Hello, I'm trying to set up the ZOOM MS-70CDR pedal on the Roland MX-1 mixer, I checked the instructions in the MX-1 manual, but I'm not getting it. Perhaps there is some detail that I am not considering. Could you help me with this setup?

Sweet. What's your output/mixer setup like? I've got the beats and keys, peripherals and pedals I want to output and trying to figure out the best way to manage all the wires :-) thanks in advance, your stuff is great!
In this video everything goes through simple passive mixer Art Splitmix4 (black box with four encoders) and then to Zoom MS-70 pedal. Mixer is very simple, very cheap ant doesn't require any kind of power supply. Nothing special at all.
Thanks for showing that you can use "toy" keyboards to make good music. I have the ConcertMate 470, the Casio SA-5 equivalent, that I picked up at a yard sale. This makes me want to experiment with it. Keep it up; your music is in a few of my playlists.

That's a very good demonstration of the difference between all that expensive equipment and virtuosity (like in "complicated ways of playing music") and your probably mostly intuitive musical competence and a huge amount of sensitivity/feelings together with a simple setup. It's similar to the rule of KISS (keep it simple and stupid) in the field of programming. Simple things done really well are almost always much better than complex attempts to demonstrate virtuosity. That's not unusual, restrictions often lead to better kinds of arts...artists often restrict themselves (materials, tools) to challenge their creativity. From your hands, I guess you are quite young? I would recommend to stay on this track, just have fun, do the things you like and how you like and don't listen to the industry or fashion. However, you might listen to great musicians you like, but please keep your own style.

Really nice sounds there mate, I tried recently to bid for the Zoom MS 70CDR on eBay but only failed to win the item because in the last 2 minutes there was a fury of bidders trying hard to beat my bid and I was driving on a busy country road at the time of the sale with no stopping places and very little signal so it was hard to make the right offers, I will get one soon though because the reviews I've seen on this little effects pedal with it is simply brilliant and its capabilities are great too, its been hailed as being as good as the Strymon BlueSky but on a budget (it's about a third of the price of the Strymon) and you can stack up to 6 different sounds at the same time which in my books sounds awesome I really have got interested in effects pedals recently as there are so many different ones available compared to the amount of synthesizers out there this can only be a good thing and it will help to bring the creative sounds out in oneself, I recently read a comment on someone playing a Korg Volca which said something like " some effects pedals make cheap sounding synthesizers sound great, and great sounding synthesizers sound awesome" well how true this must be, I had the Volca Keys for around 3 years now and I also had the Volca Bass but I sold it to someone and now I regret my selling of it, I'll need to get another one, I also have a few other keyboards including Roland's SH01, Korg's Minilogue, and the great Korg MS20 which sounds amazing and I can't wait to get my hands on the Zoom pedal to try it out on my synthesizers B-) I have just subscribed to your channel and given you a thumbs up, by the way, that little Casio keyboard that you are using looks like a toy but you make it sound really good :-) thanks for sharing and best regards too . Hi Glen, I think this Zoom pedal is great addition to Volca Keys and any another small synthesizer. It sounds really awesome, totally worth it. @@Glenfiddich101 Glen, I think from memory in the manual it says to not use manganese batteries, but stick to alkaline or NiMh rechargeables.
