Oh, yeah! My family had a 1956 Sedan de Ville. Ivory (light yellow including the top). Gold tone Sabre Spoke wheels. Those wheels were standard on the El Dorado. That car also had factory air. I recall the shipping weight as 4,600 pounds. Top all fluids, add a family of five and that car easily topped 5,000 pounds. That car was a boat that floated down the road. That was a Cadillac that looked like a Cadillac and not like the GM door stop shaped cars that exist today. Alas, our Sedan de Ville is history.

I am in no way a car specialist but, just from an esthetic and design point of vue, I've always thought that the cars from the 50's were and will always be the coolest looking.

for most American cars 1956-1962 were the best years for exterior designs in my opinion. Although some of the 1930s cars were awesome as well.
