I went July 2018 ... biggest issues were with the rooms ... we had 3 separate rooms on our reservation and not one of them resembled ANY pictures from their site ... my boyfriend and I couldn't unpack, i could touch all of the bathroom walls if I stretched my arms out ... the ACs were not functioning and the TVs were old so they didn't function well ... but the staff (bar, entertainment, food) were amazing ... Yes Clovis and Neil are the best bartenders... Don't order a BBC anywhere else

We haven't been t Antigua. This video brings back very good memories. It's such an underrated island but so beautiful. This resort looks very nice too. That's what you want when going to the Caribbean. :-)
It is quite underrated indeed. I think it is so because of the higher end price points of most hotels. The site itself is quite exquisite yet the hotel rooms would benefit from some modernization
With the grounds and service - absolutely. With the room itself, slightly less (albeit the view from our room was incredible it was very small and would greatly benefit of an update). Pretty much everyone working there was extremely friendly. The only issue I had at the beach is with the few "locals" constantly, sometimes 5-6 times per day, asking if we wanted to lease a jet ski.

We went there during "low season", plus, I usually try to film early in the morning when people are still sleeping or during breakfast/lunch or dinner to minimize the quantity of people in my footage. If you haven't already, make sur to subscribe as we just came back from Costa Rica and I am currently working on my next series of videos :-)
You will have a great time. While you are there, I definitely recommend the Wadadli island circumnavigation tour. 6 hours of pure bliss and they pick you up and drop you off directly from the hotel's beach!. We paid $100 from one of the "guys" on the beach (At the hotel, they charge $110 for the exact same trek). We insisted on not giving a deposit and paid directly on the vessel so there was no "risk" of losing any money. I always try to encourage the local people instead of the big enterprises when I can. Incredibly friendly staff. Great place. Sure, if you want "boutique" Go to Coco's (Awful patrons, but good staff.) or "corporate" go to Sugar Ridge, but if you want to chill and relax and have a great time....J~beach is the one.

Yes, it was a nice resort. It has been closed for a couple of years but, from what I heard, they are planning on reopening it probably before year end.
I've been to Antigua twice - lovely island! The only "issue" I had with the island was that their famous Antigua "Suzie's Hot Sauce" isn't hot enough for me. lol Thanks for watching and supporting :-)

Who knows, our paths may just cross - we hike up Mount Mansfield/Stowe and some of it's surrounding areas a few times per year (which the Appalachian Trail goes through) - Hope you have a great time on your cruise!! What are the ports of call?

We had the exact same experience with the rooms. Our luggage barely fit inside and they were constantly in the way no matter where we put them. lol
