Suburbia makes it hard to play soccer due to travel constraints + improving in a club costs a shit ton of money unless you're poor & qualify for financial aid. In other countries, if you're good enough you get institutional support. You get paid + sometimes housing + food. They have walkable cities + public transit, and clubs are very affordable.
