Good job and I like when someone new comes into our field and seen the rc planes from a distance and want to watch and ask questions about the hobby,😊👍👍👍 good video Philip
Thanks Frank . Yeah they were the perfect spectators . I usually wait till folks pass after a little convo , but they were particularly interested really wanted to see it go up . 👍🏼✈
Thanks Branko , Everyone's been very supportive and comments on what a great location this is to fly . Most of the flights are fairly short at 5-6 mins and I often take a break between them to let the planes cool down . Most RC flyers are like myself and do everything we can to encourage others and answer questions as we like to share and see the hobby grow .
I've got the original Timber 1.5M. I've thought a time or two about getting the X but then realize that with my 79-year-old eyesight and reflexes there is no way I'm flying that model to its full potential.
@@BillKisel I hear you Bill . Kinda the same feeling . This was on sale and I kept it in the box for over a year deciding on whether to fly or sell it . Not much into aerobatics myself either but if I'm going to try it this seems like a good choice . I prefer the big Timber 1.5 as well and usually get nice touch and goes and landings with it . Cheers.
Thanks , this was only my second day out with it and the 5-6 th flight I think . I don't think I;ve had a really good landing yet . LOL . The maiden day was the same too with several interruptions . 😆. I wasn't too sure how close those folks were standing behind me , so better to keep it in sight , Usually that road is super quiet and I can take my time with the approaches ,
@PhilipCockram As long as she comes down safely in one piece, I can't complain. My runway looks exactly like yours-a dirt road just wide enough for a truck in the middle of a farm field. The tall grass growing on either side gives a nice cushion for when I come in hot with a nose over. I always have a blast flying the timber X! Have you tried the 1.2m P-47 yet? I maidened mine back at the end of December, just before the weather became unbearable here in New York. It's another great flyer. I really enjoy the 1.2-meter warbird series.
@@JustPlaneNutzRC Thanks for the message . Lots of my landings end up sliding into the grass but so far no damage has ever occured . The crown on this road is really narrow and as soon as you are off to one side its basically over . LOL . No worries though as I'm lucky to fly there and its very close . The P-47 is on my list . Everyone has good things to say about it . I really love the 1.2M Corsair and my 1.1 M Spitfire . Agreed it's a sweet spot for warbirds . With these temps , hopefully we'll be back out there soon ! 👍🏼🇨🇦
Howdy🤠👋@Philip Cockram Wick'd👍 or 👌What?! Happy🙂 to see yer 👩🌾Video & the Laughs 😂😃😉Etc. Glad they liked 😛the Timber 🤗Airplane!!! Deeecent 😁People Eh!!! 🥰✈✈🛩🛩💖💖💖
Thanks Miss . It was fun to talk to such enthusiastic people . Most people around here are like this when they encounter the hobby upclose for the first time . Have a great week . LUBZ. 👍🏼✈😀❤
Most are accepting but there's been a few that have no problem running there leaf blowers , lawn mowers and snow blowers at 7 am . But an electric ' toy ' in the afternoon is ....UNACCEPTABLE . LOL 😆

Man, I was hoping you would nail that landing. However, your neighbors still seemed impressed.
Thanks Bill . Its going to take me a few more flights to get this one dialed in .

Nice flying! My Timber X landings usually look identical to yours when people show up out of the blue to watch me fly. 😂

Isn't it great to see bystanders showing some interest in the hobby?! Over here, they'd likely be a pair of 'Karens' telling you off...
