This has been so helpful!! I started an Etsy in July of 2021 and it’s been essentially empty. I’ve made three sales this entire time and I wanted to give Live sales a try and I’ve got a much more positive outlook on this maybe being my solution.
A seconds item is such a good idea to add to a flash sale! Never would have thought of that. I've never heard of an Instagram flash sale, it sounds like a really cool idea, like something people hypothesized in the past and now it's a real thing in the future waaa! 🤩🤩 I never would've also thought about what time you should be hosting these flash sales, I really can imagine how much energy you need to run them then feel pressured to continue with the work dat afterwards. I'm a little blown away at this drive-thru mailing situation oh my gosh whaaaat that's so convenient!! 😀
Honestly the B-grade/seconds item was the main reason we started the flash sale! I had SO MUCH to get rid of and for the first 2 months, they were the best sellers. Being that I make my prints and cards from home now I make a lot of oopsies so it works out! I feel like the pressure to get it done the next day isn't a necessity.. but honestly it isn't so bad -- but it's more so nice to get it done and finished asap! OMG YES I actually held up the line because I had about 40 packages/envelopes to send through :,) but it's quite convenient! Glad you enjoyed the video!

So organised! I love it 😻 I worked for 3 years in the events and it gives me a satisfaction when i see works done with good preparation, organisation and execution 😂 it was interesting to learn about the flash sale. Never heard about it before! Good job! 👏
OMG I'm glad you enjoyed our organization! Yes I only discovered it during when Hawaii had a very strict lock down around April. It was definitely a genius idea but we made it our own! I never realized how many different products I had until we did these live sales! haha! Thank you so much!!!

Great video....How did you know people requested an item? Was it based on comments on the live feed? How do you prevent selling something you run out of?

Do you write down their IG handle and then DM them in IG their invoice? Or do you ask for their email? How does that work?
Hey there!~ Thanks so much for watching -- I hope my reply isn't too late to help you out I'm sorry I took so long :( Yes so I have my husband writing down IG handles as people join online for the sale ad he writes down the codes next to their usernames (you could also work on a computer and create a spreadsheet if that's easier!) and we DM them a little checkout form asking for their emails to send an invoice to! I really should create an updated version of this video so it could be more helpful now that we have a better system but I hope it still helped in some way!
