    I stayed in a Scarlet Lady sea terrace. I was 14094A. Loved it m! Had no problems with noise from above. I also liked just being steps away from the galley. My next cabin will be on five. I'm a bit concerned about high traffic.

      @TheWeekendCruiser  11 місяців тому +2

      Oh yeah, 5 is in the heart of it all! Is that where the cut through to Sailor Services is? Wonder if you can change the cabin if you are concerened?

      That's great to hear, as I've got a 14th deck cabin booked next year and while I'm used to noise at night, I was a bit "Is it really bad or is it fairly normal if you're used to cities".
      I'd avoid 5th if you can, though, it'll definitely be busy.

    Those sleep masks are amazing!! I’ve had one for a couple years and love it! So comfortable and it’s 100% blackout. Love them!

      Right?!?! The last one I had was a cheaper version from Amazon that was never blackout and pressed on the eyes. The Manta mask is a game changer.

    what i like most is front doors are spaced out and not right next to each other. A lot of the newer Royal and Celebrity ships the doors are right next to each other which means you will hear people coming in and out and slamming doors. This is better.

    Great tour. I booked for later this year, and I was one deck 14 as well. I called last week and got moved down a deck. I heard there was too much noise from the Galley.

      Smart move!! Yes, I stayed on deck 14 at the forward section last cruise and it wasn't like this but I would not risk it especially when their are other options. More than I have heard on any ship. Hope you have an AMAZING time!

    Nice cabin review Brandon! I am definitely planning on giving Virgin Voyages a try. I know several people that have been on that ship and give it rave reviews. Fun fact, did you know that Royal used to go to Puerto Plata as one of their main ports in the Caribbean? I have been there several times!

    • @TheWeekendCruiser
      @TheWeekendCruiser  Рік тому +1

      That is the thing with Virgin, if you go on it, you are going to like it. I did not know that about Puerto Plata!! Interesting how things change but I am kind of glad they don't go there anymore.

    Good tour. Doesnt draw me from RC but Im old, set in my ways and not particularly welcoming of change. One of th thing I like about your pgms is that you can be old fashioned while open new stuff. I dont wanna see in the closet. I'd be happy with fewer but bigger drawers, a real desk, a real sofa, and bigger balcony table and no hammock. Id rather eat on the balcony than sleep. It's funny you dont want peeps see your stuff then make a movie of the room!

      I totally get that Ted and you have to be true to yourself! I try to be open these days but you could tell I missed a more traditional room. haha, I had never thought about that before with the closet! You are absolutely right on the irony I had never thought of! I do clean before I bring you all in though!

    I was worried as we have deck 14 booked (we stayed deck 10 the last time). A bit annoying we cannot pick a room as it takes ages mailing sailor services back and forth to get a mid elevator room. (In ireland so it costs a fortune to call virgin voyages)

      You can't call with a wifi-assist kind of siutation or Whattassp voice call? Just the hold time alone would be $100 euro!

    Hey Brandon! Another great review, thanks. We got our room assigned for our cruise in November and it was about 6 rooms down from this one. I wouldn’t normally pick a room right below a common area deck and based your feedback regarding noise, we got our TA to move us to deck 11. I always try to be in between cabin decks for the noise buffer. 🛳️

    You seem to be quite fit, tanned and energetic. Does that come from sports/games? Or from gymwork? How is the fitness-centre aboard this ship? Is there anything in the Virgin cruise-ships to match the spa-cuisine and health-theme of Royal Caribbean's Vitality Cafe, for instance?

    • @TheWeekendCruiser
      @TheWeekendCruiser  Рік тому +1

      Hey Brent and love all of your questions! I made a video on Virgin's fitness offerings and will link below. I do try to go to the gym and eat "healthier" while on the ship. By going every weekend, I cannot treat it like my once a year vacation. I would say overall, I find it much easier to eat healthy on Virgin Voyages than other lines. I went to The Wake bar at the back of the ship for fresh pressed juices but don't recall seeing protein shake type of drinks. ua-cam.com/video/prXPckSP2JI/v-deo.html

      @@TheWeekendCruiser No, we were taught the metric system in public school because the USA was going to switch to the metric system. It’s from memory. 62mph is 100kph and 2.2lbs per kilogram or 100kilograms is 220 pounds. I love the simplicity. 0°centigrade equals 32°Fahrenheit and 100°C = 212°F water freezes at 0°C and boils at 100°C at sea level
      I don’t have my air pressures memorized or horsepower to metric. I’m no trying to show off or anything like that, just being helpful (I hope).
