Thank you for the video. It's a great camera, but the built-in in-camera noise suppressor works very aggressively. Converting a picture when zooming into a watercolor. This can be clearly seen in the video. The foliage of distant trees looks like a green porridge. Too small sensor, too much zoom and little light at the far end. I have been using this camera for a long time and this drawback cannot be overcome with any settings ...

I like to photograph birds, especially waterfowl, and I have two cameras, a very cheap panasonic TZ70, which has the sensor purposely made with few pixels, 12 mpixels, so that the photodiodes are larger, thinking of using it for video , and in good light it takes some professional quality videos, very good stability and a great zoom. I think it is no longer manufactured. I also have a Panasonic FZ2000, and this camera is "very very good" for this type of photography, something big but infinitely more comfortable and economical than a powerful telephoto lens, and it has enormous stability, very good image quality, it has a sensor of 1" and a "brutal " zoom, unfortunately, it has also stopped being manufactured, when I bought it the Panasonic sold them for about € 800 and they gave you a battery and a case

@@TheMariepi3 In Panasonic FZ2000, the matrix is 2 times larger, which allows you to get 4 times digital zoom with good quality.
Compared to Sony, it will be 1920mm EGF or 80X zoom

I was just wondering if the newer production of these still end up with the E62:10 Lens Error, I have the HX300V I got in 2013 and it as been sent off 5 or 6 times now to fix the lens issue, I had a Mack Extended warranty so that saved me but just got the E62:10 again on 1/1/21. The 300 and 400s both use the same lens....... I wanted to get the HX400V to replace my 300 but from post I've seen it will possibly end up with the same issue..........

I love the HX300V, mainly for getting moon shots, easy and fast to use, I've looked over many other options such Canon, Nikon and others in the same price range but none really had the same options I liked in the Sony, tilt screen, panoramic, live view to see the changes made.......... I also have DSLR's but nothing that can get me into that zoom range for moon shots......... Adorama looked like they had sold out of the HX400V so seems to be a great seller, just wish I knew what % have failed, so far with me every repair has failed.. so not great odd's... (On a side note I broke down and tried that Minolta MN67Z, against my better instinct and almost no reviews on it , moon shots were blurry compared to my Sony, it went back)
@@RichGalbraith I can confirm both HX400 and HX300 suffer to the same extent, of the E:62:10 problem. Basically both fail after a few thousand extensions of the lens, which corresponds for most people to the duration of the warranty. See the dedicated website for statistics and list of models. Up till now it seems the HX350 is relatively less concerned by the error, but still I have seen a few and as it is a new model it may be too early to have a precise idea whether the problem was fixed in this model or not.
@@SonyE6210 I guess if it uses the same lens setup it will be the same issue perhaps, I recently bought a Sony H300 at the pawn shop, different lens, also a Fuji S8200 and a Canon SX530HS all several weeks apart hoping to find another carry around camera with a decent zoom.... bought a 6 month warranty for each if they fail or want to trade up. None really compare to HX300V when it works.....I can still get some decent moon shots with a tripod ..... I was just looking up the Sony HX350 and says unavailable

Okay! The Panasonic has 24x zoom. And the sony 50x. So you can zoom further. Maybe its a tip for you..

Extremely good camera for the money but if it happens to buy it on the second hand market, you are going to waste your money because of the E:62:10 error. It is such a huge design flaw that Sony is trying to hide while doing absolutely nothing to fix it.
Thank you for the review of the camera. This has been a very pleasant camera to use for a while but unfortunately I must confirm the problem E:62:10 happening on 80% to 90% of the HX models shortly after expiration of the warranty. E:62:10 indicates failure of the stabilization connector and then all pictures become blurry and even focusing on a subject is difficult as the camera continuously shakes. There is a procedure to work around the problem but it is only temporary. If you search for E:62:10 on the web or on UA-cam you will see that thousands of users do complain. You can find more information on the (non-commercial) website sony-e-62-10.atspace.cc that has been made to warn the isolated consumers.

This camera is a great non expensive camera with a great zoom lens. Unfortunaltety this i started getting an E62-10 error message every time I boot it up. Also I realized that the zoom at higher distances do not work any more as it used to . SONY has no fix. A was suggested by SONY to send the carema to a sub contracted work shop to fix it at about half the cost of the camera but the sub contractor gives no warranty of the repair. Has any body has the same problem and got it fixed?
This is the only camera I regret buying.
As you said, you can have it repaired but here in the Netherlands it cost more than a new camera.
So I threw it in the trash.

Deze camera heeft nog al wat constructie fouten.
In mijn 30 jaar fotograferen heb ik nog nooit zo'n slechte camera gekocht,en ik heb er wat gehad.....
Ik ben er zuinig op mijn spullen.
Als het ergens heel vuil of zanderig is komen mijn camera's niet uit de tas.
Toch heb ik op de Sony stof op mijn sensor gekregen.
Reaktie van Sony, geen garantie meer? Gooi maar weg en koop een nieuwe.
En dan het beeldstabilisatie probleem.
Nee voor mij geen sony meer.
O dat is balen indd! Nou hoop dat je nu wel een fijne camera hebt!😉
