I have everything but a june plum. Im thinking about getting one to add to the collection. How do you rate the taste and is yours the dwarf variety or regular size?
I'm afraid my taste score may be a bit biased because I grew up on these fruits but it would be a 9/10 for me just based on its unique quality in flavor. I love it. The dwarf variety (both tree and fruit) is quite small compared to the original june plum but the flavors are the same. I have the dwarf variety 👍
Awesome...I too have one tree...can you tell how to propagate them. I want to share them with others..your plant is from seed right?...when can we take the seeds to propagate them?
I'm not sure...I wouldn't think the roots are invasive considering its a small tree..the tree has soft wood so I would assume the roots are soft too...hope this helps 🤙 My advice is if you want it to grow healthy, maybe plant it atleast 6ft-10ft away from the house 👍
I don’t think there are too many plants that can take heat like that. That is hot! If you’d plant it though, maybe plant it on the shadiest side of your home. That will be the best chance you’ve got 🤙
Probably not. This is a tropical plant and I think frost will most definitely kill it. You can always plant it in a pot and move it indoors because its not too big or you can build a small greenhouse around it to try and keep it warmer outside. 👍
Sooooo many fruits on such a small tree! Awesome!
I know! Its awesome!
yellow brown n green
I like them green . They are crunchy. But I like peeling the skin
Me too! 🤙
We at Bangladesh use to call it AMRA (আমড়া), it taste like sour and sweet or both, depends on variety. We don’t eat its skin. 😊
@@naimchowdhury7913 Thank you for sharing the info 🤙

I would taste like a green mango. Not too sour though

Take them and plant them when they ripen and fall off the tree. I have videos showing every step I took to get here 👍

Will june plum survive in 20f in winter time?
Probably not. This is a tropical plant and I think frost will most definitely kill it. You can always plant it in a pot and move it indoors because its not too big or you can build a small greenhouse around it to try and keep it warmer outside. 👍

Reportedly, the fruit can weigh up to a pound.
Thats a big june plum! I hope I can atleast a .5 pounder someday!
You're not supposed to eat the skin, peel the skin and it's very sweet.
I love the skin! 😁
Why should we not eat the skin? 😅 I grew up in the island eating the skin, and I am in my 40s now alive and well. Lmao!
Skin is the best part for me. Growing up eating it and now I'm 52, still alive and kicking. 😂
Where do you live?
