How to make Apricot and Almond Nougat

  • Sweet, chewy, nutty and crunchy, it doesn't get much better than this as far as sweets are concerned. This French-style nougat is the very definition of a treat and couldn't be easier to make! Very few ingredients required, and very little effort - the one "care" point is that you should be careful not to under, or over, boil the sugar. Too little or too much heat and you could very well end up with a puddle of sugar, or worse - a rock hard, inedible sticky block. For this, sugar thermometers are a must!

    That looks ridiculously good. I live in Hong Kong and Macau is famous for their nougat which I get ever trip. Thanks for the recipe.

    I recommend it - they're not very much... you can pick them up for about €10 / $15 on Amazon! :)

    No idea. It's likely a vestige of their Portuguese days so it's probably close or the same.
