Battling a Big Bluefin Tuna on Stand Up Spin Tackle!

Join Kieren and Liam as they battle a Giant Bluefin Tuna on Stand Up Spin Tackle! Fishing onboard Kierens charter boat Unleashed from Newlyn in Cornwall (UK), the brothers head out in search of a Big Tuna on a fixed spool / spin rod set up for the ultimate challenge!
Equipped with the Penn Carnage Monster Bluefin 6' 4" 130lb Stand Up rod and Authority 10500 reel, loaded with 104lb Spiderwire Stealth Smooth 8 braid. Within minutes of finding some big fish working inshore, the pair hook up to a beast that locks them in to an insane fight on stand up tackle in shallow water!
Sam couldn't join us for a full filming session, but we managed to grab some footage on our phones between fighting the fish and manoeuvring the boat! Watch the video to see some of the footage from the fight, and the magnificent fish alongside the boat as we revive and release the fish.
Kieren's charter boat has a permit to recreationally fish for Bluefin Tuna. The tuna fishery is strictly regulated in the UK, and the recreational fishery is 100% catch and release.
