I don't understand why people outside Ukraine thinks they should give up their young countries freedom from Russia. Would any of us want that to happen in our countries regardless of the age of our sovereignty, I really think not. I am astounded at the people against Ukraine's decision to defend their freedom. I personally think he is a great leader and has shown he is so much more than just a comedian.

Being a comedian shows how he can be charismatic. It's just a matter of willing to do the things requested by others and play along. He's playing his part and doing everything he needs to do for optics. It's all layed out in the documentary "Zoolander". They go over how you get good looking people to do the bidding of the powerful.

Truly Ukraine did the smartest thing they'd ever done in electing Zelenskyy. He has been exactly what they need. Honest, non-corrupt, and willing to fight for the people and find ways to get them what they need. He is their Champion to be sure. Prior to Zelenskyy, Putin had his puppet in there and he wants that again rather than someone who honors Ukraine's sovereignty and separation from Russia...which Ukrainians elected him to honor. So yeah, smartest thing they could have done. It's because he is not corrupt that Putin tried to take the country back into corrupt rule. He won't succeed and Ukraine will remain free and democratic as the people want it to be, Once he gets in NATO, it'll be over as Putin won't be able to continue the war without severe consequence and Ukraine will be safe.

I get that allowing them in NATO is a risky endeavor as it puts NATO on the hook to get involved in a more meaningful way, potentially even starting WW3, but change is at times hard won and Putin must be stopped for the security of the world really, so it's just a matter of doing it now or after millions more die in his war. One way or another, he'll have to be stopped, so it's prudent to just make that happen as Ukraine deserves to be free and whole and the whole point of NATO is to ensure those countries who fought to obtain that can keep that.

Inappropriate & misleading title. Zelenskyy first obtained a degree in law from the univiersity in Kyiv before pursuing comedy.
True, but he graduated more than 20 years ago and never went into the profession. So, I wouldn't really define him by that law degree. But he founded his own media production company and was also a top manager and producer there besides acting and comedy. IMO, a label like "production executive" or "studio boss" or CCO or something similar might be a better fit than "has a law degree".
