Can breathy voiced be pronounced with vocal cord, or absolutly not ? I don't know if my question is understandable... I mean, do breathy voiced consonants look like unvoiced consonants? [b̤] and [p̤] are different? Or is something else... I'm lost...
I think there will be a slight difference , like try to wispier ( favorite , blue pen , season ) ,, I mean of course no sound will be voiced ,, but there may still be a difference between the voiced and voiceless ,, like maybe because the voiceless get aspirated so when the voiced ones get devoiced you may still feel a difference ,, however in transcribing I see a breathy voiced consonants so I think there should be a difference
Thank you very much for this, illuminatingly nice. I however have a tiny remark : you shouldn't write in phonetics but phonological notations, since you're pronouncing [bœʷ] (as English speakers rarely manage monophtongues), /bu/ would be more appropriate ^^.
Thank you for amazing video.
how am I just now discovering this?!

But she's not claiming anything about an underlying phonological representation. It's just a broad transcription.
