What an amazing talk, would love to meet you one day sensei Judy, as a practitioner for over 16 yrs myself, aikido has been life changing for me. Not only it helps me shape the hot headed naïve person i was to the person i am proud to be today. Not only the principle of aikido helps me, but physical practices , the break falls save my life twice in an accident, and physically did a forward roll on a street at high speed, and walk off injuries free, without having time to think, the muscle memory just kicks in to protect myself roll into a ball and walk off the street safely. Since then, i been so proud to be a student of aikido, till the day my time ends on earth i will practice the art and share it. Love from malaysia. Hope can meet sensei one day haha.
Thank you, Timothy. I apologize for taking 2 months to get back to you. I'm just getting the hang of what it means to have a UA-cam Channel, and I appreciate your comment. Glad you liked the video. And please find me on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, too! facebook.com/PowerandPresence/
Thank you BTM for your comment. I'm delighted you found the video helpful. The book is my first book -- "Unlikely Teachers: Finding the Hidden Gifts in Daily Conflict". I also have a second book (2019), "Turn Enemies Into Allies: The Art of Peace in the Workplace" -- both available on Amazon and wherever books are sold. Good ki to you, my friend!
@@JudyRinger Great video. I'm learning Aikido and it's a journey. Even though I'm not a beginner ( green belt so no expert either) I still find I get anxious at work. It's probably a throw back from PTSD. But like I said it's a journey and I'm gradually getting better.
@@Peterbyl1 - thank you, Peter. You've hit on the most important aspect of the practice of Aikido, stress and conflict management, and anything really--showing up on the mat everyday, literally and figuratively, and practicing what we want to get better at. It is truly an enlightening journey.
Thank you very much, Simon. I appreciate you're stopping by. And you seem to have an understanding of aikido, which is humbling. I'm glad you left a comment. Good ki to you, my friend.
