One security tip in any hotel is to give the door a firm push from the outside, when it is supposed to be closed & locked. It is surprising the number of hotel room doors that cheerfully 'give way'!

Good Evening Lee. That was a Good deal Bed for the night and a Substantial Full English Breakfast Buffet. Those toasters want throwing away. Just need perhaps 2 or 3 Four Slice toasters. They are Excellent i have a four slice toaster that also toasts really thick bread. And it is a quick one at toasting Bread, Crumpets and even Bagels. I really liked your plate of Fine fare Lee. A very Lovely and Local Travel Lodge in Covent Garden. Ideal Hotel to stay at if you were planning a night out with Friends or Family. Go and see a Theatre Show or Film. Go and Treat yourself and have Good time in Covent Garden. Thank you very much Lee, for sharing your video. 😃😃👍👍

I used to work in Covent Garden , spent half my life trying to get away from there ! ...managed it , in the West Country these days ...much better.

another great video lee, i always stay in travelodge when i visit up north and its always a nice one where i stay . reasonably priced and breakfast nice. also friendly staff
We stayed at London Travelodge in May and breakfast was ok, I marked it a 7. For your information, unlike Premier Inn that offer scrambled, fried or poached eggs, Travelodge only do scrambled, you can't order fried or poached which is a shame.
Most excellent breakfast 🍳 my friend, pretty standard for those hotels. Very tasty 😋

It's never going to be a home from home, but like you said, the room was clean and does the job. The breakfast looked a lot better than I remembered them at Travelodge. Scrambled egg is always a better option than the frisby fried egg. Really good video again Lee, many thanks for the tour/update.

Good concise vid. That breakfast looked the biz. We had it at their St Mary St Edinburgh last Feb 3 nights inc the pig out and unlimited wifi £170
Great video stayed there last december and there this year 23 in december, OK hotel for location and good price but glad we didn't have the breakfast option, especially after this review lol.
I like those hotel buffet breakfasts, especially if I've been on the razzle the previous night, it would have been just sausages, bacon and scrambled eggs with tabasco for me, and 20 glasses of tomato juice !!

The only place we stay when we are seeing a show in London ..it’s ideal location clean and breakfast isn’t to bad ..it’s adequate to full you till lunch ...

At the start of the Vlog you should of said I better Hurry up or Ill meet myself coming in😂 I also prefer the Travel Inn their beds are so comfy. Blimey that room was basic but for the price in Covent Gardens with Breakfast & discount parking that's a bargain. you must of put your toast in more than once as they never come out that colour on the first attempt. Loved the Vlog Lee. Onwards

Very expensive room, even in central London. Breakfast just ok. scrambled egg probably made with liquid eggs as some hotels do. Beans a bit water, bacon and sausages a bit underdone. Cereal comes before hot stuff Lee !! Overall, 7 for the room and breakfast.
It's cheap for London, and the breakfast looked OK. Good to see that you've started mixing the brown sauce with the ketchup, that really is a game changer on a breakfast.
Hi Lee I remember when you stayed at travelodge before,for central London not a bad price nowadays.Typical large hotel breakfast it does the job ,the scrambled eggs are the catering powdered ones , lol small cereal packages being taken, are you coming to NYC or New Jersey this winter take care

Hey hun that breakfast looks nice scrambled egg. Sausages look nice so everything on the plate looks nice my score is 8.6 The room looks good And Small but there is only you. My score for the room 9.4 it was lovely and clean and as for the price not bad xxxx
Last travelodge breakfast I had was in a carrier bag tied to the door handle, stayed away with work a lot, Premier Inn or Holiday,Inn express, were my preferred places.
When on a fishing trip earlier in year, a group of us stayed in a hotel in West of Scotland. They had one of those stupid toasters that never cooked toast properly, my mate put it through again and the toaster burst into flames! Alarms going off everywhere

Price £150 for one night thought but expensive know it’s London thought bit pricey.
I stayed at Travelodge,Blackpool by football ground in August 2023 cost me £94 for 1 night stay on a Sunday.
Would cost £141 stay on Saturday looks like enjoyed your stay there&

Room looks more like a broom cupboard than a hotel room. Premier Inn all the way.
Decent enough breakfast though, especially with the Cumberland sausage. Remember staying at a Travel Lodge in Manc many years ago and the breakfast was good.
Nice to see a well stocked buffet breakfast for once. You probably got a good deal there considering the location.

Jeez... Bottomless pit of a belly more like lol... Great review and considering location, smashing price. Breakfast looked very good. Just checked on their website and price is the same if it is just you, or you and your significant other, which is a nice surprise. Room size not a problem because after a day in London, the minute your head hits the pillow, it's lights-out... Great review and a nice easy viewing. Good work
I've never stayed in a Travelodge I don't think, but if it's clean, it's ok, and this was clean. Ok, the room was a bit small and claustrophobic for me personally so I would have paid more for a double room. The breakfast was ok, shame they didn't have tinned tomatoes though and some folk will moan about the price, but this is central London in Covent Garden, you expect to pay more. It's also great that there is parking nearby too.

2:18 I wouldn't care how small the room is. I just think it's amazing that this hotel chain has squeezed this Travelodge into a corner of Covent Garden making it a very convenient stopover point. Anyway, onwards! I need to find out what the cost was.
As I have said before Lee, why is a full English breakfast ok but not any other hot food such as an Indian or Italian meal at the start of the day?
My grandma use to call all cereal rabbit food so I suppose I am pre disposed to hot food for breakfast.
How much?! 110 English pounds? How much?! Not according to the website. Its 57 for the room, plus 11 for the breky, plus 3 for wi-fi, per night and if you have a lady-friend with you her stay is included. Pay 67 for the room if you want the option to cancel and receive a full refund. We assume you stayed 2 nights, This makes a single night stay with nosh a massive bargain.
Depends on what day. I stayed Monday. Different days different prices.
Them toasters do wind me up, so much that i turned one up as it was on low, the next thing i know there is smoke billowing out of it :D. Lucky i had escaped and was sitting down at that point.

We stay there often when visiting London. Hope you went to the top secret comedy club over the road, brilliant place 8pm till 10pm every night . On Wednesdays there some big stars on and its cheep as chips. Got today iv had so.e awful breakfasts in the hotel, but your looked OK.

Location, Location at a price! In central London you won't find any bargain prices.
At least they serve real sausages, a must for a good breakfast.

A bit expensive for me but it is in the middle of London so I guess everywhere will be expensive.
I thought Travel lodges were cheap but £150.24 not cheap in my world, no wonder people sleep in shop doorways.

As a Londoner, its 1 of the few London hotels I've stayed in - went to a concert about 8 years ago nearby (easier to stay nearby cost about £35 on a sunday booked well in advance) than get a cab home!
Its been refurbished since, that's good. Its very centrally located as you say. Next time in that area, try "Becks" in Red Lion St (Darren John video some months ago) a great brekkie incl coffee c £10! Off the charts! Anyhow, TL Cov Gdn looked good 👍.
Cosy room, did you try swinging the cat? Breakfast looked nice. I think that travelodge is always dearer as its right by the theatres, and shopping whereas if you go further out they are usually cheaper.

Price--what you'd expect in London and on prime site.Breakfast ok but the scrambled eggs looked revolting!! Functional would summarise it for me.
Yeah that price is mad. As a civil engineer when staying in hotels normally negotiate a rste in advance. Can normally get £65.00 a night if outside the major cities if staying at least three nights.

I always stay a little outside the centre, much cheaper and with London's public transport system its fast to get around. I stayed in a London premier inn last week and saved over £300 on a 4 night stay simply because I took a 10 minute tube journey out of the centre.
I’ve stopped at Premier Inn Woking a few times with work and they had a Dualit toaster, fantastic I thought,would have been quicker with my cigarette lighter. Can’t win 👍
Have stayed in many travelodges don’t know where they get there sausage but as you say it’s a lot better than most breakfasts
was this a midweek stay?....if so it seems quiet dear but it is in the tourist area of Covent Garden...deffo prefer a Premier Inn...usually on Euston Road 🙂
You know where you stand with a Travelodge, all the same and I have stayed in quite a lot, the one at Hastings was quite nice and the Brighton Seafront one is nice as well :) Bit noisey though Brighton

The premier inn in Clacton the staff do the toast for you in a proper toaster how u like it and you can ask how your eggs are done and the serials are never brand ones

I quite like the food in travelodges. My favourite site is Kingston upon Thames then Manor House. Brekkie 8.5
Stayed in a Travel Lodge in Maidstone for 2 nights last year.It was crap.We had one evening meal that was utter rubish and the two breakfasts we had were a lot to be desired.Bland scrambled eggs watery baked beans sausages were tasteless and the bacon left a lot to be desired and those stupid toasters you have to put the bread through numerious times to get any colour on it
