ive recently done a similar effect, with blur applied to shapes and animating it when scrolled into view. It's worth noting it works pretty well on Safari and Arc, but on Chrome it's EXTREMELY laggy. it would be good to know if anyone else has experienced it?

I have the same problem, have you found any solution?

@@serurdavid hi David- I think I found a workaround! Instead of blurring the shapes, I created the blurred shapes in Affinity Designer (I reckon you can use Illustrator for that as well) and exported them as PNGs. I assigned the same classes and played around with animation settings to achieve the desired effect. So far, it works across all browsers:) let mek now if you manage to get it to work at your end!

The only issue is, it's not very performant. It will work okay-ish by itself, but with more content and DOM elements whole website will struggle
