I have had mine for 4 years now and it works great! I had to do a google search to familiarize myself with how to clean the filter again. Mine runs 24/7 continuously with a hose hooked up. This is a HUGE help for my wet basement - and this is a rental property. This has worked for 4 years without issue.
To all of the "nay sayers": The unit will not start if 1. The filter isn't clean 2. The bucket is full. Some people fill up the bucket with water. You can do this, but you'll have it empty it sooner than intended. 3. You need to hit the filter reset button. 4. Do not blame the unit if you haven't read and understand the operation of the unit first. 4. Everyone "Thinks" that this unit works like "All other units worked for them in the past. (They have owned one before)..5. This unit doesn't require you to fill up the bucket first. It is a resevoir, Not intended to put moisture into the air, but remove it. Hopefully, this clears up a lot of your concerns with this unit. UA-cam was not intended to make everyone a scholar, so stay in school.
I have a Soleus air dehumidifier that I installed in my finished basement due to mold issues. It dried out the basement and has been work 24/7 for 15 years. Yes 15 years non stop. It finally quit working... well....pops the gfci anyway. I dont know if I just got a good one from them or what but I will be buying another one from this company. I looked at Frigidaire but after reading comments from people that had good and bad experiences with Frigidaire im sticking with Soleus.
Ran it for a couple years, got the "Change Filter" error. Finally got around to cleaning it - pan of water with some white vinegar and an old toothbrush. Working fine again.
Mine doesnt shut off when bucket is full, when i take out bucket to empty, it keeps running. also the the power button stays on even when it shut off? Ive had it 5 yrs i think. Just started acting up. Model is DS1-70e-101
folks, I have had mine running constantly for 3 weeks, one time it stopped collecting water. I unplugged it and took out and put the tank back in and it has worked fine ever since. Just a suggestion.
I can't seem to get the DMT-30-A level enough for the hose to drain. The bucket always fills up. I've even used multiple levels to make it level. Does the Continuous mode flip some flap to redirect water out the hose instead of into the bucket? Or will I have to worry that the bucket will overflow?
I have had two 30 pt huhidifiers both have had eratic humidity displays. the first failed when the refrigent line coroded and broke at the heat exchanger. The second compressor and fans run but not putting warm air or reducing humidity in house after 2 1/2 yr JUNK I purchased at Menards which does not show Soleus in their enventory in Aug 2021.
I keep getting an E4 error code. HQ tells me it's overheating. My landlord told me to check the filters. I only know if 1 filter on the front. Is there another one???
@@fjb7indy Yes, it's the humidity sensor. I removed mine, and used the number on the board to get another one off ebay.. it was about $5.00. It just unplugs from unit.
Would love these clowns to get back to me..... had unit for less then 2 years and I have EH code showing and it's no longer working.... no way to get ahold of them either... if stay away from this brand for sure
piece of crap...how the heck do uou get the water out of tyhe inside bucket? attach a hose and let gravity do its thing...ya right.... the removable water bucket is empty but i cant get the thing to start anymore....junk....why does everything have to be elctronic crap these days....

Mine won't collect under 50% anymore. After 6 months of running consistently. Is there anything needed to fix this with the 70 pint model??

My soleus dehumidifiers freezing up after just a few minutes The coils frost right over anybody have any ideas? air seems to be flowing through it
Mine ran fine for 2 years until I finally realized the reservoir and or pump was doing anything. It won't dehumidifie anymore.

Ran ours for about a year. No receipt or warranty. Compressor hot no cooling. Fan runs great but no dehumidifying. $$$ Garbage.
Concur. Similar experience. Ran well all season; then two weeks ago .... completely dry collection reservoir. No troubleshooting possible, apparently.

That is normal. Dehumidifiers heat up the air a bit.
worked great for one season, then wouldn't fire up next season. So got a different brand and problem solved.
These things are garbage. I'm on my third one after exchanging 2 and mine are not pulling any water at all into the tank.
