Checking into my favorite soap opera, I honestly wait on these Flint City Council meetings they are so funny, the drama is real. I feel sad for Mr. Murphy he is a puppet on a string for Lewis, he always make sure he address her as my friend Dr. Ladell lol and he don't dare vote against her . When lewis and Eva are not present the meetings go so well, it is obvious they like to keep the confusion going. Candace is scared to take a stand therefore she tucks her head down and peeks up from time to time.
A few things: 1. Sheldon’s puppets Lewis and Worthing were instructed to disrupt this meeting and they did just that. It’s evident that the mayor wants his hands on the ARPA funds so it can be handed out like Christmas presents to all his family and friends through these various “charities” and “NGO’s” they’ve set up. The worst part about it is that the money won’t even reach the people, since the boards of all these entities will siphon off all the money. Flint residents should be given the money directly. Period. 2. I don’t understand what Worthing says when she says “I want to get down to the business of the city”. What business has she ever conducted? There’s hundreds of hours of council meetings on this channel alone…go through them all and see how many times Worthing has ever asked a question or discussed a city issue. Her entire purpose of being there is to disrupt the meetings and attack Mays. The only thing you’ve ever gotten down on is Whopper Wednesday at Burger King. 3. Lewis was so convinced that the national media would pick up her sob story that she went out and bought a mop and put it on her head, expecting to be on prime time CNN and BET. You ain’t that important and come this spring you’ll be back in Maryland where you belong anyway. If you didn’t shed a tear during your wack press conference you JANKY….JANKY….PLAYA YOU JANKY. 4. I think Quincy Murphy’s brain be playing tricks on him. He’ll literally say one thing during this umm umm monologues…and then turn around vote completely the opposite way. I swear RL makes more sense than Quincy, at least RL is consistent in his incoherent rants. 5. What is Candace Mushat even do?

The council should consider rewriting the parliamentary rules so that Mays cannot delay the legislate process via "point or order" declarations. Other legislative bodies don't really operate this way. The other councilmembers can get together with the city attorney, draft administrative changes and vote as a body to limit interruptions. As long as a majority agrees you can create rules that stop Mays from doing what he does.
Good info...the question is why hasn't the council start that process,; I personally think that most of them are not savvy. NEXT QUESTION: Can the Mayor dismantle the entire council?
Mr. Mays constantly talks about time restrictions. How long would he, burns, and god forbid Murphy talk, if it wasn't one. Even with the times restrictions, they can't seem to get anything accomplished. What would they get done in a special working session, with no time restrictions?🤔
How can you ask questions about any resolution in 5 minutes when the people who need to answer the questions are way in the back of the room. I agree with Mr Mays that there should be more time to get information.
