There's and adventure time episode I belive that anyone complaining about fall out boys musical direction should see. In the episode jake the dog recives an abstract painting ,a painting done by his artist brother who until recently only painted landscapes. Jake fearing someone has kidnapped his brother ,and was forcing him to paint abstract art , upon locating and questioning his brother about his style changes and fears about how it might mean his brother is changing , jakes brother calmly take jake by the hand and explains how he has painted so many landscapes that the shapes sorta just lost their meanings, and broke apart so thats how he paints them now, he informs his brother jake that his new paintings don't earse or devalue his old paintings and they are both parts of him. Jake the Dog,
realizing that change isnt something to despise or fear and people are going to go through diffrent styles and changes in life, he stares into his reflection and says "hmm diffrent yet the same"
that's beautiful
Daamn
Do understand why a lot of fans don't like them anymore, they definitely don't have the same sound, however, personally I love their old their mid and their current, music changes, it happens, if you don't like it don't listen. They're allowed to evolve and I love moving with them, Patrick's voice will forever be my favourite no matter what he sings and this isn't directed to anyone here but the overall noise about FOB 'changing' as if change is bad... love them always.
this is my favorite album tbh. And on the flip side, thx for the memories is the worst.
Ashley Cummings preach honey
hotteenager2001 ok you get your own opinion but it’s still wrong
@@ego3968 ur face is wrong
@@ego3968 opinions can't be wrong dumb shit
Am I the only one who thinks Burna Boy's part fits into this song just fine? This song sounds really really good
Honestly, it does
I used to have negative opinions about this, tbh. But honestly, I like it now
i don’t get how people hate this album. sure it doesn’t sound like from under the cork tree or something but it’s still really good!! it still has that fall out boy feeling, lyrically. this is one of my favorite albums actually
To prevent reading the sign in reverse Patrick should wear his glasses.
Ha
That's a good idea
Rubbaduck King agreed hahaha
You know... two years later, and I'm realizing that this song has the same vibes as Saturnz Barz by Gorillaz.
No wonder I love it so much.
THIS
yes!!!!!!
Honestly thats why i really like this song, i was actively listening to both of them at the time and this song really hit
Idc if their sound changed... they're still so much better than modern artists these days
They will always be awesome
...this is literally just like “modern artists” these days, wtf are you talking about
@@leonsalgeuro compared to what, taylor swift? travis scott? FOB is definitely different.
This is still better than new music. But american beutey/ physco is the best album
Yes
even if u dislike their music style change, the lyrics will always be exceptional. for me, this song is like they put all of my thoughts into a song and it isn't just a regular love song.
"you came back like a wave when i was feeling alright"? CRYING RN
this song makes the whole album worth it.
ikr. The collab I never knew I needed.
So smooth with the way Burna entered the song… Odugwu na King Kong 🦍
My dad showed me this song when I was 11 2 years later still here
Your dad has good music taste, absolute goated song and aulbum
people who dislike this album now probably hated folie a deux back when that released but pretend they never hated it now. give this another 5 years and this will be considered such a good experimental album.
One of my favorites of the album. I'm a long time fan. Fight me
Do people really don't like FOB for changing their sound? People start to get bored of bands that sound the same for years. And now, masterpiece after masterpiece is being made yet people still hate them? You just can't please anyone with anything :( I've always loved FOB and now I'm listening to Mania and Folie, oh DAMN my vocal cords are getting ripped every single song. Love all their songs. Really a masterpiece of an album!
You're speaking the truth.
@@saltycoon no he's not. Plenty of great bands never change and successful. Fall out boy just isn't that special
@@trumpwon8064 and what are you doing here mr trumpet?
This is definitely my favorite summer song!!!
Best song on mania
Yes 😎🙌
These words are stuck in my head cause I'm stuck in the sunshine riptide
this bass line is fucking hot
Love this song!😘
Goova 7493 same 😎👊
the “i don’t even have my own-“ sounds like brendon urie !! had to do a double take 😂
It does!
Maybe it is 🤔🤫😉
brendon isn't in this one. you mean patrick stump had to do a double take.
@@asherdunton9999 They mean that they had to do a double take because that line sounded a lot like Brendon Urie and it confused them
Best song from the album for sure
I love Burnaboy
Holy shit this song is so good
INCREDIBLE SONG!!! 🔥
I LOVE THEM!
It's 2022 and this is still one of my favorite albums ever. Sure, it's different but they're keeping up with the times like other bands.
oh I love this album
It's just like oxygen and it's going to my head
One of the best on the album
Why are people shitting all over this album? It's different, yes, but awesome nonetheless.
I swear this is like folie a deux all over again
There's a difference between these 2 albums though. Folie was still rock and pop punk, and it had great lyrics, while this album is drowned in electropop and random and mediocre lyrics. That's just my opinion though.
@@RJIS 1. it doesn't matter what genre it is, what matters is that it isn't what they usually do. Just like you don't like the genre of this album, there are others who may not like Folie's genre. The label doesn't matter, it's just a word.
2. Even if you think this is the most horrible music ever created, you'd have to be a pretty horrible human being to go on their youtube page, or any other thing related to them, and just shit all over it. People tend to forget that they are human beings with emotions, not some song- making machines. They put their heart and soul into these stuff, and then people just go and tell them it sucks... even if you don't like it, be respectful (not directed at you, general statement).
3. Obviously, I can't force you to like this album, and it won't be realistic to expect everyone to love it. My comment was aimed at people who blindly judge and decide to hate it just because it's different than what they expected, without giving it a real chance. Because I'm sure that a lot of people in this comment section already decided that they would hate the album before it came out, and had they actually listened with an open mind they might have found some songs they like.
@@Ariel_thenotsolittlemermaid #2 is why we will likely never get another solo Patrick album and the world is a worse place for it. That album was amazing but people shit on it because it wasn't fob which is what people wanted.
Folie was unliked because it was very experimental. Those who ended up loving it really loved it for how unique and weird it was. Mania is unliked for the opposite reason. It feels like an album that tried copying everything else in the pop rock but really pop genre that peaked in the wake of Imagine Dragons. I disliked most of Folie when I first heard it but it felt like something that you just needed to be in the genre mood and headspace for. When my music tastes expanded heavily, I eventually came back to Folie and finally understood most of it. With Mania, I've come back to it every year and still feel the same way.
This song has helped me through some really shitty fucking times, I will never understand how people can hate on it
“Feel like I’m bird poop bird poop”
I still love fob, it's my second time listening to this album in full and so far I'm loving it, I dont know how I feel about this song tho. Idk it just sounds like another song off the radio. Idk tho dont fite me just expressing my opinion
Ashy Trashy I love your opinion
There’s little emotion and/or story behind it. I don’t know what they’re trying to say in this song. I hear the lyrics, I’m processing the words, but it’s all numb. Maybe that’s the message?
Pills kicking in, came back like a wave (of depression) when I was feeling alright, jump cut to feeling bulletproof and drinking Hennessy… reading the sign in reverse as everything is backwards?
It’s a stretch tho
Love this song
Yepp!!!
Where are all the haters on a song that has like 2% dislikes
I’ll love them till I don’t
Cause I'm stuck in the Sunshine Riptide
I fucking love this song ❤️
Maybe I'm tone deaf but this really doesn't sound all that different from their older stuff, especially to songs like the ones on Infinity on High. Heaven's Gate sounds like Thriller and What a Catch. Young and Menace sounds the most different, but even that one kinda sounds like Phoenix to me.
It's perfectly fine to like the old style more than the new, but it's not ok to shame people for liking the new style, saying real fans like the old stuff more. Real fans actually would've been able to see that FOB was going in this direction in the first place and shouldn't be so shocked at how "mainstream" pop it is. I'm tired of being music shamed
I love this song idc what anyone says didn’t ask plus u have lice
Oi luba
Wait why the fuck didn't I hear this song before I could've sworn it wasn't on the album
Those 16 dislikes will pay dearly😈😠
What do I owe?

@@FabulousKilljoyyou know what I mean smartass😈😈😈
What happend to the music video?
There was a music video?
this is honestly one of my favorite fob songs, i just wish burna boy wasn't in it. his part feels like it doesnt fit in at all
EDIT: WHY DID I WRITE THIS LMAO BURNA BOYS PART IS MT FAVORITE PART NOW WHAISTIAHA WTF WAS I DOING-
I personally like his part, but you can have any opinion you want :)
the character development of this comment, we love to see it ^_^
I laughed when i saw brad taste's review on this song on AOTY, It made me laughed at burna boy's feature
slowed version ! ua-cam.com/video/uW5d58EhkR4/v-deo.html
lol i was the 666 like
wtf why is there reggae lmao
Because you like boxes.
pete wentz is jamaican and this song is a dedication to that heritage
This might actually be a good song without the wierd reggae shit that doesn't fit in. The chorus sounds cool tho (besides the trap drums) and "the pills are kicking in" does too, but otherwise ugh
I miss when fob was a rock band. At least there's some hope since they re-released Lake Effect Kid
A huge reason for fob's departure from their rock sound is so that they can give some undercover artists, especially black ones, some light. They made a song with burna boy for that reason. They've always given light to undercover artists but with mania they're shining some special light on r&b and other black dominated forms of music and I personally appreciate that a lot. I get where you're coming from, though
@@rakamukherjee9070 nice idea, but very incorrect
Actually liked the reggae part
Max Jablow I really love the chorus and the beginning, I just hate the second stanza. It's extremely hard to understand and the words are super muddled.
Found the worst song on the album!
If you hate this album so much why are you listening to it and spreading your wrong opinion
Lily Souther Yeah, because one of my favorite bands made a sucky album, I shouldn’t say anything about it. Makes sense.
Taylor Obrien I’m listening to it to educate myself. Don’t wanna say it’s bad just because everyone else in the music community is saying it. I’m actually going off my own experience. This is just as horrible as I remember it

Here are two Fall Out Boy fans’ reviews of this album, one of which has an FOB username (Infinity On Hannah). I’m not just blindly spreading “hate” just because I feel like it.
OP lives up to his name
