  • This is a trick that lazy delivery drivers do to customers all the time!
    Don't get taken advantage of by this trick!
    The scam is that he ripping of his company for not doing work he was paid to do and ripping me off because I paid for door service and I had to go pick up the package. UPS also has to pay these local drop offs for doing it. He is running a scam and manipulating his numbers so he gets paid more in bonuses for faster times he never earned.

Sir I am not trying to make CHINA look stupid. they make the self stupid with out my help. I sorry no dis respect this what I am on about I ordered from UBI SOFT ONLINE STORE WATCH DOGS 2 WRENCH JR ROBOT had it on sale for BLACK FRIDAY its MADE IN CHINA I waited well over a week for UPS to deliver it then UPS hand it over to USPS that is UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE then waited a week in a half. it all most a month for for delivery. Finlay i got it. I open up the box install the batteries 6 AA Batteries then there is a OP BAR CODE. that is not a bar code. there is no bars just square dots I downloaded 12 O.P bar code scan apps for my phone to download a fake app that dose not download. then I have to research a 3rd party download that took a lot of time. I got it installed. ok great I turn on the WRENCH JR ROBOT the good sign the red lights turn on. then I get to my BLUETOOTH settings on my phone turn on bluetooth and hit scan to scan for bluetooth devices I got a error no blue tooth devices found. OH SHIT the robot is dead then I ordered two more on ebay from a dealer in CANADA I wasted two weeks both of them have the same dead bluetooth on the robots UBI soft hire UPS to send it USPS to deliver it so that I loose the time for return and ebay seller send me two more dead ones. not his fault. that seller in CANADA refund my money and did not ask me to send it back. UBI SOFT let me wait well over a month demanded me to mail it in with my own monay and had over $30.00 wit h a sales slip that UBI SOFT got it a copy of it them self. I am nopt going to pay UBI $90.00 and shipping both ways to replace three dead robots that is MADE IN CHIINA . If he was looking for it he would have found it even with a truck over flowed with boxes. Im a fed ex driver and if I ever get a package from another route on my truck I obviously would only realize when I'm done for the day and the driver who's is missing that package would have to go into the scanner and press the button that says it's not on his truck but on his manifest and the next day it would be on his truck cause I would but it on the belt for the loaders to see.

    I'm a UPS driver and this video interest me. Access Points (which is what your gas tank was diverted to) and lockers are meant for signature required packages that aren't delivered on the first attempt. It's to keep UPS from having to pay us to go back two more times for nothing. When that happens UPS actually loses money on that package. Not all packages are eligible for that service though. Some customers like the option because they can go get the package without worrying about the driver coming back while they are work. Some don't. The Amazon tracking info you showed in the vid was supposed to be in addition to receiving an info notice from the driver on your door, gate, whatever telling you where the package was diverted to. If you were to show that footage to UPS it, along with their own technology, would prove that the driver was dishonest (a cardinal sin at UPS) and they'd be dealt with. Those GPS points are more precise than you think. UPS can see that scans were made but none of the points were near the house. That capability is just a small part of what all UPS can see. They can also be used to put false claims against us to rest. Don't for a second think that driver represents how the rest of us are. In fact, I can say ( because of my 20+ years at UPS and having worked for one of the FedExs too) that your typical UPS driver are the best at what we do. FedEx Express drivers are a close second but with a much lighter work load with everyone else lagging far behind. And its not that they are all POS employees. Man, I could tell you stories about FedEx Ground and Amazon drivers. Allot of its because of poor training. Some of its because people simply don't care. The basics to getting them all delivered are to leave out of sight and weather if possible, ring the bell, and knock. Doing those things drastically reduces the chances of the things in your video from happening. I honestly don't know why anyone would do anything dishonest knowing that there are cameras EVERYWHERE now. I'd say 90% of the houses on my route have them.

  • @lydonodowd9831
    @lydonodowd9831 3 роки тому +3

    As a UPS driver I highly doubt he had a big bulk package taking up his truck and he didn't want to deliver it. What is more likely is that he pulled over and tried to locate your package in his fully loaded truck. Unfortunately what probably happened was the loaders from the building loaded your package onto a different truck and this driver just waisted valuable time looking for your package just to find out he doesn't even have it. The problem is the driver across town who now has your package is supposed to deliver it when he is done with his own route. That is where the lazy ones might scan it as missed/ not in so they don't have to drive across town just to driver 1 package.

  • @nylonpython
    @nylonpython 5 років тому +11

    I work for UPS, If i was to guess what happened(since every location is different in every single large company) is that the driver saw your gate 4:46 and didn't think he could get through it. I have trouble believing that a car part would be the thing a driver wouldn't want to deliver since they're usually big and not very heavy. Also if a driver gets done early UPS just assigns them more work. As far as package shipping if your package requires a signature we can't leave it anywhere if you aren't home, if it does not we can just put it anywhere on your property(just most drivers will try to respect whatever posted instructions you leave out.

So I asked what email was used to log on, which IP address was used. Still waiting on the Fraud dept. to respond. But I will have to sue as someone targeted me using their knowledge of the company’s operations. That’s scary.

    I work for UPS. It’s a lot tougher than I thought. I thought you’d have a few clean little packages and you go home after 8 hours. But no, it’s an average 10 hour day dispatched. As far as not wanting do deliver the big stuff??? We try to get that out the truck ASAP because it gets recycled back into the truck the next day. And nobody wants a truck so full you can’t even see the back door. Sorry this happened to you and hopefully it doesn’t happen again!

    Thanks for cleaning out that it wasn’t your regular ups driver. I’m a ups driver and take my route very seriously, as all the packages are my own. I cover with plastic bags when the weather isn’t cooperating, I never throw nor toss packages, and etc. I do realized that some of the ups drivers are so lazy, not trying hard enough to do the job the right way... it is shame that our customers have to deal with some of the idiots... yesterday, I’ve dropped off a package at a wrong address, of course not knowing... sometimes the gps isn’t accurate enough ( could missed the house or the place by building or two) we do make mistakes sometimes. And custoemer called my center for looking for the package since it was recorded that it was delivered. I drove back 5 miles to pickup the package and delivered to the right customer. Of course it was my fault... I’ve explained the situation to my customer about me being a new driver to his area and apologized. He was happy that I owned the mistake.
    Make a long matter short, many of us UPS drivers are hard working people. too bad some of the idiots are making us look bad.

    As a long ago former UPS driver I will say this- the driver in the video was wrong and most likely very lazy. I am amazed at the drivers in my own neighborhood that complain how hard they have it. We had a guy that would drive his truck into a barn on his route, jack up the rear of the truck and then let the tires spin to rack up mileage. He was caught doing it and fired for it. I will say this, the driver in this video is a one off as there are bad apples in every business, but on the whole 98% of the drivers work their back sides off and do a good solid job every day. UPS doesn't tolerate this kind of thing. Drivers like this give the rest a bad rap.

  • @roseryba355

    These are the hard numbers. My husband, an Ups driver for 25 yrs delivered more than 1,950,000 packages, 1,100,000 stops and had only 2 residential pkgs complaints, both being his fault and delivering to the wrong address. UPS made these customers whole with free delivery and replacement of lost packages. Yes you my find a bad seed in the apple but finding a bad apple very hard to do. The accountability for the daily work load is 100%. Any suspicious behavior is questioned and dealt with the next day.
    These men make over $100,000.00/yr, pay no health care premium for full dental, medical and vision coverage. The majority of drivers will retire with a fully funded monthly pension of $3,500.00 to
    $4,300.00. most will have 401K funds in excess of $500,000.00
    I sincerely doubt any driver would give this up for your apple watch.

    Ups employee here. He could’ve checked the package and not found it. Another driver could’ve found it and left it at boost mobile for you. It’s not easy to fire a ups driver either, at the worst they get talked to about it. We get paid by the hour, walking over to your house with a box doesn’t hurt anyone. I don’t mind taking 100lb packages to doors and on a regular basis I keep packages out of street view. As for any issues you encounter, you can call the local center and get the assistance you would like. Theft is an issue sure but your frustration with few and proceeding to label a company and all employees lazy isn’t going to solve anything. I’m as friendly as I can be with everyone I meet and deliver to, I enjoy my job and work very hard to make sure I’m earning my pay and getting customers their packages, I’m out at 11pm daily making sure every one of the 500+ boxes in my truck makes it to the house it needs to get to. Drivers have 4 jobs at least that they need to do if anyone was wondering if we only drive from house to house all day and somehow forgot we get a ton of business activity that we need to attend to at two specific points in the day.

    Located in a small rural town, My old UPS man was great. The replacement driver , not so great, and what an attitude! I live 800 yards off a highway, long one curve drive way. There is a metal cattle gate on the entrance, but it is not closed. Anyway, I have propane truck, gravel trucks, fed ex, DHL, and my old ups driver delivered to my home. Now the rub, couple of examples. First ordered a $700. smart phone, following tracking, waiting at home for it. Nothing.... then later that evening it shows on tracking, delivered to porch. We were home all day, with the doors open! We go on a frantic search, front porch, back porch, work shop, yard, Nothing. We called the shipper and it was delivered, driver placed it on the porch. Nope, next day we found it. He had put in the US postal mail box on the county road. I called ups and complained. Next delivery was even worse, I came home from work, and he had "placed it in the middle of my driveway entrance and closed the cattle gate. Again I called UPS. Thats not home delivery. The Driver stops by my house, in his truck to inform me, that he will no longer drive to my house, due to the distance from the road, (800 yards, graveled driveway) Also he would not drive down the drive way due to the trees, which may damage his truck. (funny, the old driver could make it okay) Then I was told "from now on, you can just go to the local gas station, I will drop them off there" Oh, no...I do not know them, people coming and going, who is responsible for my stuff? why should I drive to get my stuff when Im paying for home delivery. I again call UPS, thought the nerve for him to tell me what he was going to do. By the way my driveway delivery was okay, but the rain had soaked the boxes bad. USP informed me, due to the driver stating my distant location, Tree damage, and gate, (which was never closed) he could not deliver. I would need to drive 30 miles to a warehouse to get my items or arrange alternate delivery location. What Bull. And if you ebay, confirmed address, you have to contact UPS, and for a charge$$$ they will deliver it else where. I informed them that this was just pay back for calling him on his delivery performance complaint. But UPS believes the driver.
    I get out the chain saw, literally have to stand on my truck to trim the trees. So I have a 16 foot gate, 12 foot wide road and tree trimming done. Call UPS and tell them this. Nope.... you still have to drive and pick up your stuff. Rather mad, I stopped buying from people whom shipped UPS. Was having better results with United States Postal.
    Surprised! one day a brown UPS truck come down my driveway. A car part was shipped, and delivered . I did not know the driver and I commented that I was not suppose to get deliveries and repeated the story. He replied Bull***, He was a manager that was filling in on this day. He stated that I would get my ups home delivered.
    Okay, life is good, right, I order vehicle struts off ebay, lets try this again. I come home and yes they delivered, but not on the porch, I had to get out and move the stuff from the drive way, literally 20 feet from the house. I asked my wife about why she put it there. She said the driver drove in, opened the door, threw it on the ground and left. Oh well, that would be the end of the story, except it was the wrong fit on the parts. I tried to box it back up, but they were so destroyed from shipping there was not much box left. I had to rebox, then put the old box on the exterior because the company would not take it back if it was not in the factory box. Done Right? nope
    Could not get credit until it was returned, inspected. I go to the UPS store to ship back. still had the first label on box, with the costs. What the hell? They were going to charge me around $60 to return ship. The printed label showed around $20 when I got it. Forget this, I went to fed ex and shipped it for $30.

    As a UPSer, I've lugged microwaves and treadmills and such up 4th story walk-ups while the resident avoids opening the door to accept the package. Just outta laziness. however, I've been on both ends of this situation because I was expecting a shipment of a PC and it was supposedly attempted. However the UPSer wasn't even on my street. According to the surveillance system around the neighbourhood, they were next to my street the entire time. I definitely reported that. Now I work for UPS and I can honestly say that it's a draining job. The difference is that I actually do my best on the job. I don't lie about attempted delivery. The preloaders RARELY pack the truck correctly, so drivers aren't always able to find the package. If I can't find someone's package, I'll come back when I do find it. I never leave any packages in plain sight, I'll put it in the back and leave a note as to where I placed it and what I've placed. I always put customers first because I wanna be treated well too. I dislike when some people assume that blue collar workers are all crappy people due to the crappy job. This video seems to be clickbait because it's not a scam. At all. Then some will put “ Not in 1 “ which means an attempt was made but in reality someone screwed up and didn’t get the package on the truck. In case nobody has satisfied your answer as to why you received a notice saying it was attempted, I’ll explain it super clearly. I’ve worked at UPS for many years as a manager and a driver. Here’s what happened. The driver in the video did not stop to ping a GPS location, and FYI we can’t scan/ ping while the vehicle is on, it’s against safety regulations and there’s a computer that reports if we do that. The driver more than likely looked for your package and couldn’t find it. Given that it was around Thanksgiving it was probably some random seasonal helper who has no idea what to do and didn’t communicate that he couldn’t find the package. TRUST ME, allllll drivers want to get rid of anything that’s big and irregular, I’d be banging your door down to get rid of that gas tank. Anything we don’t get rid of means we have to see it for the next two days. So here’s what happened: Your package was on a wrong truck and the driver who had it probably didn’t report it cuz it’s thanksgiving and he didn’t want to drive all across town so he could go home later than what he already was. He went back to the building late, put your tank on the belt when nobody was looking and when a supervisor found it he made a clerk scan you package as “attempted” and that send it to the access point. Clerks have a scanner on their computers that can put exceptions on packages.. Trust me, this is the most probable reason. EVERY package a ups has to be scanned at the end of the day. Supervisors, including myself at one point, get threatened and fired if these things happen. Supervisors don’t have the union to protect them , they get fired for any reason. So when it’s 945pm on thanksgiving week naturally he’s gonna ask a clerk to scan it with whatever reason as long as it gets scanned. It’s all a chain effect. The underpaid kid who loaded the truck messed up, which leads the drivers to get behind, which then puts supervisors in a binde to do whatever to protect their jobs. As a UPS driver all I have to say is that you’re completely wrong about a driver being lazy and not wanting to take big packages off the truck! THATS ABSOLUTELY WHAT WE WANT!!! Those packages take up space! Sometimes we break off our planned routes to get bigger parcels off so we can move in that truck! And to those who say we’re lazy and underpaid I challenge you to come get on that truck and do what we do..it’s a reason we’ll soon be at $40 an hour..underpaid? Yea it should be more I agree lol

    Hi, It is not a scammer. I am a former UPS driver for 31 years.
    I can answer for what has happened to me as a driver.
    The handheld device driver scan packages with(DIAD) is uploaded with all packages that are supposedly loaded in package car.
    The DIAD has delivery order. Stop for stop. I have pulled up to house that DIAD directed me to go to next. Open up door to back to get package. There is no package anywhere for that stop. Then you have to send info to your center thru DIAD.
    The package is still at UPS building/center.
    The center finds package and brings to access point to avoid a missed package.

    Lmaoooo My sister is a UPS driver and my mom is a UPS OMS supervisor and my dad drives freight for UPS so I know more then enough to tell you you’re more then likely wrong with this situation. and there is a chance maybe you have a lazy driver but more then likely your package was what is called a miss load which is where it’s put on the wrong package truck...you’re driver wasn’t sitting there to be “pinged” at your location he was probably in the back of the truck digging for your package.... those trucks are loaded like shit and the drivers have to literally dig around sometimes on the floor of their trucks to find packages for people and they all are on a time limit so he wouldn’t have been sitting there for more time then he needed if he had your package on his truck. that truck doesn’t need to be stopped to be pinged somewhere it’s tracked every second so you saying he was stopped to be pinged is wrong 😂 the only thing you’re right about is he did rip you off by saying an attempt was made to deliver because he never got out of his truck he more then likely couldn’t find it and marked it wrong instead of marking it as an attempt it should have been marked as not found and called in to his dispatching center and reported. And in all honesty since this was thanksgiving week you probably did have a seasonal driver who didn’t know exactly what he or she was doing and just did what they thought was maybe right. So stop being petty and let people do their damn jobs without you automatically jumping to the conclusion that it’s a scam.

    As far as UPS, when I lived in a particular area (a nice area) they didn't even ring the door bell. They just stuck something on my door. In some cases UPS didn't come to my door. They left a note on the mail box. Very few times they rang the door bell. When they did, and I knew that I expected a package, I would run to the door and say, "who is it?" I would open the door and just that fast, a note was placed on my door with no delivery man in sight. Sometimes I would hurry down the stairs and the UPS truck would be pulling off. I know he heard me yelling to stop!! Did they have a flash-back of running the marathon? Did they suddenly go deaf? Did they keep their truck running because in less than 40 seconds they were gone. It seem to be a game with some. Now the area that I live in now (another nice area), I have always received my packages from UPS. All UPS employees aren't bad. It's not the area that you live in either. It always according to what type of person is delivering. Call the corporate office and flood them with complaints.......expect a turnaround.

    I am a driver for UPS. This does really suck. I hate lazy drivers. Depending on the package type we are allowed to not deliver it if it’s too heavy. And I feel I am at risk of hurting myself. He could have been having a bad day. I’m sorry to hear about that. I always make an attempt. Just the other day I had a 145 pound weight set that I delivered to a second story apartment. The people were out on the porch watching me. I brought it all the way up 3 flights of stairs and unloaded it. They then decided to tell me they no longer wanted it..... and did not offer to help me bring it down and just stood and watched me bring it down. Some people are very rude and some drivers are lazy. I’m sure your regular driver would never do that and on behalf of my fellow teamster brothers and sister I’m sorry that happened to you. Hopefully you will continue to use our services. The belt is fully packed with packages ranging from tiny gift card boxes to huge roll up mattresses, tire sets, weights (I loaded a god damn bowflex machine), and while all those things are flying by because you're humping a washer machine into just ONE of your FOUR trucks to pull for and load because 3 or 4 people on your line called off that day, yeah...it was simply a mistake and not a personal attack on you. There's a lot of good delivery drivers, but there are a lot of lazy ones as well. I did a seasonal position as a driver this past holiday season. I actually don't mind it when a house has a camera system set up, because if one is doing there job properly in the first place then there is nothing to worry about. IMO the cameras help ensure drivers aren't f**king around. As well, from what I understand the volume of parcels seems to be increasing on an annual basis, while the capacity to deliver packages timely and efficiently seems to be getting stretched thin. Not that it should be an excuse, but I get the feeling companies like UPS and FedEx might need to figure something out to adapt to the ever growing demand of parcels being ordered on a regular basis. The center I was working out of is quite small (rural) compared to other ones, and I can remember one day in December where we literally got in 20,000+ parcels. The entire facility was full of actual mountains of packages. It was a madhouse. My boss who always had a chill demeanor, it was the only time I could see panic in his eyes. We all pulled through in the end, but it was a VERY LONG day for us all. Hopefully a larger facility can be located or constructed to handle the increasing demand in the future.

We were in a rush and just chose the UPS second day air shipping label. My friend actually grabbed it, I didn’t see all the options there were. I would’ve probably just picked the grounds option because that is always cheaper. AnyWho, the item only weighed 3.5 ounces and someone that worked for UPS scribbled in that it weighed 8 pounds therefore I got charged $92.92 for an item that should’ve only been $10-$20 to ship. If I would’ve known that , I would’ve thrown the damn $25 pocket knife in the garbage and bought another one at Menards lol. There’s nothing you can do about it. Once they pull the money, I’ve talked to customer service. Never forget to write the weight in on the label! UPS is Grimey!!

There is no way in hell our Diads just bing when we get to our destination of delivery lol we literally have to pull up to the house go to the back scan your box(s) then driver release or get a signature. If they can't get a signature the driver has to make a second attempt the following day after the 3rd day the customer has to pick up the package at a local ups hub. This is 3rd UPS package this happened here with one return to sender one over 2 weeks late and now this one. I never have this problem with Amazon on track or Fed Ex so either the UPS route driver or his branch are at fault…. I am going to start insisting delivery by anything but UPS going forward even USPS does a better job of delivering to my address in reasonable time
