I have the duku chandong 10 inch and the golok 135 from myparang!!! Love them!!!
The best part about the bidor Malaysian parangs and myparangs is that they actually source their 5160 from the actual steel mill they are not using random leaf springs so they are actually using high quality control even for their source of material!!!
it also means that their 5160 has a better and finer grain structure and is a higher quality of 5160 than you would find in a random leaf spring that has been used and abused and fatigued under the load of a vehicle
I had the duka, i loved the blade but i had to do a lot of custom shaping on the handle for me.

Too bad you can't test those blades to do what they are designed to do; bamboo!!!! Using them in north america is quite ridicules. LOL!!!
this is not really true. do you think they don't have trees over there?
Well they have more than just bamboo over there...but, yeah, where I live in Northern PA, these type chopper blades are mostly useless. They just bounce off our hardwoods which is actually kind of dangerous. Always have my axe for chopping and splitting.
@@pennsyltuckyreb9800 sounds like you need a good sharpening. Malaysian woods are some of the hardest. A friend gifted me the 10" duku, and it will chew up and spit out anything I've thrown at it, even though it doesn't pack the weight of normal size parangs.
