10:36PM here in the D.R. and I'm here, watching this video, and I'm really agre. My teacher tells me the same thing, He tells me: listening a lot, English should be learned with the ears not with the eyes, because is that how your brain doesn't forget, my English level is B1 right now, I understand a lof when I'm listening movies, podcasts, music, .... but I need to speak aloud more even with myself in front of the mirror to be more fluent and learn new words every day. I really need to enhance my pronunciation, I want to improve my english skills and level up my English conversation. Posdata: I am only practicing. Have a great nice.
That is true. If I can't understand the speaker what they are talking about, I don't know how to respond. So, listening is very important. Thanks for your sharing.
I think listening with transcript is more helpful, after listening to the podcast, watch the transcript so that I can know where I don't understand, and learn how to express my opinion. I think your video is great and I watch it at 1.75x speed.
It’s nice , I understood the speech and every day I listen to a story for 1 hour, during the day I listen to music in English and in the afternoon I watch movies with English subtitles. Thanks
But remmeber, Both quality and quantity are the critical factors for listening. Quanitiy means the amount of time you listen to something. One person listen for 10 munites everyday and another listen 5 hours. there will be a big difference betweent this two person after 6 month, and quality is also important beacuse when you listen to something and you are sleepy and don't have any attention to it you won't catch anything but while listening, you listen with enthusiastic and passion so you will improve quickly.
I can understand your every single word and line but the problem is that I may stuck while speaking to someone. Now I can understand that I need more speaking practice, I'm a good listener but not a good speaker.
If you don’t know the meaning of a word, here’s what you can do: Context Clues: Try to guess the meaning from the other words around it. Often, the sentence can help you understand the general idea. Look It Up: Use a dictionary or a translation app to find the meaning. Even a quick search can help clarify things. Write It Down: Keep a list of new words, and review them later. This helps you remember and learn them over time. Ask for Help: Don’t hesitate to ask someone or use online forums to get an explanation.
Real life english doesn't sound like this video for sure. Here is the real thing: learning english won't come easy, but I agree with him, the more you listen the better you speak.
I agree that the audio in the video is slow, but it’s an excellent way to practice your listening skills. If you only listen to audio of people speaking quickly, you’ll never improve because you won’t be able to understand what’s being said in the conversation. It’s best to start with slower audio; once you’re able to understand it, you can move on to something more advanced. It’s all part of the process.
Listening can help improve your other English skills-speaking, reading, and writing-because it immerses you in the language. Here's how: Speaking: Listening helps you hear how native speakers pronounce words, use intonation, and structure sentences. You can mimic what you hear to improve your speaking fluency and pronunciation. Try repeating phrases out loud (shadowing) after listening to a podcast or conversation. Reading: Listening helps you understand sentence flow and grammar patterns, making it easier to recognize these when you read. Audiobooks with matching text are great tools for improving both listening and reading together. Writing: When you listen, you absorb how native speakers use vocabulary and structure ideas. This naturally improves your ability to write, as you start using the words and phrases you've heard. In summary, listening exposes you to natural language use, which you can apply in your speaking, reading, and writing. The key is consistency!
Thanks for the video!!! Thanks for speak clearly and calm. Thanks 'cause all what you have teach in this video is so realll. U got 1 more sub! (Maybe i have write this wrong but i think you'll understand.)
Yes, listening helps your writing by exposing you to the language as it's naturally used. You pick up new words, understand how sentences flow, and reinforce grammar rules. All this helps you write more naturally and accurately.
sum up and give your position .How to the reaching which have level in articles and publication and understanding.... Firm me in that. guide me and inspire me..... Definition terms starting from your position. Oh my profesor
Obviously you have to have other methods to study as well. Listening is very important but you have to combine it with other methods, don't expect to learn just by listening.
That helps you become a better listener, It won't make you better speaker, so you have to practice speaking brother... Then only the words come out very fluently
Do you have solutions suitable..... I have touched for theme but, without not use or I did not find ears listening or conscious hearts or hearts contains in such of that. So then what do I am do

Does listening helps enhance writting skill?
Yes, listening helps your writing by exposing you to the language as it's naturally used. You pick up new words, understand how sentences flow, and reinforce grammar rules. All this helps you write more naturally and accurately.
What about if I listen to a mixed topic like podcast music and other something else 🤔 I think that's much better while listening to one topic
sum up and give your position .How to the reaching which have level in articles and publication and understanding.... Firm me in that. guide me and inspire me..... Definition terms starting from your position. Oh my profesor
I held every strategies which you have put on.
It 's good because it 's not fast.

What is your advice? Should we listen and concentrate while reading the closed captions (CC), or can we listen to the podcast while doing other tasks?

Yeah, but natural English conversation, not like this which sounds unnaturally slowly and clearly.
