Thanks for the content brother and love the shop! I saw on EC Details KCX tour you mention the combination of MSN as pre-wash with Super foam/active foam as the contact wash if you wanted to strip or prep a car for ceramic coating. I mainly install ppf and ceramic at the shop. How would you dilute these two in an MTM foam cannon/ Kranzle setup just like yours? (I have the OG wall mounted custom pressure washer solution as well) Currently I’m doing an apc rinse if bad, Obsessed Garage Decon Soap before ceramic or PPF packages but bought this combo tonight and have loved everything from Koch Chemie I’ve tried so far. Appreciate the help and God Bless!
Great video. Enjoyed it. I picked it up, too. After the rainshowers here, I went with 40:1 and worked very well for me. Can't wait to try it at 20:1. Thanks for sharing
Would this be ok to use every 1-2 months on a ceramic coated vehicle when maintenance washes with GSF are not done? If so would the 1:30 dilution be ok?
I was doing 2oz to a 32oz foam cannon. That's a little strong isn't it. Last time I did 1oz MSN and 1oz Active foam for more foam. Active foam wasn't doing it for the dried small bird poo. MSN destroys it and kills caked on wheel grime. It's gunna replace a few product for me.
whats the big difference between this, and Green star, and super foam? I've been using Geen star 1:10 in my foam cannon for a pre-wash and I'm thinking about switching that up for MSN, or super foam, or is there another product KC has that would suit better?
Is this something you can use regularily or is it a little harsh unless the vehicle is extra dirty? Currently using Active foam as my pre wash foam. Just wondering how they compare.
What will happen if I use msn 1:30 on a vehicle that is only protected by Koch chemie s0.03 and I apply that sealant after every wash and I do wash my vehicle every week. Is there any side effects?
For 4% PIR I've had to use 270ml of BH. That's 1:2,7 ratio. For MSN or VBN (Europe) I've been using it 1:10 with very little difference. With the MJJC foam Cannon at 1:5 - 1:7, it creates too much foam so it doesn't stay that long on the panel so for me that's product waste.
To be honest bro you could get that off with simple green I’m trying to see if MSN is good for a car that isn’t regularly washed or a real test not mud lol
Yes it works, and your dilution ratios with multi star are much lower. Simple green has a ph of 8.5-9, and thats pre dilution and if used straight is applied by hand in a sprayer. When 2 oz of simple green is mixed with 30 oz of water your solution is a ph of about 7.3-7.5, neutral. When 2 of MSN at ph 13.5 is mixed in to 30 oz of water you get a ph close to 12.5, -very- basic. A high base cleaner/solution will emulsify dirt, and general road grime, turns tar and oils into soap themselves that are easily rinsed off, degrade sap and bug guts, and generally removes all organic and inorganic contamination minus metallic bonds which is iron/metal fall out in your paint and is generally way safer on paint and metal components of your car. Default to alkaline 9/10. Acidic for water spots, and iron/metal particle contamination (high base can remove break dust as well though). ie MSN is a beast, and is essentially a touchless car wash and will clean about 95% of the dirt on your car with a simple soak, dwell, and pressure washer rinse. DO NOT USE IT TO CONTACT WASH either in the bucket on when on the car. It will penetrate your gloves and begin to destroy your organic material (skin). Follow with a ph neutral soap for that remaining 5%. Use this on crusted cars all day.
Good stuff, MSN has quickly become my favorite high powered pre spray. 20:1 in my IK foamer and 10:1 in a standard foam canon works amazing....
Just imagine if I had went 10:1 on this. I think 20:1 did a great job though
Great video definitely gonna have to give this a try. The garage looks awesome appreciate the content.
Hopefully I can do a garage tour vid soon
Any plans to do a finished garage tour?
For sure. Stay tuned
Nice vehicle! I love MSN for heavily soiled vehicles. I don’t need it often, but keep it on hand for so I have it ready.
Bring that thing up to Chattanooga this weekend for the Riverside show.
I’ll see what I can do

I would run 20:1 on each

I used Multi Star for several years, but I don't understand what is the difference between MSN and MS?
Basically the MSN is without Nitrilotriacetic acid
Great stuff. Did you follow up with a contact wash? Very impressed with the cleaning power.
I actually just did a quick rinseless after

Yeah that would be fine
@@MtnTownDetail Ty! What would you recommend to boost the ceramic coating?
Koch Chemie SIO2 is the topper

You just earned a sub...
Great content!
Much appreciated
How much product do I add to my 30oz foam canon to make it work as good as you in the video?
definitely great for the environment..
What is the dilution in a bucket
MSN isn’t a soap it’s just a prewash. So you wouldn’t use it in a bucket.
This stuff looks amazing!! I have a IK Foam Pro 12 , what’s a good dilution ratio for it! Thanks
I would still run a 20:1
Thanks, def going to try this!👍🏼
I just bought GSF anf AF- looking forward to trying them. Would this be more equivalent to super foam?

Msn is a stronger Alkaline than Gs. So with Msn you would use less product for a strong dilution.
Same. I like MSN better for the bird poo fighting. It's stronger.
@@robertpurvis6106stronger than active foam?
Is this something you can use regularily or is it a little harsh unless the vehicle is extra dirty?
Currently using Active foam as my pre wash foam. Just wondering how they compare.
Msn is a bit stronger. I typically only go to MSN if my vehicle is really dirty.
Thanks for the great video! What type of coating is on your FJ? Do you use any trim and/or wheel protectants?
Coating wise I just use S0.03 sealant. I add it about every other month. Trim is coated with C0.02 as well as the wheels
What is the difference between MSN and Vorreiniger B? (VB). And when you add diluted products to the MTM cannon, what setting do you use?
They are essentially the same, just MSN is the American branding and is a bit more alkaline due to offroading/truck & semi truck numbers in the US
What will happen if I use msn 1:30 on a vehicle that is only protected by Koch chemie s0.03 and I apply that sealant after every wash and I do wash my vehicle every week. Is there any side effects?
if you still notice beading on each panel after the prefoam stage and contact wash with a neutral soap then your sealant is still there.
@@rgvautoprois it safe to use msn on a weekly basis?
Where can i get that mesure cup😮

How does it compare to green star ?
It’s a higher ph so it eats more
The difference is just 0.5. GS is 12.5 while MSN is 13. GS might work just as well in a pump sprayer I suppose
How does this compare to BH Touch-Less?
I’m a KCX guy. I honestly have never used BH
