  • Today my daughter and I decided we are going to build a Bushcraft site on the property. To do so we will need to make a few tools to help us along the way. First on the list is a mallet. I got a settlers wrench recently and figured I'd share it with ya to kick off our project in the woods. This is a great tool for making things and I look forward to sharing more that can be done with this. I figured a mallet was a great project to start this off with my BBG. She is looking forward to building our bushcraft site. As always thanks for watching and be sure to subscribe and hit the notification bell.

Proud Papa moment. Good job Dad. We all need to keep teaching our kids the ways of the land. Enough of the iPads and into the woods!

It great she wants to learn and you are there to teach her. If you split your peg in and carve you a wedge to go in it, when you drive it in to log it will drive wedge in and expand peg end for a tight fit

It'd be a better lesson (and safer for himself) if he'd practice some better knife discipline

Texan By Brith Rebel By Choice Hello there fellow native Texan!!! I'm a native Houstonian but have probably been just about all over this great state we call home!!! And you may want to spell birth with ir rather than ri sweetheart!!! And it most certainly is a good idea to show them early in life weather boy 👦 or girl 👧 !!!

You're a good man teaching you girl how to be self reliant. Love your desire to teach her the ways of the woods. That knife is really sharp. It was cutting that hard oak with no problem. The quickest why to ruin a fun time is to cut yourself. Ask me how I know? I have a 3 inch scare to prove it. Got me seven stitches too. Work on the knife skills a little more. Mors Kochanzski and Dave Canterberry both have great videos and books on safe knife technics. Plus you can learn with her and get some more good time together. Keep doing what you're doing. You have a great desire to teach and learn that shows in the videos.

Very good video! btw hammers do this weird thing where you hold it like you were, but off of the ground and hit the bottom, the mallet head will set nicely. The ground doesnt absorb all that force

Do you think it's very smart to leave the knife on the floor when the child is kneeling there and working - 11:40 ? I'm not quite sure you're up to the responsibility.

I don't know if you know this or not, but I've been seeing you guys on social media a lot lately. A lot of those Chinese companies who have ripped off that design are using your images and short clips of this video to advertise this product period from the design I see on your settlers wrench it looks like you bought it from Sean in the wild probably for about 80 bucks. These Chinese companies have stolen the design and are selling them for $39 each and they're using his videos and your videos to advertise with. I don't know if you have grounds for a lawsuit or compensation I'm not really sure about how UA-cam works I just know I would be pretty pissed off if someone was using pictures of my daughter as an advertisement ploy on social media. You can recognize her shirt and your hands big as life. You guys should get something out of the deal.
