Id venture to agree this was the best tune on asylum.. cool vid... I never did understand what/how it was recorded because it never sounded the same to me live but your explanation makes sense now 38 yrs later...lol
great job 👏 was going to say i’d love to see a riff from the Vinnie Vincent Invasion like the song “ashes to ashes” or “boys are gonna rock” and i actually like the late 80’s version of Kiss without the makeup
Great riff that nobody seemed to get right, until now that is. Do they occasionally add the low E (root note) as a pedal note on the original recording? Congrats on your version of the vocal melody, love it! Thank you for the lesson.
Thanks! Yeah, in fact I think there is one guitar that just chugs away on the low E string without playing the riff. I should have added that to the recording to fill it out a little.
I love KISS. It's my absolute favorite band. I know they because my father called me on new year's eve they where in the TV with their biggest international hit 2021. Now I'm 17 years old from Germany.
Paul was really pushing his voice higher on the 80s Kiss studio recordings. Might have transposed this one to a less demanding key for singing it live. From Lick it Up through Crazy Nights he was hitting some really high notes! Bruce was a class act all around too.
When it comes down to 80 Stuff lessons , youre my Man .
Rock n Roll forever 🤘🖤
Glad to hear that! Thanks :-)
KISS is one of my all time favorite bands. I saw them in 2019 and it was great.
Cool!
One of the best Kiss riffs, awesome Nick! 🤘🏼🎸

Yeah I think on the recording they just tuned up to F. Who knows why. But it sounds so much heavier in Eb!
Awesome man
Thanks!
Honestly I feel the Asylum album is probably the best album they put out. Absolutely love this album.
In my opinion is their best album Lick it up. I love the 80s KISS !

I started with Kiss as my first rock band so I know what you mean!

Definitely!
hell of a job dude! Would love to see you do hot little summer girl by Enuff Z’Nuff or Overnight Sensation by FireHouse!!
I think Firehouse was early 90’s. Thanks for the suggestions!
