The Crystal Beasts were essentially Pendulums before ARC-V introduced them. They were a preview of what the concept of Pendulums would become. Monsters and spells.
I'd say they more predicted things like artifacts, and the effects of certain snake eye cards. Pendulums are a while other thing. But the crystal beasts did show us that monsters could exist outside of the monster zones.
I am glad golden rule helped cb's a ton and the starter was affordable after the pendulum one. 13:03 the dark ones are hard to use though another real life upgrade in neos fusion for rainbow neos is fun (rainbow dragon takes effort let alone dark), though defenseless on opponent's turn.
It’s such a cool concept and yet disappointing because outside of Rainbow Dragon the Crystal Beasts aren’t very good. I wish they would’ve made them stronger cards.
@ryanstaiger1712 sapphire Pegasus mage power was good though. The advanced ones were pretty bad though you could use the eagle one to search their field, and maybe set up dark armed dragon due to the graveyard attribute change.
The Crystal Beasts were one of the most unqiue archetypes Konami created at the time - kind of like a spell monster, instead of a trap monster. Before they revisited it with Artifacts, the crystal beasts were used like a resource for combos and swarming. They kind of died down when Synchros were announced, but then had a revival as a resource for Xyz summoning. Recently, they had a structure deck released and also the advanced crystal beasts were released so they are more popular than ever. It was always a shame that Rainbow Dragon was so difficult to summon, with a payoff that loses to any removal ever. The new support fixes that to a degree, but rainbow dragon is still a terrible payoff for the setup it required.
It’s incredibly elaborate for a monster that has zero defense points (if an opponent changes its position you’re doomed) and an ability that essentially resets the field. Its other ability isn’t great if you have no Crystal Beasts left. If the ability was that Rainbow Dragon stays and everything else goes then it would’ve been a much better payoff.
I genuinely wonder if the writers even paid attention to the show. It’s obvious what isn’t a spell and what isn’t a trap, but they don’t seem to care for any detail whatsoever.
something just hit me. Why didnt Jaden summon storm neos in defense mode? There didnt seem to be any restriction on its effect based on its postion. Summon it into defense, use instant space, tank the hit from RDD, and he could have won the duel.
I feel like the Advanced Crystal Beasts are a lot better in real life than they are in the anime. I wish Rainbow Dark Dragon was much better in real live they should’ve made some additional support for the Rainbow Dark Dragon and given it some extra protection. I would love to see a fusion of Rainbow Dark Dragon and Rainbow Dragon and it should be called Rainbow Chaos Dragon.

They need to check how these player shuffle their deck, Jaden most of the time have the component to make wingman in first turn And jesse has that field spell to on the first turn lol
Jaden made a misplay if he attacked topaz or sapphire b4 using storm neos effect, yubel wouldn’t b able to play thousand buster, 1400 or 1200 points of damage😑😑
Man the dialogue difference between Eng and JP dub is night and day
I just realized that Jesse Anderson and Crow Hogan have the same voice actor in Christopher C. Adams. Pretty cool to think about

Didn’t Union monsters do that first? 🤨
We got real time anime duels before GTA6, thank you for these videos i love them!!
I just realized that Jaden uses the triple fusions in every final duel in this season.
I love how Kuriboh is literally the whipping boy of the Yugioh world.
😂thats literally his job tho.
The fact Judai combined with Flame Wingman’s attacks was kinda awesome
This channel is underrated🔥
Anyone else notice that the barrier for Advanced Dark looked like a recolored Seal of Orichalcos without the symbol in the middle?
And the symbols on the outer ring are also different.
I did. I noticed it when it came out.
Exactly what I thought
Imagine having magma neos and chaos neos on the field with storm neos.
No we can’t imagine anything cuz it won’t actually happen 💀
Storm and chaos neos were only summoned once😢😢
You know it would be smart for Jaden to summon storm neos in defence mode

Woah anime advanced Pegasus just summons from deck!! Wow!
17:37 I'm lost here, did the card just burn both for 1000 outright or did it have to destroy a monster first for the burn like a Blazing Mirror Force?
I think it destroyed the monster then dealt 1000 to both.
@@ryanstaiger1712 Ah, OK
So that trap card jaden use in his 2nd turn is basically soul crossing or soul exchange
Why did Jaden only draw two cards instead of three when he played fifth hope? Since he had zero cards after playing it he gets three cards not two.
Neos was on the field, thus draw 2

Just noticed where they are playing is yubels field spell . I see the throne

8:22 Jaden duel disk is on the wrong arm.
No it's not. Look closer.

Mosi around skyn page eighteen, breaks in fashion.

Worse than that, Adrien starts his duel against yubel with 4/5 pieces of exodia in his opening hand, and his top deck is the 5th piece
@@ScarletKuriboh owh yeah that exodia dude ,lol almost got one turn win
15:28 Super Polymerization!?
12:40 😮
Hahahaha
17:57 whoa that was close😮😮
gonna be honest. this duel should have been a draw with both jesse and jaden being sent to the stars
😮😮😮😮 they should print it with that artwork 15:18
Jesse and Jaden are Team Rocket

17:25 spell card????? trick
Someone want to explain to Yubel that they aren't allowed to keep Jadens card after the duel, Jaden should get super poly back
Yes, tell the inter-dimensional monster planning on destroying all of reality that she has to obey tournament rules on card ownership.

Wait… when did Turquoise get put in the GY? lol.
At the very beginning. When Jaden destroys Cobalt Eagle Yubel sends Turquoise to the grave to not take any damage.
