After you sign the contract that's it. You just need to agree on pay and a date. Pro wrestling is far more invasive in your life. They even control your social media to some degree.

MMA is a man vs man sport. Pro wrestling is a group effort, many moving parts. You need to interact with the roster. In MMA you only need to interact with the fighter on that day just to fight. After you sign the contract that's it. You just need to agree on pay and a date. Pro wrestling is far more invasive in your life. They even control your social media to some degree.

I blame the fans for stirring up so much bs with colt and punk to the point where punk needed to adress it as it was all over social media when he didn't even want anything to do with the guy and colt wasn't even on tv that much to begin with. AEW hasn't been good since 2021 and the ratings and numbers for each weekly television show have dwindled especially after losing their biggest star who's hometown was the highest draw when it came to ticket sales, ppv buys, and merch. Punk defeated Mox. Wrestling whilst injured I 100% agree on. Was it a "how much can you move right now you wanna be part of the show backstage?" Or "can you be in the ring even though you're in a chair?". Punk had massive issues with WWE and the talent before making what seemed an emotional decision moving to MMA and then leaving shortly after I feel for the guy he seems lost after everything he's done in wrestling having others put infront of him who did less to sell tickets but aew used him like that ahead of other talent arguably punks better. Before leaving AEW he demanded ace steel be given a job backstage after biting someone in the hand (what I heard). Once he became upset it seemed to spiral where as the young bucks bounced back after their suspension and Adam Copeland made comment of not rocking the boat, which seemed to point it back to punk.

I read this article and Moxley didn't refuse to lose as much as he was wanting to do a "Rocky III" angle and put Punk over as the Babyface at the end. Mox was basically Clubber Lang. He wanted to squash Punk, and Punk get riled up by Ace Steele (Mickey) then beat Mox in the rematch. Punk being the baby he is leaked these stories and also stated "He had never seen and Rocky movie." Which is baffling to most people that work in sports entertainment.
