Party season is almost upon us so I've picked out some of our gorgeous new party worthy fabrics and paired them with the perfect party dress patterns. I've included more than one option for some of the fabrics for maximum choice. There are so many pretty fabrics that are party perfect and on trend with this seasons must have silver, red, asymmetric designs, glittery sparkle and cosy velvet all included. Everything is linked below as always, including some relevant tutorials to help give you lots of sewing tips too.
Our silver jersey nails the silver trend in a very wearable and comfortable way. The base of the fabric is a subtle dark grey colour and it is scattered with a super pretty, sparkly silver floral design plus it is a stretch fabric so lovely and comfortable too. We have a couple of gorgeously silky options to nail the current red trend - this season's must have colour. I'm sharing my party dress of choice this year, a glittery geometric number and we also have a classic little black dress with the current asymmetric sleeve trend and a silky soft, warm and wearable pretty velvet. So many pretty fabrics and lots of wearable ideas.

Thanks Lucy. Have made two versions of McCalls 8142 which hang beautifully. I did away with the slit up the side by continuing the hemline across the pattern - also makes it easier to add lining.

Kudos for adding a lining to your dress! Most things that should be lined aren't.
Love your videos and seeing what you've made. You have great styIe. I wonder if when you talk about patterns being size inclusive you might mention the starting size. Not all patterns include size 6 and some don't even do an 8.

Well done for getting these deadstock fabrics, there is nothing worse than hearing about fabric going to landfill !!! What a waste that would be......
I know! Yes I want to prioritise them for that reason, so much better than more waste.
Hi Lucy: I want to buy some of the silver fabric; it is so beautiful! The description on the website says polyester/wool, but down in the specs, it says 90% polyester and 5% elastane. Could you clarify, please? Thanks !!
I will get on to our supplier now about that, sorry, bear with me.
I've just heard back from our supplier, it was a typo on the ticket, it is actually 95% poly 5% elastane. It is absolutely gorgeous I agree, I hope you make a beautiful party outfit with it.
