Funny that Destiny Heroes were the ones hoarding draw power IRL. Bubbleman got the restrictions so that Disk Commander, Destiny Draw, even Malicious can exploit themselves.
1:38 It funny cause he didn't set his traps for the big reveal of his destiny monsters so the fact the dub just shows off without an care is nice. Something I can’t help but notice. Sometime when Jaden should lose the writers conveniently forget that skyscrapers effect only applies when his monsters are on the attack.
I’m a bit confused: When Jayden played sky scrapper its effect is that it boosts an elemental hero atk by 1000. So why didn’t it work on shinning phoenix inforcer to like on shinning flare wingman
@@playingfireleo2962 that's the irl effect. The anime version only worked for Jaden here because when it activated, Jaden's shining flare wingman was weaker
Rip Phoenix Enforcer and Shining Phoenix Enforcer In the sub they get the “guy” word at the end of their names, making it seem like these two were related to the D heroes without having names starting with “D” Nowadays I’d just see them as multiversal variants, before I thought they were doing a Marvel vs DC sort of thing
@@binarystar300I think OP is referring to the card errors like showing VWXYZ Dragon Catapult Cannon in Aster's graveyard, and Jaden having Terrorking Archfiend, Diffusion Wave-Motion and Yellow Gadget in his deck instead of the intended cards.
Maybe if Jaden had attacked Dreadmaster with Flame Wingman instead of playing Fusion Gate, he'd have won, for Clock Tower Prison is only supposed to prevent battle damage. Or, even if it did prevent effect damage as well, Dreadmaster wouldn't have gotten enough ATK to defeat Jaden after Fusion Gate was activated.
Aster MISPLAYED A LOT in this duel. He had better opportunities and in one of the turns, he could've attacked with Doom Lord or even use his ability to banish Wroughtweiler to brick Jaden or even use Misfortune on Bubbleman since Jaden has 150 LP and he takes 400 LP so Aster wins earlier. Jaden's biggest misplay was his final turn (penultimate in the entire duel). He could've resummoned Shining Flare Wingman instead.
@@jettskie1986Damage-wise yes, true. But the point was not the attack (he can still do so but Dreadmaster protects all Destiny Heroes as you have pointed), but for Jaden to extend the Duel. Jaden still has Clayman and Necroid Shaman (Jaden can still switch the latter to DEF mode.) Aster's turn and he attacks either Clayman or Necroid Shaman then he uses Doom Lord's effect to re-banish Shining Flare Wingman since it now has 3100 ATK. Then goes with his usual pattern, activate Diamond Dude's effect (draw the top card of his deck, excavate and if it is a spell, he can play it next turn)
Jaden misplayed so hard on that last turn. Wingman’s effect is burn damage, so he could’ve attacked either of his monsters and burned the rest of his LP
Jaden should have attacked Avian and Diamond Dude with Sparkman and Flame Wingman, then wait for Bubbleman to return on Aster's next turn. Unless Aster drew a Level 4 or less monster with 1000 ATK or more, he wouldn't be able to win that turn. In that case, Jaden could have played Fusion Gate, create Mudballman and Shining Flare Wingman, maybe Summon another monster depending on his draw... Aster's best options to revive with Dreadmaster were Diamond Dude and Doom Lord, the second of which could have banished Shining Flare Wingman for 2 turns; then Dreadmaster could have taken Necroid Shaman down. However, Jaden could have attacked with Mudballman and some other monster among the 2 cards he'd had drawn in those 2 turns after the Fusion Gate... He even had Necroshade on the GY, so had he drawn Bladedge, that was another beatstick he could have counted on, who could pierce through Aster's Doom Lord into his LP, had he played it in Defense for safety.
If I'm not mistaken, Dreadmaster prevents all Destiny Heroes to be destroyed the turn it was Special Summoned. Aster will not received any battle damage when they battle as well.
@@jettskie1986 But Dreadmaster himself is not immune so summoning a monster stronger than him (Shining Flare Wingman) and attacking Dreadmaster would have given Jaden the win.

This is actually Jaden's biggest misplay. Yes, he could've resummoned Shining Flare Wingman with 3400 ATK. Although Aster is safe from Battle Damage, at least Jaden can still stay for a few turns. After this, Necroid Shaman can be switch to DEF mode and end his turn. Aster's turn and draws a card.
