Bro I admit I watched this video and I didn’t listen, and still applied for UPS, everything your saying is true, we watched some bs old vids & it was basically stressing that safety is the #1 priority, taking good care of a package, read labels of the package for the weight, to prepare yourself to lift with your legs etc....as soon as the supervisor took us to the working area it was chaos,,, boxes all over the floor, boxes opened, ripped etc... I was later assigned to a trailer, to help another guy unload the packages,,,, as me and the supervisor walked up to the guy I was going to help,, the guy is literally pulling packages from the middle of the wall, letting it all drop, even packages that had a handle with care label on it,,, the supervisor didn’t say a word after we just watched a video stating to take care of the packages, he even said it himself to do so,,,,, so I’m working with the guy,, unloading packages,, but each package I’m reading for the weight to lift accordingly with my legs,,, the supervisor comes back and says “you’re doing great but I need you to pick up the pace” so the guy tells me to just throw the packages on the belt with the label facing up or foward,,, so that’s exactly wat I end up doing,,, throwing ppls package on the belt,, letting it fall on the floor etc.. as soon as I finish helping the guy, he assists me to another trailer to help someone else,,,,, I swear the trailer was a mess,,, packages filled throughout the whole trailer,, stacked to the the ceiling,, so after me and the guy finished,, I was completely drained especially after the supervisor kept telling us to move faster,,, and since I couldn’t lift with my legs for every package because speed was more important to him,,, my back was destroyed,,, I didn’t complain at all tho, and I didn’t give up,,,,, so after that trailer I was about ask the supervisor if i can at least drink some water really quick,,, but immediately he assigns me to a trailer for me to do alone,,,,, my whole body was sore, legs were burning, back aching etc... I still pushed myself and didn’t complain, when I finished he said I did good work today and wanted me to come in at 4:30am tmrw,,,,, keep in mind this was my very first day of training,,, I’m slim, no visible muscles but I’m not fat either, and I immediately knew that job wasn’t for me,,,, I thought because of the time you uploaded this that it wouldn’t be like this now & times might have changed since the time you worked there,,,, BUT PAY ATTENTION PPL,,,,, ITS 2019 & EVERYTHING HE SAID IN HIS LAST VIDEO & THIS ONE IS STILL 100% ACCURATE,,, MY UPS LOCATION WAS 641 WEST 43rd STREET Manhattan, Ny,,, AND ON MY VERY FIRST DAY OF TRAINING THEY SHOWED, THEY DONT CARE ABOUT YOUR PACKAGE OR YOUR WELLBEING,,,, I HAVE WORKED ALOT OF JOBS BUT IN THAT ONE DAY IN UPS,,, I HAVE NEVER FELT MORE LIKE A SLAVE!!
That's really fucked up, tbh. I'm sorry you had to deal with that. I personally don't mind physical labor. This is my first job, and I just want to get some work experience in and make some money atm. My supes are mostly chill, and once you're in the union after 30 days, your supervisor can't tell you to move faster. To respond to your supe, I'd say, "I'm working as fast and safe as I can".
i worked there for 3 weeks. I was motivated to be a driver really . unfortunately it took my dog dying last week (god rest her soul) to see the big picture... that its not a job for me. my knees hurt and i had a strange pain in my bicep. My back hurt really. im young im 20, and my body felt sore as hell the bad sore, the sore where your back is in pain and my foot was cramping bad. just it was so much, especially when i had to load the E rigs, really moving and lifting 75-150 LBS stuff is back braking . we usually do it after the conveyor belt stopped.
This video is legendary. I had to come back almost ten years later to watch it again. The night I quit ups I skipped work cause I couldn’t handle the insane demands and watched this and your other video. Lol. I was in my car dying laughing cause it was the exact experience I had while working there. Best decision I ever made was quitting ups.
Id like to thank everyone who finds the humor in my videos enjoyable and the one's who have worked for UPS and agreed with my views. If you don't agree that's fine with me. These videos are for partial entertainment, but mostly for informative purposes. I don't expect anyone to take me 100% seriously.
OMG dude. Thank you sooooo much! I really needed that! You had me laughing so fuckin hard I was cryin & couldn't breathe!!! Thanks for fuckin up everyone's dream job workin at UPS, CONGRADUFUCKINLATIONS!!! LOL :-)
You explained the video clearly about how much UPS sucks shit and I am very happy that I watched this video and I back you up 100% bro! I hope everything is going great for you Jake! :)
@@idontknowwhattoputhere.3572 Benefits, higher starting pay and potential to career (Driver). Also I've been out of the job market so with no job history/experience I didn't have many options. I have a clean record but imagine if you are a Felon, you have so few options. UPS isn't that bad all things considered. Just keep track of your time bc SUPs fudge their numbers by stealing your time.
or knew someone who got the a better position where they weren't breaking their backs. I don't give a damn what these people are saying you get tired after awhile you cannot keep a fast pace after a few hours
this guy is telling the truth. I worked at ups and hated every minute being on their clock. the management were sleazy and toxic people. modern day slavery at its finest. hardest work youll do in 3 and a half hour shift. bringing home barely 200 bucks a week. plus union fees. gotta wait at least four years before you can become a package car driver and eternity to become a truck driver for them. shitty job. hell basic combat training was easier than working at ups. shit being in the military full time was easier labor and less bullshit than working for ups. I rather do 4 more years of military life than go back and work for ups. I quit that bullshit and enlisted at a time of war and certain deployment than work at that bullshit and keep breaking my fuckin back for pennies while getting treated like shit by lazy nobodies
Holy shit, this is 100 percent true. I really wish it wasn't but it is. Worked for UPS 11 plus years. For the last 3 years, I quit working hard, I just work.
I feel yeah man, I worked there for almost 10 years while in college. Glad you go out. I recently saw some UPS drivers and they said the company is a nightmare.
My son worked at the Apollo Pa hub for about 2 years... He filed grievances against the company and the Union Rep did nothing... The Union is IN BED WITH THE COMPANY!!! They eventually fired him and the SO CALLED UNION DID NOTHING!!!! I thought the Unions were for the WORKING MAN!!!
This is all true, unfortunately. I've been working at UPS for about 2 weeks now and I can already feel the toll on my body. I'm bruised, sore, cut, scraped, and my back hurts, too. They only care about productivity, they really don't care about your well being or if you lift packages properly. People get mad at me if I take a couple seconds to bend at the knees and lift a 65 pounds package that's on the floor. People just throw packages, let them fall and get crushed, etc. They also don't use load stands. Everything that I was taught during training is not applied by anyone who is meeting the package quota. Literally no one uses load stands, lifts by the knees, or places the packages on the belt. They lift at the back, yank stuff off the top and cause packages to come crashing down, and they just throw packages onto the belt. It's all about speed and productivity, nothing else. Most of the time you can't really use the bathroom or really stop to take a drink because they want you to be constantly moving packages. You get a measly 10 minute break for the 4 hour work period, which is practically non stop. I also get conflicting information from supervisors and other employees about how to unload and everything. My first paycheck was $35. That included 2 hours of computer training (supposedly paid, no mention of how much, exactly), and approximately 4 hours of actual unloading. If we were to divide the $35 by the 6 hours I worked, that equates to about $5.83 and hour, which is pathetic and below minimum wage. I supposedly get 10.20 an hour but I probably got paid peanuts for training and most of my paycheck went towards the $150 Union initiation fee. Problem is you can't utilize the Union benefits like healthcare until you work there for a full year. I'm really considering quitting but I quit my last job after 2 weeks too and I don't want to disappoint my parents or hurt my chances at getting hired by another company. At the same time I don't want to injure myself either by lifting too many heavy packages or by inhaling all of the dust in the trailers. It sucks... No wonder why the turnover rate is so bad.
erich ackerman flores man up! I understand your pain but everyone who made it to drivers went through the exact same thing. You think you're rhe only one over there that is hurting! You think they are just going to give you free insurance and 80-100k+ a year as a driver without working. No, they are going to make you work for it. Listen to what you said" i quit my last job after 2 weeks too" ! It might be a pattern with you! Someone always told me McDonalds is always hiring!!!!I know its miserable but try to stick ot out if you even still there
Again, 100% correct. I'm actually an amateur bodybuilder and keep in shape year round. This job is NOT like a workout. This job is like nothing I've ever heard of, there are no pluses. If you can stand being disrespected and talked down to then you'll probably make it. I do not disrespect my co workers and will not accept disrespect in return. I actually walked off this job after two months. The way we are treated as we load those trucks shouldn't be legal. I could go on and on about this but this guy is not a pussy, he's 100% on point.
Im a driver and have never seen my loader treated bad. He's been on my truck for a yr now and never complains. Even now during peak. I help as much as possible..
This is truth. I go to the gym 5 days a week. i don't care how big your arms are, what you can squat and deadlift. None of the matters when you get in that fucking truck. This will kick your ass and make you want to puke, no mater how much of a 'bro" you are.. Those who say it don't are lying and have EGO problems. This is nothing like working out. You will be lifting 30 pounds, but for 4000 reps. you will be doing 300 squats a day. So fuck what you can bench..lol this will beat your ass!
At the UPS I worked at I did unloading and no one gave a shit. We just talked and Unloaded at a slow pace and at times my supervisor would go in the trailers with us and we'll talk or listen to music xD
billy crystal I just throw that shit on the belt. I'm sorry for the people who get their stuff shipped with UPS. But I want to keep my job. If my boss is going to yell at me and threaten to fire me if I go to slow, I don't follow any rules.
He is telling truth. I had tour/interview and I shocked when we heard the pay and the work amount you do. Fuck UPS....Slave and Slave... You have to unload 1200 in hour... and you have to load 800-900 per hrs. Some expects you to do more.
I only yell because I'm passionate about what I'm speaking. Plus it's just my style of rant. I mean I could just talk about it but the impact is far less. (:
Lmfao dude, I love you man. I'm sitting in my car dying laughing at this. Thanks for sharing, you're right. It is slave work and nothing like the videos they show during orientation.
@@d60175 yeah, but they make you wait almost a year for those benefits and pay you less than a living wage. The competition is fierce for the driving spots and the pressure is intense. The expectations are way too damn high and they don't cut anyone any slack. I've seen this with my own eyes in my experience there. At this point I'm having to work another job to make ends meet so I work 7 days a week. I get up at 3:15 Am and work until 8:30 or 9 and then go home and shower and go to my next job and stay for 8+ hours. UPS at this point is just getting paid chump change to workout. That's it. As soon as a full time position opens on my other job I'm putting in a two week notice at UPS
You are absolutely right, it's a complete "Ponzi scheme". Yes, it is an entry-level position, but that doesn't change the fact that the handlers are overworked, and the drivers are overpaid. Paying someone 40 bucks an hour, with not education to deliver a package is ridiclous, especially when much of the time they are being paid overtime on top of that.
I can relate to this guy 100%. Both with the company and the trolls who call anyone questioning working conditions “pussies”. I worked at UPS for only 2 years back when I was 18 (39 now). One thing I remember is them sending “Total Gym(s)” through the normal sort belt. However these things weighed about 80 or so pounds and according to union rules, anything over 75lb was to be sent through the irregular system (forklift/team lift) but these UPS fuck heads would unleash trailer after trailer of these things through the sort system and I had to houser these things up all by my lonesome. I was a stupid teen with a positive attitude and that’s what this predatory company likes. If you work at UPS long term, expect to have health issues.
This guy is right! I worked a couple days at the UPS in Toronto and I fucking quit that shit. The money is shit, the older workers slack because they've been kissing the supervisors ass for years, and the new guys are the ones that's stuck doing all the fucking work. Not only that but these people tried to tell me I couldn't take any kind if vacation for 6 months because they wanted me to be there for the Christmas rush so they can work me like a fucking slave. UPS takes advantage of desperate people that really need a job. They pray on those that think they won't get another job anywhere else.
StillAReal1 Thanks for the heads up. I was this close to proceeding in processing my application here in Toronto. I wanted to know more about UPS and the job position, so I came to UA-cam and got a world of enlightenment. Thank you for the info and thank you Jake for all the insightfulness.
I'm currently training for a loader position at the Toronto hub. I feel the opposite way though. I'm actually a little intrigued by all the complaints and worries in the sense that I'll soon enough know first-hand if it's really all it's disparaged for. The thing is, even if I can handle it it seems rational enough to choose an easy shit job for shit pay over a hard shit job for shit pay. I'd rather work as a grocery clerk for instance, even if the pay progression may be non existent. This ain't a career after all, I'm just doing this while pursuing school.
The younger ones are naïve so they go 110% thinking they'll move up or something, its ridic sometimes. They forget they get paid by the hour not by the package lol.
Damn, this video is 6 years old and what you're saying is still true. I had an accident while unjamming the chute in loading and reported it. I had to take a minute and sit down but they didn't want me losing my PPH. When I finally saw the doctor I was diagnosed with a concussion. When I called in and told them the diagnosis it turned out that my supervisor didn't record my injury or tell anyone so I had to deal with the manager and the warehouse rep. It's still a gong show 3 weeks into my injury. They had a ton of excuses of why it wasn't handled properly. You have to get HR and WCB involved or they will be dismissive of your injury.
I'm working at UPS currently and you just confirmed my suspicions. Definitely not trying to retire there. It's true they are hypocrites tell you one thing then tell you the polar opposite right after.
Arrogant company at times hopelessly so. Lives entirely in its own orbit, pays well but prepare to be bullied daily, relentless overworked and treated like children. Most leave I have never seen such a high turn over in staff to be honest.
I quit because it was too much on my body it caused me to have terrible headaches, bad back pains, numb arms and chest pains, I was 100 lbs being 5'3, my health was more important than package handling. He is right about everything. I was scrolling though the comments and saw that I commented 3 years ago, I had forgot I did.
Another thing, the way your talking, is EXACTLY the same rage filled attitude I have when people ask me "How was working at UPS?" OR even worse people who have never worked there, talked to ONE person who i usually a driver and says "Oh its so great!" I always fly off the handle when people say that shit. And i am normally a calm person!! UPS gave me PTSD just working there. Ever since working for them I have become very defensive and paranoid of every employer I have. Thank you so much for the video!! I cant tell enough people about it but you can!! THANK YOU!!
I just started & I left the same week cause the toll it's taking on your body is not worth $150-$170 weekly and you have to keep a speed up when other people moving slower than you
I definitely understand how you feel I just started working at FedEx and I already hate it the managers like to talk shit and they want to slave you for crumbs.
success does not come easy> Did you not creep before you walk. work at ups for 18 years now it has a millitary training atmosphere. UPS history shows that the company was mostly millitary men.
@@d60175 what I'm sorry I get it u love ur job but that's not military this is slave labor breaking down your body for barely 140 a week military take care of you and your family..disrespectful to compare
@@TriWaZe Yeah you got to report everything when it happens and get it documented before you leave the building. If you do get hurt, ask for your Steward and he'll get u the paperwork started with management if hes worth his salt.
to be honest i didn't go man you should check it out just try it bro, because i didn't even know my cousin work there a year ago and yes in 30 minutes you will get tired already, just think about it man because i haven't try it so i just apply for another job
wait wait wait. You guys listen to one man's exp and that's enough to turn tail and run from a job opportunity? The fact is you are either not employed or underemployed. You might have liked the job and it would have paid bills. It could have been a bench warmer for a better job when you found it or you might have decided the pay was good. Oh well
honeybun33 dude I worked at the docks for years. No way they are working you as hard as they were me and they didn't even pay half that amount. Thats the corporate world for you. But I got a family and I'll take the BS for them/
Bro I’ve worked at ups since 2013 but I go on this page like every few months cause this shit can’t be made up . It’s so true but you explain it so funny . Good job man . I need this to survive. 👍🏽
I didn't start watching videos about working at UPS until I started working there. I work there now as a package handler and it's horrible. I'm at the end of the first belt and have two heavy trucks to load meanwhile..... I constantly have to remove packages that other people before me have missed and let go by... ON TOP OF having to move heavy ass packages that belong on second belt and not mine. I will say this though, when management gets there one of them will help me. But, I have learned that working at UPS is crazy and I don't plan no being there that long. It's wearing my body out and everyday I leave I hurt all over. Sometimes I have no choice but to throw packages because if I don't I will get further behind in loading the two trucks I have.
Sounds about right. All these years later and not much has changed. Despite all the money they bring in and the technology we have today. Sorry to hear about your experience.
Some advice, fall behind every time. Let them send help. You handle what you can realistically handle. Not this 150% bs. Steady pace you can maintain for 6hours. Spoiler, they'll send help.
I worked at UPS Package Loader and Quit the 1st week they had me scan the package and load and build the wall Alone like if i was a machine and everything you said is totally true and well interpreted
I worked at UPS for 9 months and he’s absolutely right. I hated them damn regulators they was so heavy. During peak season the UPS I was at had label flippers they’re job was to put the labels up and when there were too many packages they stopped the belt they did that a lot of times and us unloaders always got mad with them always stopping the belt. During the summer time it was hot like being in an oven and I couldn’t breathe and was sweaty. UPS is not for everyone some people like it and some don’t.
I love it when you guys stop the belt. Hell, I love most of the sorters I work with except the ones that suck up to MNGMT and never stop the damn belt despite egress/jams etc. Good thing about Sorting, you have a ton of fans unlike Unload with only 1 that only reaches 4 feet into a 29ft trailer. Day-Sort during Summer is brutal, thats when I started.. literally went through 1 gallon jug 2.5-3x before break and another 2.5-3x after.
This guy is funny as f***...He needs his own TV show 💀⚰️. He went the f""k! in! And he spoke the truth about that sh*tty company. I hate UPS, Heck I don't even want them to deliver my package
Bro the moment I walked in I noticed how cocky everyone in there was because they can handle the work 😂 just like you said , and in my 5 days of being there I realized it wasn’t worth the pay working there. They say to bend your knees when lifting , which it’s correct, but the supervisor went in the trailer to rush me and he started throwing packages on to the belt fast as fuck and asked me why “ I was lagging it? “ ha ha he wasn’t bending his knees. I asked about a raise and they said I would get .50¢ raise after a year 😂 I was like waaaaaah? Lol imagine having to do that shit for a year just to se a .50¢ raise! they funny and more funny the people that accept the demands UPS places on them. Waste of time and damaging your body for minimum wage. Also that’s nothing like a Gym. For the record I can handle the work I just don’t want to , it feels like torture .
Lets not forget sometimes people will fall to their deaths trying to unstick the boxes on the treadmills. And you’ll just be replaced and be forgotten.
This video is 6 years old and still true. I didn’t get ANY training, watched maybe one video and didn’t even get into a class. They threw me on the line and excepted me to know how to load 3 fucking trucks my first day with no training. They gave me a 5 mins break and then back to slave work again. They didn’t tell me the times to come in and never told me how to do anything. I packed over 400 boxes my first day and felt like I was gonna die. The warehouse was beyond fucked up and seriously dangerous. I don’t know if I should stay but this shit ain’t gonna work. my back is killing me and feet are killing me. So many people get hurt and they don’t care. They don’t care about you well being or training. It’s all bs. Don’t work here.
The sad part, people at McDonald's make more money than people that work at a UPS hub. We had a guy that left McDonald's because he bought into the UPS recruiters lies just to quit shortly after a month and went back to McDonald's because he was making more money there.
PT vs FT so comparison is not fair. Also the McDs job they'll be working 1.5x-2 as long to make the same amount/hr as UPS. If you are working PT at UPS, you should probably have a 2nd source of income. 2 PT jobs (UPS) beats FT McDs easily esp with the free really good benefits. Just manage your body and keep track of your time bc UPS MNGT will try to screw your timeclock.
I worked as a ups unloader for almost 10 years while in college, finally figured out what I wanted to do, graduated and got out the hell of there with a pension and other perks. So glad I am not working there anymore, especially in the winter time. Almost ever driver I encounter says this company is a joke and a nightmare. I believe it. You are defiantly getting paid to workout but the constant demands were very unsatisfying. Glad you go out when you did man.
Wow this dude is telling the 100% truth. I worked there for five years and they are corrupt as shit! People need to quit acting like hard work matters because it doesn't. Hard work is a joke and you are a puppet if you act like it does
I've been at UPS for 10 years now and you are 100% except I am a girl and honestly when I loaded trucks for 5 years, some days I had OUTLET MALLS some days I had the industrial Park, yup all 5'6.5" of me handling packages that barely fit in the truck. It's not an easy job, and driving is even harder. I became a clerk 5 years ago and now I don't lift much of anything. The worst thing I do is rewraps & damages, and seriously it can be fucking gross. The worst part about UPS for me is the unrealistic expectations & the personalities - management and otherwise. I bring my radio and do my thing and it works for me. I have my bubble and no one really does or need to bother me. I know I got lucky with my position and it is experiences like this that UPS has the highest turn over rate. I'm sorry it didn't work out for you and that rude people feel the need to put you down. It's not an easy job and I'm glad you got it unscathed.
As a UPSr I watch these videos for therapy. Its good stuff. The SUPs treat us like robots. I dont take anything but I work at a steady pace unlike my idiot coworkers who go at a Flash pace and literally costing themselves money and health. Drink ton of water, good sleep and eat enough.
Hey buddy..so I viewed your previous video on your experience with UPS and I must say -- I agree with you -- on some of it. I've been with UPS for 12 years now and trust me when I say, I went through the exact same thing you did. I was hounded to go faster. Truth is, supervisors yell at you to go faster because full-time sups are yelling at them as well. They must meet a goal on an hourly basis. UPS operations is not for everyone and roughly 50-60% of each group of new hires either quit, get fired, or just never come back. I've done almost every job in the building over the years: loading, unloading, sorting, bulk, NDA and now I'm the CHSP Co-Chairman on the Safety Committee, run the mentorship program, and soon to be in the Marketing Dept. I don't blame you for speaking your mind because there is so much bullshit that goes down in the hub. It isn't easy but it does pay off the longer you stay. I have my bad days of course but today I must honestly say, I happy with my job. It's done great things for me. I hope you are happy with where you're at today. Thanks for sharing!
Ronny Franklin i just started yesterday and my supervisors were all talkimg me up. I bust my ass. I was raised on a tree farm growing christmas trees. All you millenials are a bunch of punk pussys anymore. Sad to say i am one. Lol. Its called bust your ass, youre getting paid to work out, kiss managements ass and suck the shit up until you get moved up. Then sit back and let the cash roll in. All i ever see is people crying about ups. If you cant hang then go get a desk job
1 year. Didn't take any but ate extra, drink extra water and lots of sleep. Drinking plenty of water during. Now I add a electrolyte table incase the shift goes long (I find closer to 6 hrs working hard I start to cramp bc lack of salt).
Where I work it really is now. They used to have about 4 to 4.5 hours to load 3 to 5 trucks of about 800 to 1200 pieces, now they have 3 to 3.5 so they make about 80 to 120 a week for their first 4 years. Pretty sad.
@@atenakehnaton3965 MNGMT will try to squeeze every ounce of labor out of you. The trick is to go at your own pace and be safe while doing it. Everything else is just noise.
ups is an odd job. it is one of the hardest jobs you can have. i load on my dock pd3 and i gotta say the strain on your body is insane. im no small guy im 6'2 260 and i leave ups every day at 5 am feeling like shit. people quit at my hub every single day because the work is too much. seniority rules is a big thing at ups. making the people who worked there a little bit longer have the choice of getting an easier job such as small sort or bulk. i watched a perfectly in shape bulk guy put a crate on the floor of are dock cuz the box was too fucking heavy for him i guess when it was barley over 100 that he couldnt put it on the grating telling the new guy who was about a buck ten to pick up the crate and put it on the grating. ups will work you like a fucking dog if you arent the person who has been there the longest. i went into ups with a class of 7 and withen 3 days i was the only one left. if ups didnt give raises every year and provide an increadable health plan no one would work at that job. if you wanna work at ups go ahead. ive been there for 6 months now and counting and i gotta say if youre under 170 good fucking luck. they made be pick up and carry a 155 lb spool to the end of a 52 foot trailer because they didnt want me to roll it. i dont recommend ups unless its your last option
I know a few guys working 15-20 years but they still doing Sort and Unload respectively. Yeah if I'm here in 5 years and not gotten a chance to Drive, idk what I am going to do lol. Good thing is, they don't get shit from SUPs and they making $33+ bc they've been here so long lol.
I agree I worked UPS for a year as a truck loader back in 1999. I did an average of 1,200-1500 boxes a shift. Being skinny is the best body type for the job. I eventually became belt sorter. That was even more stressful and I now have carpal tunnel now because of that job.
Skinny medium tall is best for loader. Fast enough to break jams and hit other trailers. Tall enough to stack packages on top. Loading still messes your back up unless you have an electric extendo (most of our loading are manual extendos).
LMAO i started ups about a week ago and ive worked at fedex amazon dhl and ups has been the worst experience unloading so far.. Literally different start times everyday you never know when you are going to leave, go past 5 hours being part time not even apart of the union yet. IM DONE LOL 5:21
"Human beings are not machines" i agree. More companies need to realize this. I can say Everything you said in this video for retail places. especially the stocker positions.
Coming back to this video and you still right. They had me handling 4 tanks and got mad at me when I couldn’t keep up with everything coming down one line smh
Matt Barnard At least you're not forced to join a union (Hence, you don't have to pay union dues), and you get paid more money at a dealership, as opposed to at UPS.
I worked as a loader for a courier company once. I quit after only three hours and then went down the street making more money and working less hard. Best decision I ever made!
Damnn Jake ! Appreciate the heads up man. I was going to apply there this week for some extra cash but for 10-11$ an hour to break my back..... FUUUUCK THAT ! I'm not trying to be permanently broken for moving other people's shit. If they paid more like 30-40$ an hour I could probably deal with the pain. NOT FOR $10 an hour. HELL NO! I'm all about hard work . $10 an hour doesn't feed the family or make a dent when you need back surgery. Thanks for the warning brotha !
Whoa. lol. Hilarious! Get those damn labels face up, DAMNIT! You made sure they were. Love the rant though. You do have a the gift of being spontaneous with talking, good voice and good looking. Start getting a bit more creative with your vid and I think you have found your future job.
Jeramy Dersam Man ups sucks, My arms got skinny, lost 2 nails, bleed and piles of boxes felt on me fk that shitt, fk supervisors and fk the hazardous shitt.
I was considering going to work for UPS because I heard the good drivers can make up to 75K. But I did not know there was a long waiting list just to become a driver. You have to be a grunt package handler making $9 an hour for years busting your ass! plus all the teamsters union bullshit, screw that! I'll go work for FedEx
I was an active duty army member (I'm not looking for appraisal) But taking this job at UPS made me feel like I was worth less...I was a truck driver in active duty, now im infantry in the national guard, the work I did at UPS made me feel worthless for what I am worth. Dont stoop this low
I'm trying to join the army to get out of this place. I feel like i'm wasting my life with working at ups. Back hurts, shoulder pops all the time now. They just act like i'm a dumbass for saying I want to join the army.
AndyRips hey man the army was the best choice I ever made, active duty was the best time I had in my life. It sucks at some points but you can make a comfortable living and have pride in what you do. UPS was giving me like 12 hours a week and It's ABSOLUTE slave work and their expectations are just inappropriate and unreal.
kylepressonsk8 yea way better life then working at ups, what you said sucks sometimes but overall not bad. Just gotta deal with being bored majority of the time
Corinthians Ministries what does believing in God have anything to do with UPS? If anything that place is Hell and i still work there but its better than nothing
Bro, I just did an interview on Thursday, and then a tour of the building Friday morning with the manager. You are so correct, UPS is an absolute shit show. There are so many better jobs out there lol
LMAOO. I died layging when you said the supervisor said "pick up the pace". I know you were like biiiitch😂 I can't stand UPS

I was thinking about working at ups, but nevermind. I left because of similar reasons, and bad management. Few issues with the customers though.
I work at UPS as a package handler, and the sad part is that this is all true...
i worked there for 3 weeks.
It honestly is.

I don't expect anyone to take me 100% seriously.

this guy is telling the truth.
Well now I know why all packages I get from UPS have come completely destroyed.
17 years in for me...it's gotten progressively worse since 2001
My son worked at the Apollo Pa hub for about 2 years...

💯 EXACTLY!!! the way they talk and treat people is borderline illegal.
That's right, I work there before, I walked....

People often ask me why preload gets paid peanuts. Simple. How do you think UPS affords to pay drivers $80-100k plus a year with incredible benefits?
Hei Hei because loading package cars is an entry level position. Why would you expect to get paid what they get paid?
ask yourself this... what other part time job gives you full time benefits that covers your wife and all your children. name me one please!
LMAO !!! I've been at UPS 18 years now. Everything you said is so true. You covered it all.

Preach brotha!
This is how I feel about these bs jobs.
Sad to hear. Sounds really rough. I’d get out of there if you can.

I've been working there for the past 6 months. And I quickly caught on to UPS' bullshit. This man speaks the truth!

I work at UPS currently and this man is absolutely correct. Everything he said in his videos was completely accurate. They expect machines not humans.

If you are working PT at UPS, you should probably have a 2nd source of income. 2 PT jobs (UPS) beats FT McDs easily esp with the free really good benefits. Just manage your body and keep track of your time bc UPS MNGT will try to screw your timeclock.
@@i_i89244 years ago goofy😂
this guy looks like a movie star
bro i just left that place im good
Gratz lol
Yeah I'm about to leave ups soon because of the pay and they keep moving me to much
I worked as a ups unloader for almost 10 years while in college, finally figured out what I wanted to do, graduated and got out the hell of there with a pension and other perks.
Hard work is a joke and you are a puppet if you act like it does
Jmndmb32 wow lol 😂
@@dbike80 those ups ceos must be raking in mad cash cuz they don’t pay the workers shit
*Hard work is rewarded with more work* , I believe thats how the saying goes.
It's not an easy job and I'm glad you got it unscathed.
this dude is a legend, listen to him haha
after 11 mins, he will be standing in 2 feet of spit
Dose of Boost he’s giving the news and the weather on this rant.
Lol
Sweat. Bring plenty of water. Drink plenty of water.
As a UPSr I watch these videos for therapy. Its good stuff. The SUPs treat us like robots. I dont take anything but I work at a steady pace unlike my idiot coworkers who go at a Flash pace and literally costing themselves money and health. Drink ton of water, good sleep and eat enough.
u should be a comedian...good entertainment
I love this dude. This dude is so true. My experience at FedEx is very similar
Ronny Franklin nice comment
Ronny Franklin i just started yesterday and my supervisors were all talkimg me up. I bust my ass. I was raised on a tree farm growing christmas trees. All you millenials are a bunch of punk pussys anymore. Sad to say i am one. Lol. Its called bust your ass, youre getting paid to work out, kiss managements ass and suck the shit up until you get moved up. Then sit back and let the cash roll in. All i ever see is people crying about ups. If you cant hang then go get a desk job
Ok Sylvester stalone
And you’re all broke down as fuck. Horray you’re rich but crippled. Super cool story bro. Tell it again
I work for em currently and I enjoy it. kinda rewarding at the end of the day. my management is pretty cool though, so it definitely depends.
Cause you are a girl.... Of course they treat the genders differently.

2 days in and ur right I’ve popped plenty of pain pills
1 year. Didn't take any but ate extra, drink extra water and lots of sleep. Drinking plenty of water during. Now I add a electrolyte table incase the shift goes long (I find closer to 6 hrs working hard I start to cramp bc lack of salt).
The passion in this video is amazing. Hilarious but also amazing. Salute to you brother for your honesty.
mcdonalds will soon be a better job than ups, mark these words.
Where I work it really is now. They used to have about 4 to 4.5 hours to load 3 to 5 trucks of about 800 to 1200 pieces, now they have 3 to 3.5 so they make about 80 to 120 a week for their first 4 years. Pretty sad.
Today in the year 2019 you are correct...they are pay 14-15 in my city
You aren’t wrong lol
Agreed
Shit makes no sense how tf ima be 4 places at once
Man U speaking facts!!! I just quit today it’s slave work to the fullest!!!
I just quit yesterday. Fuc* that company
You work at a DEALER SHIP .... LIVING THE DREAM
Matt Barnard LOL
Matt Barnard At least you're not forced to join a union (Hence, you don't have to pay union dues), and you get paid more money at a dealership, as opposed to at UPS.
Herb Cruz maybe? As a driver I’m making 110-116k a year. It’s fine with me!
Kevin Christoff liar
ivan d he ain’t lying.
I just quit yesterday walked out during 10min break lol, they better not fk up my check
Guarantee they did. Wouldn't be surprised if you had to reach out to DOL to get paid bc UPS will try to screw you on paying you.

Yea the warehouse is b.s
Just gotta deal with being bored majority of the time
lmfao!!!!!! this is funny, but now I'm scared I have an interview there tomorrow lol.

Corinthians Ministries what does believing in God have anything to do with UPS? If anything that place is Hell and i still work there but its better than nothing
I've come to agree with your views on this. Do you know if any package companies that are worth working at?
Bro, I just did an interview on Thursday, and then a tour of the building Friday morning with the manager. You are so correct, UPS is an absolute shit show. There are so many better jobs out there lol
