Mega Absol is one I grew to really like. The design is great, but it really leans into the glass cannon archetype, and that’s good and bad. It hits really hard, but unless you don’t KO what’s in front of you, odds are you’re getting one shot yourself. So yeah, Absol’s great, but it’s hard to use at times
@MaahirMomtaz12 115 base Speed is kind of hard to sell for a glass cannon, though. Especially when the mon can't hold an item. 140 Attack and 125 Speed would have actually been a much better spread for it, imo, if not just taking from its Sp. Atk.
Oh Ruby... How I miss thee. I feel like I told this story several hundred times. So I'll make it short. Was wandering the route you find Absol in Alpha Sapphire and was about to leave, then the Dexnav encounter shown an Absol just near the exit. I contemplated if it would be worth the effort. And she was shiny. I took her to be judged and she was okay. The next Pokemon I encounter while surfing in the water was a shiny Tentacool. She's my lucky charm and got me into shiny hunting. Now here I am with almost 500 shinies across 14 games. And to boot, she was amazing in battle too. I still have her but haven't played my 3ds in forever, especially since the 3ds servers died. Maybe I should play again.
Yeah the added fairy type would have helped it out a lot. But I think what it really missed was more physical coverage moves. The special side is stacked, yeah, but the physical side is kinda lacking, only real options being Play Rough, Superpower and maybe Stone Edge/Megahorn.
I just love that music u use af the start to compare them stat changes, it's pretty good,mega absol pretty good tho it lacks def to keep up, just as in ur showcase and fairy type for stab play rough goes hard
My favourite ball of fluff was devastating in the battle tree singles with toxapex and gliscor. Those tree immunities cover each other weaknesses. I had at least a box of 5 max IV specimens with suckerpunch and play rough. When Gen 8 came and he wasn't in the pokédex, I immediately decided that I wasn't going to buy the N Switch and the game.
@@zossieurs i always thought vikavolt was relatively slow cause of how bulky it looked, with its disproportionate railgun pincers that looked like it was too heavy for its body cause of how its tilted, it doesn't look like it can fly very fast. The only thing that would suggest otherwise imo is the pokedex entry
Yeah they should have because it would help it a ton defensively and offensively getting rid of it’s fighting and u-turn weakness along with an immunity to dragon and being able to hit more for super effective. And it also does look like a Dark/Fairy
Mega absole is great but it's base form is what is holding it back and it's mega is outclassed by other megas. It is a great physical attacker or mix attacker but there are other options available that does all three of it's role better.
Absol horn works as a scythe? I wonder this because pokedex entries don't mention this but if you see the anime mainly cutting attacks are done with the horn like Razor Wind + he learns a lot of attacks that would be boosted by Sharpness like Night Slash, Psycho Cut, Slash, X Scissor, etc. Also when it Mega Evolves it changes to a halbert form.
I didn't mind that Mega Absol stayed pure dark. Although I'm probably a bit biased with it as my favourite mega, Absol is my all time favourite in general. That said, I enjoyed the stats it got, loved the more angelic appearance, and magic bounce was a pretty fun ability.

@@InsertFunnyThingHere lol, the fact that all pre existed dark type move were changed into physical after physical/special split happened in gen 4 says a lot about how GF didn't really think through when making dark special in gen 2 and 3
@@kyouhei7731 to be fair gamefreak didn't think it through with 99% of this franchise but yeah it's really funny Also worth noting that every single dark type pokemon was a physical attacker or mixed (or just a support pokemon that still had about equal offensive stats) , with the singular exception of houndoom who still had a relatively respectable 90 attack which isn't even that much higher than it's 110 special attack

Fairy Aura on Mega Absol and Dark Aura on Mega Houndoom would have slapped, but gotta keep them as signature Abilities, I guess.
