  • Installing a new 4 blade prop on my Lowe Skorpion 16 Bass Boat. I have a Mercury 30HP 4 stroke motor. With the stock 3 blade, I was able to reach a top speed of 30mph and am still able to reach that speed with the new 4 blade prop. Key differences is that I have a much quicker hole shot and the boat gets up on plane much faster. This new prop is Mercury Spitfire 4-Blade Aluminum Propeller Prop 9.3 x 11P 25-30HP 48-8M8026655.

What pitch was your original 3 blade prop?

I’m not sure what the stock prop is but I went with
Mercury Spitfire 4-Blade Aluminum Propeller Prop 9.3 x 11P 25-30HP 48-8M8026655. Much better performance than stock

I’m not exactly sure what the stock pitch was. This is what I went with
Mercury Spitfire 4-Blade Aluminum Propeller Prop 9.3 x 11P 25-30HP 48-8M8026655. I get much better performance out of this new prop.

@@Subariblet better performance meaning? did you lose top speed? if so how many MPH? I am sure it handles better with more contact.

@@1fastpitchforever I lost 4 mph. But the hole shot is much faster and the boat gets on plane significantly quicker.
