For this purpose, you can definitely do better than a Jackery. The EcoFlow Delta 2 comes to mind. It charges faster, it has longer charge cycles, you can monitor and control it remotely, and you can extend the capacity if you need more power.

      Whats the charge time??

Ecoflow 12v port is regulated to 126w, might not even powerful enough to start the heater, far as I know ONLY Jackery can let you go over 120w from the cigarette lighter plug

Any issues with melting at the 12v plug end? I’ve heard some people say it’s dangerous to power these by 12v plug

No issue with the heavy gauge 12v cord but I am not so sure about the heater itself so far. It has given me some issues. I think it is the kerosene mix. I was running it to heavy on the kerosene end.

I have a 1500 Jackery pro but I bought a 8w vevor diesel heater. Will that work too? I can’t find a single answer anywhere

I have the same Jackery 1000 pro. I tried to use it to power my 5kw diesel heater and the Jackery shut off after about 150w output. Any way around tbat or how did you work around that issue? Here is the kicker, I used my Jackery 300 for the same purpose - no issues at all.

Hmmm? Only thing I can think of is what you’re using for wire to hook to the Jackery. Seems odd to me. Never seen one that wouldn’t run it. There’s a ton of videos with other people using theirs as well. What gauge wire is it? Are you plugged into the AC/12 volt directly? Only other thing I can think of is a potential issue with the jackery. If the problem persists I’d reach out to them. Great warranty from my understanding. Lastly I do not believe I’ve seen my diesel heater pull more than 100 watts on start up. Seems also like you may be drawing to much on start up..

Thanks for getting back to me. Yea, using the cigarette plug directly into the jackery. I’m using a HD cable capable of 15A. The jackery 1000pro just can’t handle the wattage via cig plug.

@@WallyOutdoors ok, just reporting back…not sure if you care, but your advise helped me out. I initially had a wire of capable of 15A. I changed the wire to 10A and everything works perfectly. Thanks, dude. Obviously, I had no clue. ✌🏼

@@Doubledown732mind sharing what wire you used? Was it also a SAE cigarette charger? I’m also having issues with me diesel heater dying on startup. Jackery Explorer 700 plus

I really wanna like the new Jackeries, but they're pretty much the equivalent of the middle-aged husband that's still bragging about being the high school quarterback two decades ago. Nothing has changed in the past few years really. Their reluctance to join in on the LFP bandwagon is what gripes me the most.

Lots changed... This isn't a review though just a how to for diesel heaters. Lots of options out there. Thanks for watching and I appreciate your thoughts on this.
