Oh Resonance of Fate. I could never really get into the combat which was a shame because I really enjoyed their world building and having to collect hexagonal shapes to advance.
I've been meaning to dive into the Legend of Heroes series, so seeing those on the list is cool. The Guided Fate Paradox was a game I really liked, but maybe it's more of a hidden gem on the system.
I liked the experimental phase of jrpgs in this era. Other ones I liked were infinite unidiscovery and Blue Dragon. Tons of people love lost odyssey but I never played it. I love the premise of eternal sonata though, wish there were more historical fiction RPGs or action RPGs.
@@TheGamingShelf I know right? I didn't have a ps3 so a lot of those you mentioned I bought on 360 or skipped until there was a PC release. Although I need to finish Valkyria Chronicles, I wonder if 2 and 3 will see re-releases?
This was such a great list! There are still a couple of those I want to play in HD, such as Ni No Kuni and the remake of Nier. I remember wanting to play them back in the day, but I never had the chance to do so.
FF XIII is pretty hated, but I do agree everyone should get their own opinion on the game or even the trilogy. I actually like XIII for what unique stuff it brings to the series. Its a neat sci-fi world, there is some interesting character development ( whether good or bad lol), and music is top-notch ( listen to Born Anew and Snow's Theme). The combat gets hate; which is deserved for the first 8 hours, but afterwards gets challenging and requires some fast inputs to succeed. So I find it to be satisfying when you're able to beat some of the difficult end-game bosses. Nice video !
There's also a good amount of jrpgs on handhelds that haven't seen any re-makes or slim re-releases (Golden Sun comes to mind), but i also played more handheld games growing up than console games.
@@ericp631 I did have some consoles but they were all nintendo and I got them late into their lifespan. I didn't get a ps2 till '07 so I got a giant backlog of games to go through when I got that haha.a

Resonance of fate could have been special if they cared to make a dam story I know theres a "story" but dam it's so blah but the gameplay is unique and fun shame its yield together hype a hard to experience and boring narrative
Never had a PS3 but I'm glad I still managed to play Wrath of the White Witch Remastered on the PS4 and Trails of Cold Steel 1 and 2 on the Vita. Lookin' forward for NieR Replicant next year
Loved the list and mine would be exactly the same with the addition of Enchanted Arms. I don’t know why but something about that game was so much fun to me.
"Battle system plays itself" That's where you're wrong kiddo! XP I'm a FFXIII fanatic, and I totally can get why people didn't jive with it, but whenever I hear this, I honestly question how much of the game people played. Once you actually delve into the Paradigm system a few hours in, the game absolutely does NOT play itself; you have to learn how/when to switch to optimal setups to avoid wiping and cause maximum damage, and it requires a lot of quick reflexes to do properly. Additionally, if you mash "attack" with every character in random battles in basically every Final Fantasy game, which you can sorta do with a lot of them, you're effectively doing just as much or less than you are in XIII. But that's enough of my soapbox. I love the list! Hope to see more videos like this, I love getting little tidbits of insight on both the game and what you thought about them!
Great selection, except for Final 13 ;). I agree with you though, rhe game looks amazing, the music is great and Vanille is still best girl. Really wanted to love it, wasn't able. I don't think it's a must play. I mean RPGs are such long games, you're better off playing any of the nine others. But I agree that it's legit to let people forge their own opinion. A lot of people seem to like it. And I'm not one to talk in the end, I'm a big fan of Natural Doctrine and that game is not loved either haha.
Its quite a shame that so many gamers don’t give FF13-2 a fair shot because of the bitter taste FF13 left in their mouths. FF13-2 is an actual fun FF title. 3D Dot Game Heroes needs mentioning too.
The Trails series has become my favorite series. I've never played a game where I get so excited to see a NPC that I helped do a side quest, 4 games ago :D I recommend anyone to try out the other arcs (Sky, Crossbell) and really just enjoy it as a huge story. I'm glad you added FF13 to the list I personally cannot stand the games or the characters (Except Noel) . It's good for people to experience for themselves and see if they can enjoy it. Personally, I just think back to SE sweeping under the rug that they threatened a new FF7 unless this series sold well. All that did was make me not like the games even moreso.
@@TheGamingShelf I am loving Cold Steel 4 right now but personally, Ao no Kiseki is my favorite. It's the second game in the Crossbell arc and I really hope it gets a western release for others to enjoy it. I played with a translation that worked out just fine but having something official would be amazing.
It would be nice to have an official release! Hopefully those Switch versions make it out here. What did you like most about that game to make your favorite? There’s so many other games to choose from!
@@TheGamingShelf Every game has something special but I think the emotional toll this game took out of me, especially with the main characters near the end, is what made it stand out more. I love the world built around these amazing characters and I encourage everyone to give them a chance. It's never been about the graphics to me but how engaging the story and experience has been. You grow with each and every one of these characters (NPC and playable). It's been the best feeling.
I'm not the biggest fan of JRPGs in the PS3 era... It was such a weird generation for our beloved genre: I remember when PS magazines would anticipate White Knight Chronicles as the Messiah of JRPGs and we all know how that ended. The only game in the list I hold dear is Ni No Kuni, one of my favourite games and also a game that finally set a milestone (also the game that made me discover this channel ages ago), showing that going back to the roots wasn't a bad idea after all. My biggest bummer within these games is hands down Resonance of Fate: never have I felt so frustrated in a game prior to this one. There are so many good revolutionary ideas in the combat system ON PAPER, but I feel like everything was executed so poorly. It's a shame because it could've been an amazing game if only they had put some love into the plot.
Gotta play Eternal Sonata, Nier, Tales, and.... you are SO RIGHT ABOUT FFXIII. I personally adore the game and the whole trilogy for that matter. Completely understand why people hate it too, but for me its a gem still.
Legit surprised to see Eternal Sonata. Also, damn haven't thought about that game for years, flashbacks, dude. But yeah, it's beautiful, no doubt. I mean they made a sewer gorgeous. And just a really cool concept. Real-life historical figure, who was immensely talented and died young tragically, in the final stages of his life and the mad fever dream world in his final days. That's intriguing as hell. And the light/shadow gimmick has an interesting hook to it. However they don't really do anything with either and it just kind of starts meandering after a while, especially in the gameplay department. It just becomes this slog, that I just finished to finish. I also for the life of me, despite having beaten it, cannot remember how this damn thing ends. I just remember that Mozart himself was the last boss. Again, interesting and kind of sad, it's like the dream itself wants to go on living without him. Good stuff in bits and pieces but nothing ever comes together to form this coherent, satisfying whole. And since it is after all a game first I just cannot forgive how stale and monotonous that gameplay gimmick got. They did not expand on that thing at all. What you get in the in first few hours, is what you get.
@@TheGamingShelf I really wanted to love Xillia 2 and it’s not a bad game, but I think the silent protagonist approach fell short of what it was going for. I loved the character development and emotional story beats, and I do think it’s infinitely better as a sequel than Dawn of the New World was. The combat refinement was excellent as an upgrade from xillia as well. But oh god I hated revisiting all the boring maps. It’s still a good game though! That said, Graces f is the best one on PS3, you nailed. Thanks for your great content!
Great List! Spot on about FFXIII. I happen to love it, but do recognize it's not a traditional FF adventure, but rather its own thing. Don't use "Autobattle" (turn it off in the options!) to find a really deep battle system. I have Cold Steel I and II but haven't played them - I need to jump on in! Also, Resonance of Fate is a great, often overlooked, RPG - By far the best battle system I've seen in ages!

That's odd, Final Fantasy XIII is one of my favorite Final Fantasies of all time, but then again, Most of my favorite Final Fantasy games were made AFTER Final Fantasy 6.
@@TheGamingShelf The linearity wasn't much of a problem to me, the story and the combat were engaging enough to keep me playing this game; i mean, there are funny that are linear but that make them worse, like crash bandicoot or metal gear rising; i feel like linearity is just other style of gameplay which is quite overshadowed by sandboxs. Btw, the thing about the game playing itself just applies to the firsts battles of the game which is something not that weird, considering in most jrpg you just need to press the command "attack" to win. The challenge in FFXIII lies in know to what focus at certain moments; when you need to focus on stagger enemies, when your health is low enough to use a healer, if you need buffs to survive or debuff the enemie to tolare better the attacks, etc, they are ton of things to consider.
Dragon Quest skipped a home console generation, they still made two new games, Dragon Quest 9 on the DS and Dragon Quest 10 in Japan, on the PC, PS4, 3DS Wii, and Wii U, they also made a bunch of remakes on the DS, and 7 and 8 remakes on the 3DS. But if you don't count 9 because it was on a handheld and don't count 10 because it was an MMO and exclusive to Japan then you're right.
Ni No Kuni was the reason I bought a PS3. As for FF13, I thought you were going to put 13-2 on the list, since everything I hear about it is that it is a big improvement over 13.
@@TheGamingShelf Well, it wasn't my first PS3 game. It actually took a lot longer for it to come out in the US than expected, but that was the game that was the prime motivator to buy a PS3.

Okay cool! If you can deal with the older graphics definitely start with Persona 4: Golden. It has an amazing cast of characters and great story. Fire Emblem: Three Houses on Switch also has a great story IMO. Feel free to ask for more recommendations if you finish those or just want something different 😄
Enchanted Arms is probably the most overlooked JRPG on previous generation consoles. It’s disappointing to see it always being left out on PS3 and 360 Top 10 JRPG lists! It may just have my favorite combat system to date with the combination of traditional turn-based and strategy on a grid mechanics. It also has a huge arsenal of golems (that can be compared to having Pokémon), unlockable new skills, weapons, upgradeable parameters, cool items, etc. The story has been called generic and mediocre, but I’ll never understand that. It may not be the best story of all time, but it’s certainly unique and enjoyable. The character interaction is fantastic and there’s a bit of humor spread throughout the game via dialogue. The music is great and memorable as well. Love this game overall and it’s various towns and environments. Pacing is perfect and there isn’t any fluff. Have you tried Enchanted Arms? If so, what did you think about it?
Couldn't agree more on FF XIII sure the game has its weaknesses for sure but I do think the combat system when dived into is pretty good and really underestimated if they took some more time on it and removed the pretty much auto one I think people would have a whole other view on the combat of FF XIII.
I kind of had to lol. These lists are more objective for people trying to get into a particular console. I don't like them but clearly a lot of people do. Also it was really hard to find 10 quality JRPGs on the PS3 😆
I find FF13 mediocre. However I think FF13-2 is a great game and Lightning Returns is one of the best in the series. I think it's worth slogging through 13 because if you skip it and go directly to 13-2, the emotional payoff will be that much lower.
nice list, I'm not an FF13 hater nor lover, but I do think it has place in a top10, but it was an important game for PS3 and also for Square Dragon's Dogma is missing for me, one of the best experimental games from Capcom during that time
I liked that game too, but I guess to me it felt more like a western style RPG made by a Japanese developer rather than a “JRPG” if that makes sense. Saw with the Souls games.
@@TheGamingShelf yeah, I can see that :) I think it would be hard to make a top10 list for Wii and X360, but maybe some selected games from those consoles could also be a topic for a similar video (like Lost Odyssey and Last Story)
FF13's gameplay shines the best in the hardest extra missions. Let's see if y'all's "game plays itself" crap applies there. (Spoiler it doesn't). Also Vanille best girl? I mean it's okay to not have a soul but damn boy.

Yeah, don't jump straight into Cold Steel, and don't expect Persona out of it. To truly understand the scope of the Trails series, you need to start at Trails in the Sky, and play through all the games in the series. It's not Final Fantasy, every game is connected and important, possibly to an even greater degree than the Kingdom Hearts series
I thought you're going to mention FFXIII-2 hence the thumbnail. Cause for me, FFXIII-2 is far superior than FFXIII. I love FFXIII. But for me, it feels like it main purpose is to introduce us it's world and lore.
Level-5 only churned our gold up until that point and WKC felt so bland. No interesting art style or world. I also didn’t like the online aspect. I was looking for a straight forward JRPG.
Mentioning Tales of Graces but not he best Tales of Game Xillia? And wow you are really lucky if you like FF13. This was nearly the worst JRPG I have ever played, 13-2 was not better... and Lightning Returns doesn´t even get a chance because of this for me. Even Enchanted Arms is better xD
Graces was better, for sure. I loved Xillia. It's basically a retelling of Symphonia, but like in a GOOD way, not the crappy, half-asses, poorly-thought-out way Vesperia tried to retread old ground. But Graces also has a good story, really interesting new gameplay mechanics (like the Eleth Mixer), and the combat is FAAAAR and away the best the series has ever seen.
@@TheGamingShelf i know, most people don't even know it was in the ps3. i believe it had only made limited copies for the ps3. but damn your list was really spot on.
The real shame is that nobody gave FF13-2 a fair shot because of the bad taste 13 left in their mouths. Its a FUN FF game, and all the complaints you listed about 13 aren’t present in 13-2. Guess a year later I still feel the same way.

FFXIII is a masterpiece in my opinion. I absolutely love that game
I've been meaning to dive into the Legend of Heroes series, so seeing those on the list is cool. The Guided Fate Paradox was a game I really liked, but maybe it's more of a hidden gem on the system.
I remember that game. To me it fell into that experimental/weird bucket of JRPGs that didn’t quite do it for me.
Oh my goodness, I almost forgot to pick up a copy of Eternal Sonata. Thanks for the video!
Happy to help 😄
Trails series - simply the best jRPG series out there :)
😬
I liked the experimental phase of jrpgs in this era. Other ones I liked were infinite unidiscovery and Blue Dragon. Tons of people love lost odyssey but I never played it. I love the premise of eternal sonata though, wish there were more historical fiction RPGs or action RPGs.
Xbox 360 has a weirdly good JRPG library! I’ll get to that one eventually 😅
Aw man you’re missing! Ni no Kuni in particular is a really special game.
Thanks Freutty!
There's also a good amount of jrpgs on handhelds that haven't seen any re-makes or slim re-releases (Golden Sun comes to mind), but i also played more handheld games growing up than console games.
Handheld lists are coming after PS4 😉
Same I only had handhelds and pc
@@ericp631 I did have some consoles but they were all nintendo and I got them late into their lifespan. I didn't get a ps2 till '07 so I got a giant backlog of games to go through when I got that haha.a
Great list my friend especially agree with your inclusion of Grace's F it's to me the best of the tales series. However you got pretty controversial there at the end lol. Resonance of fate could have been special if they cared to make a dam story I know theres a "story" but dam it's so blah but the gameplay is unique and fun shame its yield together hype a hard to experience and boring narrative
The story had me hooked and I wanted to know more but the last chapters and the ending didn't explain much... It was quite a let down...
Never had a PS3 but I'm glad I still managed to play Wrath of the White Witch Remastered on the PS4 and Trails of Cold Steel 1 and 2 on the Vita. Lookin' forward for NieR Replicant next year
Same! It looks great.
Cool video. Also 9: 42 I noticed that you are cultured nice. I love Lightning in Final Fantasy Dissidia NT. ^_^
Lightning is great 😍
@@TheGamingShelf Square Enix has gone amazing work. Have you seen Yuffie in the Final Fantasy 7 Remake. ^_^
Yeah she’s so cute!
@@TheGamingShelf What do you think about Tifa ? I love her she is cool. ^_^
She’s great too! Love her in FF7 Remake.
Loved the list and mine would be exactly the same with the addition of Enchanted Arms. I don’t know why but something about that game was so much fun to me.
Sounds like you have good taste ;)
"Battle system plays itself"
That's where you're wrong kiddo! XP
I'm a FFXIII fanatic, and I totally can get why people didn't jive with it, but whenever I hear this, I honestly question how much of the game people played.
Awesome, I’m glad you enjoyed the video 😄 More are definitely coming!
The story of RESONANCE OF FATE remind me of the story of final fantasy VII,the characters design are also reminiscent of the Final fantasy series
Awesome list!
If you have a Switch ( a UK / Europe account then Ni No Kuni is £8 / €10 / R135. A pure bargain for the jrpg lover
Great deal!
Oh that’s a great one! 3D Dot Game Heroes was a cool game.
Awesome! I’m glad you found a series to love. Do you have a particular favorite in the Trails series?
I tend to agree. Ni no Kuni is far and away my favorite PS3 game and most other JRPGs that gen don’t even come close.
_TALES OF XILLIA_ but I like tales of graces f anyone
What did you think of Xillia 2?
@@TheGamingShelf Sorry never got the chance to play it
@@TheGamingShelf I really wanted to love Xillia 2 and it’s not a bad game, but I think the silent protagonist approach fell short of what it was going for.
The best girl in FFXIII is Fang.
My top 10 PS3 JRPGs (With one per franchise, and no games that came out simultaneously on PS4):
10. *Atelier Rorona: The Alchemist of Arland*
9. *Star Ocean: The Last Hope*
8. *Nier*
7. *Ar NoSurge: Ode to an Unborn Star*
6. *Fairy Fencer F*
5. *Yakuza 5*
4. *The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel*
3. *Valkyria Chronicles*
2. *Tales of Graces f*
1. *Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch*
Great list!
@@TheGamingShelf Thanks mate, same to you!
Tales of Symphonia isnt considered better than Graces f?
@@guilhermecaiado5384 That is honestly a very good point, especially since Symphonia is my favorite game of all time, lol. It's been a while since I wrote the comment, but I'm gonna guess my mindset was that it's more of a port than anything else, which is why I didn't include it. It would obviously be number one on the list if I did include it though.
Valkyria chronicles is amazing
I bought it 3 times on different consoles
You might want to wait a while before doing the PS4 list given that Tales of Arise releases next year. That looks very promising and I wouldn't want it's later release to exclude it from the video.
I think I might do some kind of update later if a bunch of new games crack the top 10.
I like ff13 a lot, all 3 games in the triology but no sorry, Fang is the best girl :p
I liked resonate of Fate a lot in the beginning, but the combat system was too complicated for me.
How dare you dismiss the perfect angel, Vanille 😡
Great list of games. Thank you.
FF XIII OST is 🔥. XIII story was intriguing to say the least, but I did enjoy it. Wish i could dust off my ps3 to play some of these games i missed . My backlog for ps4 is my top priority to get through lol
I don’t blame you, PS4 has tons of great games. For what it’s worth, a lot of these games got PS4 ports if you wanna add to the backlog ;)
Kool video, FF13 was kool as I got to send monsters into the air & try to beat them before they hit the ground sadly that did not make it into part 2 so i rage quit lol & so not interested in playing the 3rd game as there is a time limit sigh.
I love FFXIII, I mean, I love almost all JRPG's. But! it's not nearly as bad as people say..
i love FF13 as well, it's my second FF after the disappointing of FF15 so maybe not having that much history with the franchise played in my favor.
idgaf what anyone says FF13 is my favorite Final Fantasy so far (I've played X, 7 Remake, the rest of the 13 trilogy, and playimg X-2) and I don't think that will change. MAYBE the next part of remake or FF14, but idk
FFVI VII and VIII are waaaasy better than X and XIII
Play FFIX, it’s the best FF out there!
That's odd, Final Fantasy XIII is one of my favorite Final Fantasies of all time, but then again, Most of my favorite Final Fantasy games were made AFTER Final Fantasy 6.
It was one of those things where you had to be there at launch. It was a crime against FF with how linear 13 was.
@@TheGamingShelf True, but oh well, to each their own, I guess. The music is what kept me going from start to finish.
Will there be a xbox360 list or will you mostly focus on PlayStation consoles? Asking because my favorite rpg is on the 360 “Lost Odyssey”
Yes! I plan on going through every console. Nintendo will probably be next but I’ll get to Xbox one day.
I really quite think final fantasy 13 is underrated. And so are its 2 other side games, 13-2 and lightning returns
Ni No Kuni was the reason I bought a PS3. As for FF13, I thought you were going to put 13-2 on the list, since everything I hear about it is that it is a big improvement over 13.
NNK is so incredible. Definitely worthy of being someone’s first PS3 game.
@@TheGamingShelf Well, it wasn't my first PS3 game. It actually took a lot longer for it to come out in the US than expected, but that was the game that was the prime motivator to buy a PS3.
I think is worth mentioning that some of this games were release in the Xbox 360.
True!
VANILLE IS INDEED BEST GIRL!!!! THANK YOU OH MY GOD. I’m subscribing just for that. Besties thinking alike

Okay cool! If you can deal with the older graphics definitely start with Persona 4: Golden. It has an amazing cast of characters and great story. Fire Emblem: Three Houses on Switch also has a great story IMO.

Trials of cold steel is my all time favorite series music is so Great but it's characters story an gameplay as good as it gets
Really enjoyed final fantasy 13❤ currently replaying it
Enchanted Arms is probably the most overlooked JRPG on previous generation consoles.
Hopefully finish TOCS4 this weekend.
I'm more shocked you including Trails of Cold Steel in the list. Haha
I kind of had to lol. These lists are more objective for people trying to get into a particular console. I don't like them but clearly a lot of people do. Also it was really hard to find 10 quality JRPGs on the PS3 😆
It was originally made for the ps3 before being ported to everything, like all the games on the list
Funny how I don't like turn based RPGs other than Chrono, and FF13 and Lighting Returns were two of my favorite games from the PS3.
I knew there were FF13 fans out there!
I find FF13 mediocre. However I think FF13-2 is a great game and Lightning Returns is one of the best in the series. I think it's worth slogging through 13 because if you skip it and go directly to 13-2, the emotional payoff will be that much lower.
FF13 is in my top 10 favorite games of all time
Imo FFXIII was garbage. FF hasn't been any good since 9.

I heard it's also the better version.
nice list, I'm not an FF13 hater nor lover, but I do think it has place in a top10, but it was an important game for PS3 and also for Square
Dragon's Dogma is missing for me, one of the best experimental games from Capcom during that time
I liked that game too, but I guess to me it felt more like a western style RPG made by a Japanese developer rather than a “JRPG” if that makes sense. Saw with the Souls games.
@@TheGamingShelf yeah, I can see that :)
I think it would be hard to make a top10 list for Wii and X360, but maybe some selected games from those consoles could also be a topic for a similar video (like Lost Odyssey and Last Story)
@TheOutkast4ever we are past that time when jrpg meant japanese made rpg, it's japanese style rpg nowdays, at least from my perspective

I actually really dug Xillia 2, but I only wanted to pick one game per franchise and had to go with Graces.
@@TheGamingShelf graces story isn’t not good and the characters are annoying but has the beat gameplay. Xillia 2 is a superior game in many ways IMO

FF13's gameplay shines the best in the hardest extra missions. Let's see if y'all's "game plays itself" crap applies there. (Spoiler it doesn't). Also Vanille best girl? I mean it's okay to not have a soul but damn boy.
Is Tales of Graces f that good ? I have only played xillia 2.

@@TheGamingShelf From what I have seen most tales of games have a similar combat system. But I think tales of Graces f is gonna be the next tales of game I'm playing. Thanks for the list.
I loved FFVII music so much
It has an incredible soundtrack!
I thought you're going to mention FFXIII-2 hence the thumbnail. Cause for me, FFXIII-2 is far superior than FFXIII. I love FFXIII. But for me, it feels like it main purpose is to introduce us it's world and lore.
Seriously though (*?%?& Resonance of Fate, it's the first rpg that was so hard it made me quit.
I think he forgot that persona 5 is also technically a ps3 game....
It’s not the best way to play the game. I don’t want games being on multiple lists.
FF13 was much better than 15, possibly unpopular opinion but damn the boy band was disappointing.

I loved lightning returns ff13
No mention of White Knight Chronicles 2 saddens me
How much that game disappointed me saddens me :(
@@TheGamingShelf How so?
Level-5 only churned our gold up until that point and WKC felt so bland. No interesting art style or world. I also didn’t like the online aspect. I was looking for a straight forward JRPG.
I only played Nier on this list but I guess that is something since I don't play RPGs much in general.
I wasn’t the biggest fan of Xillia. I was bored with it. Graces has better combat too.
Graces was better, for sure. I loved Xillia. It's basically a retelling of Symphonia, but like in a GOOD way, not the crappy, half-asses, poorly-thought-out way Vesperia tried to retread old ground. But Graces also has a good story, really interesting new gameplay mechanics (like the Eleth Mixer), and the combat is FAAAAR and away the best the series has ever seen.
cant believe persona 5 was left out
To be honest I always forget it’s a PS3 game too lol
@@TheGamingShelf i know, most people don't even know it was in the ps3. i believe it had only made limited copies for the ps3. but damn your list was really spot on.
The real shame is that nobody gave FF13-2 a fair shot because of the bad taste 13 left in their mouths. Its a FUN FF game, and all the complaints you listed about 13 aren’t present in 13-2.
Guess a year later I still feel the same way.
play ff13 it amazingly managed to make me stop playing midway. i play ff 7 to 13, play fft, fft advance, fft advance 2, ff x-2, and this is the only ff manage to make me bored. quite achievement
FFXIII was the first FF that i never completed, really bad and afger many hours just stopped playing 😤
I don't recommand playing Cold Steel when you haven't already play Sky Trilogy and Crosbell duology..
It’s hard when the crossbell games haven’t been localized.
@@TheGamingShelf At least for cold steel 3 and 4 then, they can't be played without Crossbell (not really without sky but it still better)
I prefer Selphie over Vanille
She’s cute too :)
Eternal sonata is the best on the list.
5:13 Comparing Atelier to FIFA due to being a yearly release is kinda a poor move. You might make people think that it's just rehash after rehash.
On the PS3 that was pretty much true though. Totori and Meruru barely changed to the formula.
@@TheGamingShelf For those two, I kinda agree, but the Dusk trilogy changed the formula a bit, and even Rorona Plus implemented the changes and improvements from Meruru and Escha & Logy, hence the slight similarity. While I haven't played the original Rorona, AFAIK, Totori was an improvement over the original Rorona though.
What's the background track playing in the beginning?
The Sunleth Waterscape from Final Fantasy XIII.
