Here's just a bunch of corrections/findings that have been brought up so far:
Taylor's computer model is an iMac G3
There's a game of Perfection, Disney edition, which released in 2019 (this is very confusing, so I'm looking into it)
Thanks, everyone for your amazing input!
The game could just be a reference
was about to say it was an older imac and not an mac
I’d like to add that I’ve seen that duck before! It was on some video I watched before but at the time I thought it might have to do with the shorts wars. I can’t recall what channel it was on, but I know that we’ll be getting clues from other channels too. There was also a “threat detected” message on the same video
The fact that the silhouette at 2:02 can be so easily recognized by almost everybody into FNAF is so amazing
I'm stcking around for this cause I'm not smart enough to solve it on my own :(
mood
I'm not smart enough to solve it ethier :(
Me too D:
Felt that
You are all amazing don’t let it take down your mood :D
Is that..... *An actual puzzle and not just a cheap digital horror‽‽‽*
Thanks, Matpat, for not forgetting that ARGs are not about horror and thank you, Starfinity, for covering Matpat's creation :D
Putting some things you said together it seems like
-Gregory and Taylor are siblings
-the mom and dad had a divorce
-the dad tries to get in touch with the kids after losing custody
-kidnapped his son (Gregory) and is trying to do the same to Taylor
Ooorrrr….
- the mom and dad have a fine relationship
- Taylor just got a bit to mad her dad cancelled the trip to the Remnant bands performance
- Taylor drew something from her nightmare one time
But I’ll be sticking around for you’re theory’s
I like the first I idea since it seem pretty good in a story perspective and LORE as well.
I'm pretty certain Taylor is an only child. We see her family photo. It's just her, her mom, and her dad. Why wouldn't her brother also be in the photo?
have yall notice the description? The capital letters in video:>
Agree with the divorce cus of scribbled out dad in the frame
I was thinking something like the first one, because it makes more sense crossing out the dad if he’s not part of the family anymore
A STAAAAAR THEORY!!!!! NGL you have og mat pat vibes, i cant wait to see you grow as a channel!!
I actually think that it’s so cool and nostalgic. I love this ngl
Not the MatPat pose. 😂😂😂
Great video as always!
Yes, the MatPat pose! Thanks as always for the support!
@@starfinity67i dare you to change the star to an x on April fools next year
Y’know wanna know what’s weird, 3251 Spring Lake Drive (the place where Gregory lives) is an actual address, it’s a surprisingly common one
9:17 there is a song named tag you're it, that if I know correctly it's about kidnapping, maybe it is somehow connected to the arg, idk about that but still, also I think you should look into game theory "Game Theory: We SOLVED Golden Freddy… Again! (ft. MatPat)" becouse I'll have a theory in that video there could be clues to the arg, it's weird for me, that Matpad returned from his retiring and talk about fnaf (and also about the new arg), seems like he wanted to bring the attention to the video by being in it and y'know fnaf, I get it if it was just for promotion, but come on it's matpad, it can't be just for promotion. Still that's just my theory, I might be wrong
The video is also on a loop where starting at 9:45 and repeating at 19:45, 29:45, ect the computer goes to sleep for 15 seconds before Taylor reaches up and moves the mouse. This creates a pattern around 9:45
I dunno if these numbers could be useful for a code later on or I'd it is just naturally where the animator started the loop and there is no significance.
Additionally three two five one (the address Gregory gives) is a song on the sptotify Playlist.
Finally, some theorists on reddit found out on the latest minecraft video that also mentions lorefi a spectogragph shows a previously used game theory arg cipher characters. It just repeats 23456. My guess is that once again this isn't an actual clue but instead to let us know for the future that videos outside lorefi (so on gametheory, film theory, ect) and those characters can be useful for solving the arg.
45 will probably be important for the story in some way
a theory I heard is that while he message is from her bio dad, the man that has been scribbled out of the picture is her step dad.
Not sure if anyone commented this yet, but Tag, you’re it can be a reference to Melanie Martinez’s song with the same name. The song is from a perspective of someone getting kidnapped, which fits with Gregory. But hey, that’s just a theory… a LoreFi theory :)
yes I thought of melanie
surprisingly, you can buy retro technology and keep it, it doesnt automatically update when a new thing comes out lol
Especially if your partents are from the 60s, its reasonable that they bought a monitor and haven't updated it
I stumbled across one of your videos on my home page and I'm so glad I found this channel you seem really cool!
Welcome aboard the Startrain! Glad you enjoy my content!
We can also see sometimes when matpat showed the lorefi logo, or teased it, sometimes there were numbers in the logo
I did see that, but I haven't come up with anything yet about that.
@@starfinity67 that makes sense, just wanted to know if you knew!
What are the numbers please as I cannot read or at least I can't see it.
Don't forget that the Butterfly Effect is a movie from 2004. Short version (and spoilers!): It's about a college student who has blackouts and finds out he can time-travel into his younger self. He attempts to change the past, and learns that he gets unintended consequences! He finally picks a future he can live with, although there's a darker ending on the director's cut of the movie.
I knew about that movie, but I didn't mention it to avoid redundancy, and I think most people know about it when thinking about the butterfly effect. Nonetheless, thanks for your comment!
YES!!! FINALLY!! I wasn’t able to correctly figure out the Morse code and it took me HOURS to get no real sentience because of the song at the start of the Morse code.
I find it funny that the Morse code says "Tag, you're it" and a song by Melanie Martinez called "Tag You're it" is LITERALLY A SONG ABOUT KIDNAPPING and the first thing we hear is about a boy being KIDNAPPED. I know that might seem like a stretch, or silly, but still-
I mean the arg is in its infant stages so anything goes
Also you're not reaching, I came to the same conclusion
MatPat is relatively clever, I wouldn’t put it past him to hide a song name with the same theme as the ARG to further get his point across.
this really reminded me of old matpat you did such a good job on the video ill definitely continue watching you :3
The butterfly effect I think might be referencing to the chaos theory logo from on of Matpat's past ARGs
Freddy: Bro do u know matpat is still making videos
Gregory: no
Freddy: he has a new channel
Gregory: what tha hail
Freddy: channel name is
Gregory: (opens youtube) What
Freddy: starfinity
It's not sarcasm it's real your every good even using the pose, the lines, and editing is also good I think you'll become new the 5th leader of the theorist circle or pentagon
That sounds really cool! Thanks for your support!
Part of me wants to combat the July 2005 date. Cause there’s that one message about a group project on her computer. From my knowledge the only school projects taking place during the summer would be summer reading. But I was homeschooled so maybe that’s just the medias influence on what should be a summer project
love the background music
I mean, there literally was a movie in 2004 called The Butterfly Effect. That could be what that means.
I somehow thought the freaky drawing covered by other papers is the Mutant Enemy Productions logo XD
hello Starfinity, im from the game theorists discord. First, i wanna say the vid was good. liked the theorizing but i would like to mention something important. the board game perfection is on top of the pile, but it is the Disney version, released in 2019. This is also most likely intentional because the board is shaped differently and the artist, DasGnomo, has known about it for at least two days and has not said anything, despite making minor contributions, and if you made a mistake it would make sense to say 'whoopsie, thats not supposed to be there'. just wanted to bring it to your intention in case you didnt know.
I'll have to think about this for the next few days. I think that is the only thing in the room that goes past 2005, so it is very strange. Is Taylor just a hip, retro kid who pretends it's still the 2000s, downloading (stealing) music from a music downloading software, owing an old computer, and other dated things? Definitely something to think about🤔 I'm glad you brought this to my attention.
Honestly, hats down to you!!
I love the PNG inspired by MatPat
Just a random thought, maybe Taylor witnessed Gregory's kidnapping and was to scared to tell anyone. It would explain why here friends were hoping she would get better as guilt would probably be eating her up and make act unwell/ call in sick to school. It would also explain the drawing as since its normal for someone to walk in her room and say hi, maybe in a dream, or a sleep paralysis state she saw the kidnapper saying hi exactly like her mom would, causing to draw it, as like, a couping mechanism
Thank you for doing this!
this is awesome, this video is such a love letter to game theory im sure mat pat would approve
Bro is contractually obligated to say: LOOOOOOOOOORE FIIIII
This video needs more likes. It's so soothing. Got that Lo-Fi vibes and all the info I've been looking for.
The duck in the spectrogram is noted as a virus in game theory's latest video, and I think it's also connected with the channel logo
Make sure to check the subtitles on the youtube video, every so often a letter shows up, usually an A, oh or an M. occasionally a full word shows up, such as Yes, wow, etc. I believe its a code, but I'm not done with it yet. It's pretty long and obviously put there intentionally. To see all the subtitles together, go to transcripts.
I looked at that, but I haven't put anything together. Let me know if you find something!
@@starfinity67 My guess is that it's a cryptogram, the repetition of certain letters as well as the patterns point to that. Also remembering it's matpat, the decryptogramed letters could be another code.
Tag your it is the name of a song with clues pointing to a kidnapping
The first lore fi title, the slowly appearing on the screen at the beginning, displayed Morse code (I guess) for D.
yoo so underated
your style is almost exactly like mat
You sir are fantastic you have earned yourself a new subscriber I will be sticking around for more theory’s on lorefi along with my own investigations.
8:48 THATS THE SAME PICTURE FROM THE TRIAL CHAMBERS VIDEO ON GAME THEORY
But hey! That's just a theory... A STAR THEORY!
This is a great video! I think your theories are solid, I'm glad to be subscribed.
U gained another subscriber! NGL you are gonna grow a lot in future!
Already love the 1st minute. I busted out laughing when I saw u do the Matpat signature Png pose
I'm so glad youtube recommended you,I'm not smart enough to solve these ;-; so I'll be enjoying your theories and stuff
spring lack, william, remnant, gregory, a purple desk related object, dead people, creepy thing behind the doors, it seems obvious right?
Thank you for decoding the Morse code! I’ve been trying to figure it out for a week now, and I couldn’t find a good answer.
I loved it when i found matpat's arg character has my name :D
I…just. HOW do people do this 😭😭😭😭😭
I’d like to point out that Tag you’re it could mean someone kidnapping someone (possibly Gregory).
Not my family being extremely annoyed at me for talking about this every day
We also know that Taylor is or most likely was doing ballet
I love how good this channel is
Maybe Taylor's dad has something to do with this? I don't know, but you already beat me to theorizing about this :3
Love this so much, can't wait to hear more :D
great work, keep it up
Hey, cool video. I enjoyed it😁 I think you have some good theories on what this ARG could be going towards.
Tough I do think, "Just as some criticism, I'm not a professional"
you should maybe make the thumbnail a bit less pixilated, and I feel like your writing could use a bit more structure and humor. (Again, I'm not a professional. I just really see potential in you and thought to give you my thoughts 😅)
Appreciate the feedback! I'm hard at work on the next theory, so I'll put your advice in mind. :)
We will be here for the starrrrrrr theory.
Thanks for making the video.
And wow when I tried solving it and did not notice the door open.
Other things I did but thanks for confirming me
yo for the PC i would say she has an Imac G3 from 1998 - her pc and G3 are super similar
Yeah, I'm seeing that now. Thanks! I was never good at finding models for things!😂
*Video ends*
me: *NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!*
this dude needs more subs
@notsnowy6640 thanks for the support!
Id like to mention that on the picture where the dad is scribbled out under the X on his face there's a skull I've been obssessing over what this could mean anyways great job on the video
Maybe it means that Taylor's father is dead to her? I don't think he's actually dead, but metaphorically he is.
@@starfinity67That's a good theory
GUYS, guys. I have a theory
Gregory is actually a robot that’s been kidnapped and put into her computer. I guess he’s sorta a glitch now, and a trap I guess
A glitch trap
NOOOOOOOOO! I CAN'T ESCAPE FROM FNAF!😭
Thats actually so cool🔥🔥
The fact that you used green text.... amazing champ
Ok Matpat let the Kid go
Haven't seen the whole video yet but about the duck spectrogram, when you said it looked like a man, I sort of agree? the 'nose' just looks like a really weird mustache for me lol
NOT THE BFDI FACE
As a Jurassic Park/Worold fan, I was caught off guard hearing “chaos theory” because 1) there’s a Jurassic World show coming with that title and 2) in the original novel Ian Malcom won’t stop talking about how the park gonna crash through chaos theory. Completely useless to the ARG, I just wanted to mention that.
*sniff* do i smell? *sniff* AN UNDERATED CHANNEL????
Loved the vid!
- Your 200th subscriber
Thanks for subscribing! Congrats on being number 200!
i think it takes place in 2002 bc look at one of the playlists call POV: its 2002 and youre totally not stealing music. this playlist name is totally overlooked (or not even looked at) i feel like
I thought that too. But I don't think they put those books on the shelf at random. The book "Looking for Alaska" was published in 2005, so that's the earliest this story could have taken place. I'd like to hear more about why you think it takes place in 2002 because I love talking about this! :)
@@starfinity67 yea, I'm not much into theorizing i just like looking at what an ARG can unravel into. it was just a little theory i made and yours makes much more since. tbh i wouldn't have known about the book if you anyone didn't call it out. also i subbed to see what your theory will become (also bc this is the first in depth vid on lore-fi I've seen)
Thanks for the support! I can't stop thinking about this thing, so these next few months are going to be full of theorizing for me! Enjoy the ride!
in the description the letters that are not supose to be cpitalised but are spell out keep looking
Her computer is not an emac. They were solid white. That is an imac (G3, I think?)
That seems to be the takeaway for everyone else!😂 Thanks for the correction!
6:26 it could also be a child predator but I'm not sure if Matpat and his team would go there
3:47 DUDE THATS AN IMAC G3, while not EXACTLY an imac g3, it's closer to an image g3 then an emac
the new matpat?!
What's wrong with the new owners of the theorist
I think they're doing a fantastic job! I think @omarhisham1745 was just making a funny comment.😁
@@cheetahdragonalpha5899 they're good yeah. but this guy is more matpat to me
That maybe true! But this channel may have a different purpose than matpat
The computer is an iMac G3, sold until 2003.
Thanks for the correction. I wasn't that confident in my model choice, but that's why there's more than one theorist! :)
So far we think its 2004
*5 sorry
Butterfly Effect movie was in 2004 too
YOU SAWED IT YOU SAW THE DIED DAD
The perfection game was a fluke I think
@@thedarkewizard7496 We'll see where this goes when we get more clues.
Ain’t no way it’s solved lmao (then again I have a very big google doc I made from just that one small video it uploaded soooo, uhhh…guess there can be plausible theories so…yeah)
Is anything truly solved in the world of theorists? We must remember that it is all just a theory.😏
@@starfinity67 yeah, fr
This is my theory: her dad kidnapped her brother Gregory
Nice you uploaded!
Btw can you check who Arvul is its in the trailer i cant make up what he or she said.
my theory is her dad kidnapped gregory or at least has something to do with it
That's a neat looking mouth there bud, now hand it over, before things get messy...
but it's no solved yet :T
I mean, I got to that conclusion myself without much investigation
I know. Just wanted to make a fun video about this series. Can't stop thinking about it!🤪
I bet he's a robot
U know what? All of this is from the video's comment section 😂😂
A new video just got uploaded! I have a feeling her dad might’ve cheated or something
Also, since it’s very kidnapped and music orient it might be a reference to Melanie Martinez song“ tag you’re it”
MODS, dox gregory
I don't even know how you guys infer she's a girl. I couldn't tell.
What I can say is that since her school essay is typed, she's likely in college. High school teachers usually insist on hand writing but college professors prefer typed.
"Stealing music"
So you think orginal file is deleted?
It's just a thought based on a playlist from the LoreFi Spotify titled, "POV: It's 2002 and you're totally not stealing music." It sounds like that's what Taylor's doing.
Cool :3
bro dont clickbait us with that title. you didnt solve the whole thing.
@@nameless24777 There is a question mark behind "Solved," so I didn't completely click bait, but your comment has been acknowledged for future videos.👍
Ok so you have made 1 mistake so far @3:53 this is not an eMac is an iMac G3. The previous release. The G3 was known as the jellybean due to its partially coloured shell. The iMac G3 was discontinued in march 2003 and went on sale in 1998
That could make sense since she could have been keeping this model for a couple of years. Thanks for the input! While the date doesn't necessarily change, it's nice to get more detail. The computer model was really just a guess from me, since I don't know much about them.😂
@starfinity2449 there's also other things I picked I. So I agree with the date of 2005-6
Look at the 2 consoles the Game boy colour (discontinued 2003) and the n64 (2002)
Not sure what that means yet but it feels important
Hi, what editing software do you use?
I use Adobe Premiere Pro for my videos
title: SOLVED!?
video: *leaves off with no real knowledge about the main premise and an admition that there are more clues already*
4:37 ok so why does the spotify page say 2002
Well, I don't think that the LoreFi team would put those books on the shelf randomly. Then again, there's a Disney edition of Perfection that was released in 2019, so maybe these mean nothing, but it is just a theory.
I agree that the books aren’t random, but i don’t know if the release date matters. I noticed that taylor specifically has harry potter and the order of the phoenix, but no other harry potter books. I think there might be some story parallels between the books and Lore-Fi, but i’m not entirely sure.
True that we're not sure how meticulous the details are, but we at least know it's in that vicinity of time.
