A couple Avey songs are about this moment supposedly
"Red negativity in the streets...." was specifically written by Avey after they left this cupcake shop and then immediately slam dunked the remaining cupcakes on Josh's head in retaliation to Deakin's bad cupcake etiquette, thus inspiring the creation of Strawberry Jam; Avey's second favorite flavor not yet tampered by the Deakmeister himself.

Im kinda new into Animal Collective. And i was wondering, what is it with most of the fans and Deakin? :( i think he is a cool dude! and overall a intelligent avant garde musician.

Not in this interview. Avey writes most of the songs, and sings more than Panda anyways, so as much as I love PB, I'd rather listen to an Avey interview.

I was in my 20's, but I remember watching this interview when it first aired. I had no idea at the time how much this band would mean to me in the future.
jeez again with this? like I said to the other guy I don't have a problem with avey or how he speaks at all, I think he gives interesting answers and I enjoy listening to him talk in interviews. I didn't mean anything negative by my comment, I was just making an observation. I don't know why people would give "stoned" or "out of it" a negative connotation anyway.
