  • In this video I am going to show you how to grow Jade plant from cutted leaves or branch.
First you need to cut the leaves or the branch from the flower. Then you put it in a humus soil, and you water it. You wait for 1 month until the Jade releases roots, and then you water it twice a month. And after that month you can put it in to another pot.

    Interesting.
The Jade has been one of the hardest plants for me to grow!

Sorry but I have to comment here. I never comment on videos but I have to here because I see too many people making this mistake and passing it onto others. Whenever you clip a branch or snap a leaf off of a succulent, you should always leave that part of the plant to sit out for a few days up to a week, depending on your home's region. You need to let the succulent form a callus where you cut it from the mother plant. Sometimes you're successful if you don't do those things, but in the long run it's best for your succulents and the propagated babies that come from the snipped leaves, but the reason to do that is because succulents are full of water and the best time to cut a branch or a leaf is whenever they are plump and when they are, that means that they are full of water. When you expose a recently cut stem or leaf to wet soil, they have a tendency to start rotting. Just a little FYI to the newbies of propagation. If you want to be successful down the long run with your plants then definitely make sure that you are letting your plant pieces callus over so that they don't absorb water too fast and then end up rotting out. Also, another tip is whenever you do first plant them after they callus over, wait up to 3 days before watering them because if you wait to water them, they will end up growing roots faster. Succulents are kind of finicky like that but that's the best way that it works. Good luck with your succulents and always keep growing.

@Susan bond no, it is not bad to leave them on the cutting since they will be part of your new plant. I guess the cutting would root faster if you had just a couple of leaves because it can put more energy in growing roots, but if you have more leaves, the plant will look more full from the beginning on.

Good tips! I love my jade plants and have done this a few time, usually works fine but my last batch ended up over watered when the soil wouldn't dry out, I've never heard of humus soil! Worked amazing!

I have watched SOOO MANY propagating videos and I can't, for the life of me, get ANYTHING to propagate after just sticking into dirt and watering like you just did.
Like, I can't even keep the plants in my windowsill because the moisture just collects into the dirt... (It's winter now, but other than summer time- propagating seems to be quite a challenge for me)
Which brings me to my BIG QUESTION:
What temp do you keep your house at?
Because they're is NO WAY POSSIBLE- ( I say this as nice as I can because I don't have high humidity- I know because I have a humidity thermo in my living room and one inside my bearded dragons old cage. ) it's been 2 weeks and the only things left in his cage are his mini dogo bed and his hammock, but I'm still not over the grieving phase. The cleaning, for me, comes when I'm ready and have COMPLETELY allowed the sorrow to pass and I have 110% let go of the fact that he's gone and was here to teach the lessons he gave me.
There are reasons for people and pets to come into your life when they do, I STRONGLY believe. This can be for the whole story, heyday humans, dogs out cats bc they live line. They can be in your life for a chapter, a season, a lesson or simply a day-to-day JUST to teach you a simple lesson.
We, humans don't have a choice in the matter, for choosing how long they stay, but we can make the most of the time we DO HAVE with them while they're with us. THIS, is the balance.
(This is how I have operated and grieved every pet I've had that has passed away. Although he was only almost 4 yrs old, a gasping with his head tilted up, to a matter of taking his last breath, laying on my chest to bring just "GONE", in a matter of 2 hours, wasn't exactly a "normal" or a "natural" way I have EVER had a reptile just pass away on me- not in the 2 decades I've owned reptiles anyways.
So how hot us your house?
