Great vid as usual I enjoy Katie's content too..and btw..ive never ever had bubble tea! Idk what they even are tbh! 😂
The base is really sweet tea, often flavored, often with added cream. Like the tea equivalent of a Starbucks coffee. Then the little "bubbles" in it are made of a kind of firm gelatin. Like firmer than most jello, but less firm than a Mike & Ike's candy. Closer on the firmness scale to jello. You drink it with a really wide straw so you get little sweet bubble pieces as you drink.

Thanks, Danielle! Liz did a good job of describing bubble tea (also known as boba). Fundamentally it's a tea base with milk added in and little balls of tapioca at the bottom. The tapioca is usually sweetened by honey, and sinks to the bottom of the cup. There are variations in how different places make it, and they often specialize in other dessert-type drinks, but a basic bubble tea/boba is made like that. It's so yummy, but seems to be a love/hate kind of thing for people. LOL
