Craig McCracken is this weeks guest! Craig has worked on so many shows from the early 90's to now. From 2 Stupid Dogs, Dexter's Lab to creating the Powerpuff Girls, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Wander over Yonder and Kid Cosmic. In this episode we chat about how he started his career, his creations, his biggest influences, how he gets and flushes out ideas for creating these amazing shows and so much more.
Craig is one of those creators that has been so prolific, that almost every decade since the 90s he has given us all something we can call our own. Most people are lucky to catch lightning in a bottle once, Craig through hard work and dedication to his craft has continued to catch lightning for the past 26 years. This was an interview I never thought I would get to do, Ive been a fan of this man since I was 6. It was a dream come true for me to chat with someone that helped mold my world and gave me something to watch then and watch now with my kids.

I like that about him, he doesn’t just stick to the same ole same ole. He likes pushing the boundaries and creating something new each time. He brings that up during the full interview
@@WhatsInMyHeadPodcast yeah, like I can understand why Butch Hartman uses the same style for all of his cartoons. "If it ain't broke don't fix it." But it definitely gives each cartoon their own personality when they have their own art style to keep each one distinct.

I love Bloo he is funny. I like laughing at jerk characters. Characters who are designed to be jerky acting like jerks is a good thing characters accidentally being annoying is bad.
Everyone has a preference
Your on to something I think it comes down to setting. Which is what I think is the current problem with current animation without a good concept and setting no matter how well animated your show is, if it isn't something people want to watch it will fail.
@@smithydavis1033 I love jerk characters. Someone needs to start the conflict. I dislike characters like Scrappy Doo who are accidently annoying.
