Mr.Leung is the most famous violinist in the Hong Kong. If possible I would like him to upload a piece of music named Cavatina composed by Raff . I think if play by him will achieve a wonderful feeling.
That's an interesting grip of the violin. I find that holding it at an angle like that makes vibrato a lot easier, but since I've been taught to hold it differently I've never really rolled with it. Cool seeing different artists doing things differently.
sometimes touching uncertain notes on violin disturbs me. if passages between notes on violin dont match with piano, the music sounds distorted, especially at high notes. for example, at 02:50, those high notes should have been played more delicately for this masterpiece. Whilst listening, I feel irritated and I dont know whether it is necessary to overuse vibratos or not. This is what I feel, not what I know :)
I don't intend to criticize, because I am not a professional musician. But, I have the consciousness of telling a Professional what might be developped to improve himself. He is awarded this talent by God, I wish I could be talented as much as his fingernail!
TheMrkcl also “see score” is likely the best answer. There are individual interpretations as to how a piece ought to be played. I think vibrato is necessary and yes, the violinist was slightly sharp on a few measures. The performance was still good.
