The thing I love about this piece, is how with every repeat of the main motif it turns from starting as a playful tone to sounding like a desperate theme about survival from a coming destruction ....
Like exactly the two sides of the nature of the Gremlins. Which tells you how much of genius Goldsmith was of course.

Brady Slimepoop That part is actually 2 separate patches. I can't recall what they were called, but I believe I used 2 sounds from the Rapture synth, which is a VST synth used with Cakewalk Sonar products.

@@KBizzy I was obsessed by this movie as a kid and carried around a Gizmo doll in a small back pack. Older kids in the neighborhood found out and surrounded me, forcing me to show the doll while laughing at me🤣

To a kid, Gremlins seemed very serious and even philosophical as I realized the gremlins just happened to be born wicked and couldn't help it. All the irony, sarcasm and parody was totally lost on me.
As an adult, while bringing back childhood memories, the movie is quite hilarious. The mom's killer look in the kitchen is awesome acting. She was also Marty's grandmother in "Back to the future" and both films used the same set (fake town).

Mr. Futterman seems alienated, complaining about foreign products in a changing world of globalization. Even the "Zenith" TV he wanted was eventually taken over by Korean LG.
He got so fed up getting his ass kicked by the gremlins, he set up a gun store but he wasn't much better of there😅

Oh man it’s been so long I can’t totally remember. I know I used a combination of sounds from the Nord and Alesis Ion but a bunch of virtual synths as well
