Tenia una grand cherokee 1997 4x4. Modificada con trasmisión automática de 5 velocidades, turbina reforzada, caja de válvulas , y computadora programada, me daba a una velocidad 95km/h 1100 RPM, a 120km/h a 1600RPM . Así consecutivamente. Recuerdo que no paaaba de 3000 RPM en arranques suaves y en arrancones lo más que pasaba era 4000 RPM con la marcha del sobrepaso, su autonomía era buena ya que viajaba cerca de 980 Km con un consumo de 38 a 41 litros . En estos tiempos motores son de más RPM para poder tener un buen desempeño causando mayor desgastes de piezas internas del motor. Valla que si extraño esos motores 😞 de aquellos tiempos

I don't see the heat gage moving at all.
Why at the 80/100/120 km/h are almost the same RPM? It's not using higher gears and lower RPM?
In fact i have no idea of how exactly the car works but i know that the jeep wont shift up to under 1500 rpm at that speed, maybe to keep him sporty enough, although you could maybe shift manually but i dont think that its more efficient. The car is actually good for offroad driving, in comparison to other suvs.
@@jda8744 it never chooses 9th geari in "D" mode. You should put it in manually.

Don’t buy the 1.4 petrol version. The engine is just too small for such a heavy car and it really struggles. The automatic gearbox is terrible too and is very slow to change up the gears and as a result the engine is constantly over-revving and only achieves 28mpg.
That's what I was thinking of getting as I don't like diesel engines, I was after all wheel drive model. Darn it!! Shame they don't do it in the 1.6 or 2 litre, hopefully their looking into that, and it will be available in the UK soon.
I ve got the 1.4lt with the 9 speed automatic and the engine is just fine (compared with competition) as for the gear changes are really smooth.
First thé motor is not 1.4 but 2.4
Some countries has different motor type, we in europe/germany have 1.4 MultiAir engine, check it on wikipedia or google it

Der kleine Kackmotor nagelt wie ein Diesel! Keine Voll-LED Scheinwerfer, kaum Ablagen im Innenraum, das beats Soundsystem ist zu basslastig, FIAT-Gene, was soll ich noch sagen? Vollgepackt kommt er über 40.000€, da bieten alle Konkurrenten mehr fürs Geld, schick sieht er ja aus. Bei Jeep ist's wie mit Apple - keine Käufer, nur Fans...
