Thanks for the moovies. I believe that there are differences between the European and the US versions of the SVX. I got 2 SVXes and neither got automatic seat belts, no standard alarm nor front fog lights, just rear fog lights. Both got all the LSi features and manual button for gearbox release. Neither got problems with gearbox nor rear beerings. And of course no 4 Wheel Steering (Japan only).
BUT DO I PRESS THE TRANSMITTER FOR 1 OR 2 SECONDS TO ARM AND DISARM THE SECURITY SYSTEM?!?!?!?!?! HOLY FUCK, SOMEONE HELP ME MY ALARM HAS BEEN GOING OFF FOR 25 YEARS!
Just push the security button to disable the alarm and forget about it. If you can't get the system to disarm easily with the remote, it's likely the module failed.
I love that at 25 seconds, the dude drives the SVX right up to the restaurant table! That's love.
