The lyrics are so relatable, and the song is just so meaningful.

Everything Chris Corner does is GENIUS!
Reminiscent of those dancing silhouette animals shown on the screen at some of the live IAMX shows. Stunning visuals as usual - completely fits Chris Corner's dark vaudeville/cabaret aesthetic.

This is my seizure song. :) I love IAMX anyway, but I have non-epileptic seizures, which means when I become too stressed out, my brain puts my body through a series of repetitive motions I can't control, like a true seizure. This song has just the perfect beat & rhythm to allow me to rock back & forth to it without accidentally hurting myself. Interestingly, in this video, Chris goes through many of the same motions that I do when I have my seizures. Thanks IAMX for being awesome yet again. :)

Oh yes!!! I love IAMX! I wish I could see them live here in Mexico (a dream, I know). I just went to ¨Placebo's gig here in Mex (last Wednesday). My first Cebo gig... OMG!!! It was AMAZING!
I listen to this song at least once a day. It's got just enough of a haunting quality to stick with you... and I rather enjoy the video, too. IAMX videos are always immensely enjoyable to watch. :)

I always imagined a burlesque style dance with this vid. Love the catalogue of music from IMAX. How it's matured over the years. I can see the similarities with placebo, though I think I can hear muse too. Prob the voice that does it.

well placebo's lyrics and overall song themes revolves around emotions,sex,drugs and personel experience and alot of IAMX themes around the same subjects and both bands have a very good lead singer
so id say they are very much alike though placebo is like the king of this genre and been around for awile
on the (unreleased) Sneaker Pimps version they use a vocal sample of Dr Mabuse by Propaganda. Where Chris sings the line at 1.30 instead she is looped singing "why does it hurt when my heart misses the beat...this version is great though

Is Placebo similar to this? I'm not too familiar with Placebo, but when i discovered IAMX on here a week ago, Placebo was the first thing to pop in my head! Dunno why. Think the singers are similar.

Chris Corner is not really new to the music scene. Sneaker Pimps was the band he was in before IAMX, in the mid 90s. I highly recommend giving them a listen.
Does he really say "tell me what is love but grieving life alone"? That's what all the lyric websites list it as but it sounds to me like more of a "sh" sound where he supposedly says "life".
