Would it surprise you to know that I've got all those tools from the drawshave to the crooked knife? Had an uncle who never bought an axe handle or any other handle in his life, as long as the natural materials were there for the taking. He could carry a surveyor's chain as straight as a bee too. I've found every one of those old tools useful. When I watch your channel it takes me back over 40 happy years ago. By the way, next time you try to work out a dough board or a hog trough use elm. It rots fast, twists like the devil, but it won't split out.

I watched this to see about the "Settlers Wrench".
Not only no place to buy but the review I saw said the tenon cutter is too small for the hole.
I have a brace & bits for holes but that splitting tool (handleless froe?) is real interresting.
I've had to use an axe, a knife or hatchet for splitting so that looked good.
Guess I'll just try to find a 'real' froe.
