Thank you for explaining in the beginning of the video that I don’t need to switch all desktop audio to Realtek and can leave it as my headset. Details like that are what a lot of people leave out

Hey not sure if you are gonna see this but when I select the voice chat output device to real rek i cant hear it through my headphones, only the obs picks up the voice chat.
Hey man, this was an awesome fix, THANK YOU!! 🙏🏼 However, I do have one “issue”… In my recordings, it seems to be “ducking” the rest of the game audio, my mic audio, and anything else - whenever someone is talking in game chat. You can hear them loud and clear, which is awesome, but it seems to make everything else quieter (“ducking”) when it’s active. I haven’t set any compression filters, or activated any ducking option anywhere, and I even checked windows 11 settings as there is a sort of “built in ducking option” there. But it’s definitely not active so I’m all of out of ideas. Just wondering if you might’ve experienced this, or know of anything I could do/check. Thanks again for this video 🤌🏼
Hoping to try this out! I usually use Discord when I game, but recently I've joined a new group of people that use in game chat. I discovered yesterday that my stream didn't pick up the in game chat and was wondering how the heck to make it work whilst also keeping separate audio tracks! Will test this out later, but it seem's like a pretty solid work around!
@@mrupsman210games I didn't have the Realtek option, but one of my monitors was listed as an option (which I know doesn't have speakers) so I just chose that and followed the same steps, and all sorted!
Good morning. Thank you for the informative video. I just recently went over to PC from the PlayStation 5. Does your method give me the proximity chat? I currently have the squad that I play with routed to my discord and we hear chat that way but I want to be able to hear the proximity chat. My setup is astro a50s as my default device that I listen to on the PC and my microphone is the Nvidia yeti mic. Thanks again!
All these input output capture Words are confusing. I want Peuple to hear me, my game sounds and the voice chat. So do I add an input capture or output recordinG?….
You need an input capture and an output capture… then select the correct source in the properties for each one… input being your mic and output being whatever you have your game sound going to
@@mrupsman210games Input/output source in my case is the same because my headset is also my microphone :) I needed to set the proper device in the advanced audio settings correctly. I might also need to update OBS since the Audio Capture Window is still in BETA mode which has been released officially a few months ago. Thanks for the reply, i'll make sure to set it up correctly and test it later today.
