I’ve new with rabbits and just about to breed my trio. I’m trying to adjust my brain to become accustomed to the harvesting. This was very helpful! Thank you! 🐇🐇🐇You have a good-looking set-up for the bunnies.
Just subscribe to your channel, been wacthing alot of buctheing rabbits on different channels. We take ours to a bucther but I have been thinking of doing it ourselfs. I use our himds to make blankets. We are a small farm in the woods in lower MI. We raise heavy milking lines Alpine dairy goat's, California and New Zealand meat rabbits. We have 25 ish laying hens, we raise meat chicken and turkeys once a year. Our farm is a wroking project. Thank you for sharing. Till next time God Bless.
Yes its tough. We have been conditioned to think meat comes from a grocery store. It is good for us to grow our own gardens and meat, as it sounds like you know. Good for you for teaching your kids about it.
Hi. I think your videos are very informative and well done, however, I have an issue with keeping rabbits in wire bottom hutches or in a hutch all together. Even if you are planning on harvesting them for their meat, why can't they have more space to run around in until that time? How long do you keep them in their hutch? I'm sorry but I just find that very sad.
Its a little sad but if you put them on the ground to hop, they will probably die lretty quick due to worms and other things on the ground. Cages are the best way to keep them healthy. As long as they have a buddy with them in their cage they generally dont look like they want more space. Rabbits naturally like small spaces, like their natural colonies underground. :)
I recommend you clean them the way we clean them in the field when we go rabbit hunting. You simply take your knife and cut from between the legs up to there rib cage. Then grab there front legs and sling them........as if you were going to throw them...........but you do not let go........all the guts fly out and the inside is clean as can be. We put them in our back pack and move on. Just a suggestion............ Question: Do you feed the chickens the rabbit guts? I am told chickens will eat anything.
I’m good at making them happy too but better because I don’t kill them and stuff. Then we’re all happy and I can watch tv with them and feel great because I bought cheaper stuff from the grocery store anyway… because rabbits are stupid to eat of course
Fortunately, breaking the neck is strictly forbidden in my country. In most cases, breaking the neck leads to immediate death. But often not. Think about it, the chance of survival with a broken neck is also quite high in humans. And the problem with the method shown here is that you don't notice at all if the animal is injured but still conscious. The rabbit is then bled out while fully conscious. Nice instructional video, you so-called animal lovers.
You spend so much time to prepare the rabbit...so much. I usually do ,max 2 minutes...max. Also cutting the rabbits head you ruined it's taste. Anyway you have your own way

My kids have a hard time with processing the rabbits, but they looove the belly-flap jerky 😋

I know your video is a year old now, but can you do one on what to do with the pelts? I liked your video style, it was very helpful to this newbie.
Wow- 😢😮 that’s really cool info! Thanks!
Too bad your son wasn't in town. I know he wanted to watch it.
@@theemergencyprepguy Out of context, that is the funniest thing i've read in a long while, i love it. God bless you both!
What does it say on his t-shirt?
Good video.... 👍 my backyard looks very similar to yours
Except I don't have any bulls running around my backyard lol!
@@theemergencyprepguy lol haha 🤣
Thank you for this video. This looks very humane
Question 🙋♂️, can you raise rabbits indoors? Like in an underground bunkers. Do they need to be outside?
Rabbits can be raised indoors but I find most breeders to prefer outdoors due to it being cleener
Why not keep the back cuts together? Uneven cooking?
Also, thank you for making this video.
Do your rabbits fart when you kill them? Mine do and I usually take discharge to the chest.
All creatures shit themselves at the point of death.
Interesting. Thanks for sharing.
You are welcome.
Do they scream?
I have considered to dispatch and harvest the rabbits myself, but it would seem i am too soft for this. Thank you for your video

Yes, there lives are quite boring. I have thought about that as well.

Nice information my friend new subscriber
Great video .
Dude great content. You look high asf
He does!! Lol I’m high watching this
Nice place
Have you ever heard of the hopper popper. A device to humanely dispatch rabbits.
Research on you tube. Are easy to make.
9:30 .. get a real
Knife
The rabbits in your chicken dispatch own are fighting ….. that creates adrenaline .

Just blathering not giving instruction from minute 15 all the narrating is um, eh, um, err.
Why would you take them from high and put them on the ground ??? I’m a chicken pen? You want disease just before you process ?????

Do you suggest the club method? What method do you use?
I’m interested in knowing what method you believe is more humane?
They all feel death… energy leaves .. universe blames you… eat salad instead .
is the universe a conscious being?
Lmao. Nah fam. I love animals way to much not to eat them. God's gift. 😁😁
Someone has children in the basement

Negative,
Why do you believe that removing the head after the rabbit is dead taints the meat? There is no blood circulating to spread any adrenaline etc
