1969 VW Bug Heater Cable Replacement

So i'm about to do this same thing on my 65. It hasn't had heat for some time and here in Utah...it's kinda needed. How did you get the lines through? Shoot some cleaner up in the tubes?

I used some spray and the old cable to clean it out.
