I've done a similar tactic like this in Strikers Club where I submit a Bowser or DK that has 23 strength and 12 speed as my captain to catch my opponents off guard and to apply constant pressure on their face-off circle every time my team score goals.
There's something insane about the mushroom in this game. A perfect tackle + an active mushroom = you shoot off like a rocket, plow through anyone that's in the way and get immediate possesion of the ball (if you hit the guy with the ball, that is). Like, seriously, nobody can ever react against that!
I don't know if you ever covered quick perfect shot, like bouncing the ball on the wall and getting a perfect shot out of it or accelerating so that your character release the ball and you can get a perfect shot without stoping, those can be usefull when your team-mates are down or far behind and you don't have time to charge a shot. Appart from that, great video idea, that's ridiculous how you made this build work!
Well titans chip is a specific set up, one where boom boom AI goes to intercept the ball and you score over him. Other times where you just bounce the ball off the wall is different.
This might be a stupid question but how do you choose your online team?!? I never get the screen at 4:13 where you can just pick any character, it's always my captain, my other squad member's captain, and 2 randomers?! Help!!
In strikers club you cannot choose your team. You can only choose from club members' builds, up to 20. If you do not have any members it will fill random.
I have DK's stats at 18 strength, 15 speed, 11 shooting, 12 passing and 7 technique. Sure it's not as burly as the others on the fat team but he's still very strong and this way one gets some good speed and passing out of him while not completely sacrificing his shooting. Adding that model to this team would be interesting to see since you'd have a second fast character.
I genuinely think high strengths teams are antimeta rn. nice video! but i was also wondering what are the circles and diamonds above your characters? does it serve a purpose or just a visual thing?
Visual assist in the options probably. I agree about the strength teams though, if the opponent doesnt have anyone 17 Str they just can take out the wario

this is just called titans chip

You see this? THIS? This is why I emphasize the importance of Technique on defenders. Sometimes you just need those faster perfect tackles!
How do you perfect pass when free passing? I don't remember that being in the tutorial
It's the timing, the target will blink blue while it will be a perfect pass.

I got the quiz right. The devs really need to fix the switch mechanic so that you switch to the character you actually need every time.
Max speed DK also kinda nice in the midfield IMO. Huge hit box and decent strength + passing (can make point blank shots too with fine shooting stat)
Also new builds because of knight armour.
What about all speed next? I think it could be neat experiment to see hlw easy it is to dodge stuff and get in position with quick characters
