A tribute to Ally McCoist Rangers greatest goalscorer plus my hero & favourite player growing up..
n 1983 Rangers manager John Greig signed McCoist for £185,000. During his fifteen years with Rangers, McCoist achieved an array of honours, including ten league championship medals. This began with a title in the 1986--87 season and included the whole "Nine in a Row" period between 1989 and 1997. McCoist also won a Scottish Cup winners' medal and nine Scottish League Cup winners' medals. He was the first player to be Europe's top goalscorer twice in a row (in 1992 and 1993), as well as being named Scotland's "Player of the Year" in 1992. McCoist is Rangers' all-time leading goalscorer (with 251 league goals; 355 in all competitions).

The likes will never be seen again! The word legend gets tossed about these days,but Ally truly deserves his standing at the worlds most successful football club. If players these days were half as committed as Super Ally was to The Famous then football would be in a better place.
